You seriously think Enrique who has been dying to come to the PL for ages told us that he would only come in the summer? Give me a break. He would’ve taken the job before Potter even stepped out of Cobham. The jokers were probably just so incredibly indecisive that they can’t make their mind up on a permanent manager so they’re doing this to give themselves more time.

Better options in wide areas? We’ve just spent the GDP of a small country on wide players over the last year and have excellent wide defenders. And Enzo is the best “commander” around. Sounds like BS.

Pretty sure Messi himself has been quoted as saying that Luis Enrique is one of the best coaches he’s ever worked with. Or maybe it was one of the other Barca superstars that said it. So he definitely does have the respect of his players.

Imagine if Kante stays fit from here on out. Enzo has looked great so far already, but with a version of Kante we saw last night it takes such a burden off of his legs.

Lamps was sacked here and we instantly improved. He was sacked at Everton and they instantly improved. He just isn’t a PL manager at this point in his early managerial career. He needs to go back down to the Championship for a few seasons, build up his reputation again, and then perhaps get another PL job at a small club. Having seen our board make some super silly managerial decisions over the past year I don’t even want there to be a 1% chance that they “fall in love” with Frank and give him the job permanently.

I guess. But I’d rather not have the interim be Frank if we must have one. Get someone in with no emotional ties to the club.

Lamps until the end of the season? Man, idk. If we suddenly flip a switch and look really good for the rest of the way I’d be terrified that the owners would give him the job permanently again which would be a massive mistake. Also, you know Mount would walk back into the team. He’d probably drop Felix who has been the fulcrum and key to our attacking link between midfield and forward line since he’s been here.

Luis Enrique does seem genuinely desperate for this job. He has wanted to come to the PL for quite a while now and this is the best job he could ask for tbh. Wouldn’t be my choice but he would be interesting.

Never seen him play so 🤷‍♂️ That Portuguese striker from Benfica is interesting but I doubt we’ll ever want to negotiate with them again.

People talk about wanting Osimhen and I think he’d be great, but what would truly make this team world class is a Luis Suarez or Aguero type. A striker who is a wonderful footballer in tight spaces who can score from any angle with any sort of unorthodox finish. We get Havertz and Felix into SO MANY dangerous positions right around the box but fluff our lines. Nkunku should thrive in these situations but if we also had a natural striker we’d score so many damn goals. Julian Alvarez would’ve been fantastic in the role but he just re-upped with City. Can’t really think of the ideal player off the top of my head.

Yep, all 3 were superb. Koulibaly and Kova were excellent overall as well. This is why I’m VERY confident that with a proper manager and just 2-3 key signings this summer we’ll be just fine. We aren’t that far away from being a great team. We just desperately need a reliable goal scorer. More than any side in Europe we need a bloody striker.

Havertz has the weakest shot I’ve ever seen from a professional attacking footballer. He’s a big, powerful guy but has the shot of a women’s player.

Him playing off of an absolutely lethal finisher would transform us. Does everything well but the finishing. And it’s strange because when you watch the goals he has scored throughout his career he’s capable of producing worldies. But he’s so damn inconsistent.

Only times Liverpool have really looked like scoring is from corners. We should be out of sight here as usual. Can’t help but think Auba on the end of a lot of these chances over the past few months and we score quite a few of them.
