	WTF WAS THAT EMBARRASSING DEFENDING
 -
Havertz on pens makes me nervous every fucking time.
 -
The only possible way they were scoring is from a setpiece or mistake. Fucking jammy cunts.
 -
Koulibaly doesn’t even touch him!!! That’s the sort of situation that we can’t have! Gift them a chance out of nothing.
 -
FINALLY FELIX!!! The most difficult finish he’s attempted today 🤣🤣🤣
 -
Think some of you are being way too harsh. The general play has been great I think. We’re passing it well and quickly, breaking the lines through the middle extremely well with Kova, Enzo, and Felix, and we’re getting the ball in dangerous positions to cross from both flanks. Havertz is having his usual struggles against low blocks and congested areas which is why we haven’t scored. That and Felix looks amazing with everything but that last bit of quality.
 -
Just about the ONLY couple of dangerous moments Everton had was down to a sloppy giveaway from us. They’re showing zero attacking ambition here which is understandable given their siuation. The joy we’re getting is coming mostly down that left flank. Mudryk could feast out there if we bring him on. Pulisic has done okay but isn’t sharp.
 -
We’ve done absolutely everything but score. Chance after chance but fail at the final action. Like the Chelsea of Tuchel.
 -
Everton have been pathetic but we can’t give them stupid fouls like that. With the way they’re parking the bus, if they get a fluke goal first then they’ll be nearly impossible to break down.
 -
Felix again looking spectacular everywhere on the pitch but can’t catch a break with the final touch to score.
 -
Pulisic favored over Mudryk and Madueke again. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ This dude should be used only in emergency situations the rest of the way and sold in the summer. Not given preference over these expensive new players that need as many minutes as possible before next season to settle in.

Mount isn’t nearly as talented as Salah or De Bruyne. He doesn’t single handedly win you matches like those two do. He’d be a very solid cog in a team just like he has been here. I think we’ve seen what Mase can do at his absolute best. Don’t think there’s some level he will ascend to where we look back and say “man, how the fuck did we let that guy go?” Also, Mount himself has to be very careful about which team he decides he wants to go to. Liverpool’s midfield is in such dire shape that he’d get plenty of minutes there but if they somehow get Bellingham then what? He wouldn’t immediately walk into the United side either and certainly not City’s. His best option by far would be Newcastle. He’d be one of their star players and would play every match without question.
 -
Matt Law and several other English journalists still talk about Mount as if he has still been the player from the CL winning season or under Lamps where he was the key to our whole team. He hasn’t been that guy in a long time. It might be a PR disaster in the English press but it’s certainly not a disaster on the pitch. Love Mase but he doesn’t have some sort of world class attribute or skill set that is difficult to replace.
 -
English journalists and pundits who haven’t watched Mount over the past 12 months will kill us for letting him go and call Boehly an idiot etc not realizing what those of us who watch every minute of every game he has played this season: that he’s been unbelievably shit for a loooong time now. He is no longer that first on the team sheet guy he was over the past few years. And you don’t pay monster wages for a player who will spend more time on the bench than in the XI. Sucks that a player who has been Chelsea through and through from a small child will leave but this is a ruthless business. If we buy a shiny new striker and with Nkunku coming in there is simply no place for Mase. Seeing him play for and rediscover his form with a top 4 rival will sting initially but I can’t see him becoming a world class player who haunts us for 5 years like Salah or De Bruyne. Anything £50m or more and we’ll have done extremely well with only 1 year left on his contract.
 -
I really do love how we do indeed seem to be prioritizing another midfielder even after spending mega money on Enzo. And I’d be happy with any of the guys we’re being linked with. Rice, Lavia, or Koné would thrive next to Enzo I believe. Wonder if Mount’s future would affect any pursuit of Rice. Him coming here to play with his best mate would probably override the lack of CL football for a season. But I’m not sure he’d choose us over Arse/Liverpool/United if Mase goes. Think Lavia might be the shrewdest buy, though. Still a teenager and already looks like a 30 year old grizzled vet in midfield.

Both Milan teams are terrible and we’ve taken Benfica’s best player. So I hope Napoli get through on that side of the bracket. Like others, I also pray that Bayern can take City out. If we pull the rabbit out of the hat and get through Madrid I don’t want to face City in a two legged tie. And I really don’t want to see City finally win the UCL. My stance on this competition is always the same. If Chelsea doesn’t win it I don’t want any other English side to. With City in particular I just want to always have those bragging rights over them. They can win PL after PL but I don’t ever want them to have a European Cup like we do.
 -
Bring on Real Madrid. Vini vs Reece, Kroos & Modric vs Enzo and Kova or Kante. We bossed them with a far inferior team than we have now 2 years ago and should’ve gotten past them last season also with a worse team than we have now. I fancy us if we have everyone fit. They hate playing us.

Didn’t impress you at the WC? Hmm. Opposite for me. I never really noticed him before that tournament. Saw journalists praising him often on social media but didn’t pay much attention. But I thought he looked excellent in the WC. Super tidy on the ball, can get around the whole pitch and contribute, good passing range, and can chip in goals here and there. He actually reminds me a lot of Mount. Solid at everything but not spectacular at any one thing. In other words, the sort of player every coach would want in their team. If the price were reasonable I’d take him without question. But as we‘ve seen with Brighton over the past couple of years they’ll likely hold out for £80m or something.
 -
He’ll have to unless we sell both Mendy AND Kepa, right?we move those two on and keep Slonina as our #2 ideally. But finding buyers for them feels highly unlikely.
 -
I don’t fancy Sanchez at all. Decent keeper but no better than what we’ve got with Mendy and Kepa. Mac Allister on the other hand I’d love at the club if the price was reasonable. Problem is the price likely won’t be reasonable as Brighton are flying high and can demand whatever huge fee they wish.
 -
As for Osimhen, I am indeed starting to dream a little bit about seeing him in a Chelsea shirt. But then I read all these quotes coming from Inter’s owner seemingly every couple of days about how uncertain things are with Lukaku and can’t see how we could make another £100m+ striker happen when we already have one weighing us down like an anchor.
 -
Liverpool’s overall performance was pretty pathetic. They gave it a bit of a go early on but then Madrid completely bossed it. You could tell that Real Madrid had zero respect for TAA’s defensive ability and attacked him time and time again. Biggest thing that stood out once again for Liverpool besides Trent is that they do indeed desperately need a total midfield overhaul like their supporters are clamoring for. Fabinho is done as a starter and they have nobody else in their prime. They better hope Bellingham is as desperate to join them as their fans think he is. And that their owner is willing to spend the £150m it’ll take which I’m skeptical about. Makes it all the more incredible that our club went out and got our main man immediately before the scramble in the summer.
 -
Liverpool are completely wide open defensively. Real Madrid are carving through them quite effortlessly. Vini Jr is humiliating Trent repeatedly.
 -
Haaland’s greatest ability is just having an insane instinct to always be in the right place at the right time. It’s uncanny. And with all the hysteria about whether he’d fit in that City team, it’s really the perfect place for him. He doesn’t really have to touch the ball that often, doesn’t have to be involved in their general play. But they create like 30 good chances per match and with his instinct to always pop up where the ball is likely to land he scores buckets of goals. Honestly can’t imagine what it feels like to have a goal scoring machine in your team that scores so freely. To watch your team every match and expect like 3 goals each game rather than hoping like hell that we just score 1. Hope the club can strike gold with whichever striker we bring in this summer. We can’t go another season where our leading scorer is going to have like 10 goals.
 -
The only teams I truly want to avoid are City and Bayern. I don’t want to watch us sitting deep for 90 minutes while they pop it around and keep the ball from us. Strange as it is to say this season, I will fancy us against anyone else.
