Panic in the box AGAIN

This has been the Sterling we hoped we’d get.

Panic just about every time they get the ball in our box. Which is mad when we’ve got Silva, Badiashile, a huge keeper, and several tall players. Yet we freak out when any kind of cross is played in.

There’s just no spark or magic in our entire attack as usual. You never, EVER get the feeling that a goal is coming. I’m desperate for the season to be over so we can get a proper manager to drill these players.

Now I remember why I stopped watching us for the last month. These players are a joke.

Soft lobbed cross with 2 CB’s and a massive keeper and we still concede. With their very first attack.

How much I now care about Kova leaving depends on the midfielder we bring in. If we get a top player in then I’m fine seeing him walk. Love him, think he’s brilliant when in form. But if we can get Lavia or Rice I think it’s a situation like Jorginho/Enzo where we’re getting a long term upgrade. Like J5 it be annoying seeing him at a domestic rival but it’s not like he a match winner or gigantic difference maker who will haunt us like a striker or creative player.

Villa are flying and on the up. They’ll be thinking to themselves that they can pull a Newcastle next season and push for top 4. Zero chance they’d sell their star keeper who is a massive fan favorite. Martinez himself had some quotes I saw on Twitter in last week or two about how much he loved Villa and wasn’t thinking about leaving.

It’s weird, when Mané first left Liverpool fans were seemingly okay with it because he wasn’t pulling up trees towards the end of his time there. But during those months earlier in the season when Liverpool were down in the mud struggling with us I saw a lot of those same fans blaming the lack of Mané’s killer mentality and aggression for their woes. He does seem like the kind of guy that has accomplished everything and doesn’t really have the fire anymore. Probably best to avoid.

Nearly 3-0 down in 15 minutes. Milan are dogshit. Either City or Madrid beats these sides 4 or 5-0 in the final. Unless Pep pulls a Pep and chokes at a historic level.

Seeing this shit Milan team who we destroyed in the last 4 is kind of gutting, tbh. Look at them….they’re awful! If we hadn’t imploded this season we could’ve done some damage in the CL again.

I can’t really picture Mané playing anywhere else given the personnel we will already have. I expect much better and bigger things for Mudryk under a proper coach with a proper team structure next season. So with him and Sterling that left side where Mané played for Liverpool is covered. The #10 area is also crowded. So if the rumors are even true I guess he could be a fallback option as the striker if we can’t get a proper #9? I kind of have a bad feeling that we will once again see Lukaku in a Chelsea shirt. 😩 Trying to pry Osimhen out of De Laurentiis’ s hands will be the fight of the century. And I don’t think we could afford the £150m or whatever for him anyways. Levy would be forced into hiding for the rest of his life if he sold us Kane. Ivan Toney is a big risk stepping up into such a pressurized situation as the “savior” of Chelsea’s striker woes. There really aren’t many obvious targets. So Mané could be a short term solution perhaps? Who knows…

Lavia, striker, keeper. That’s all we need. We CANNOT go into another season with Kepa as the #1. The Mané rumors are intriguing. I just wonder how motivated he still is these days at his age. You can 100% picture Poch loving him in his team. I’m not expecting us to go crazy in the window again in terms of overall spend. We can get a great new midfielder like Lavia for a decent fee. It doesn’t need to be a £100m player like Rice to significantly upgrade. Likewise with a new keeper. Our biggest spend has to be on getting the right striker and the bulk of our budget needs to go there.

So are we mathematically safe now? Haven’t been paying attention.

Levy would die before selling their greatest ever PL player to us. Not when the Spuds fans are already calling for his head. He’d never be able to show his face at that stadium again if he sold us Kane and saw us hire Poch who many of their supporters want back.

If they get their midfield overhaul right this summer they’ll be right back up there challenging for the league, sadly. All the hopes of their “era/cycle” of coming to a flaming end turned out to just be a patch of horrible form.

With our remaining fixtures we are in real, legitimate relegation danger. We may very well lose every single remaining match. In fact all of our remaining opponents will be HEAVY favorites to beat us and with good reason. We better pray that those down at the bottom also drop a bunch of points. E cause we ain’t wining any.
