It's been so obvious for ages that he's the prototypical #8. A midfielder who bursts forward with pace and power and uses his supreme physique and athleticism like a prime Yaya Toure. Why Conte tried to use him as more of a forward still confuses me to this day.
We were right to send him on loan because he's still raw and needs to play every week. Seeing lots of kneejerkers on Twitter (mostly from non-Chelsea fans) saying we we idiots for doing so. If he continues to develop like this he'll be a huge asset for us next season and our midfield options will be insane. Imagine a midfield 3 of Kante, Baka, and RLC. We'd bully everyone off the pitch.
Goes without saying that now we have Drinkwater and have RLC to return next summer we have zero need to still be after Ross Barkley. Would be a total waste of money.

I'm really impressed with how well Christensen handles the physical side of the game. He's not very big or strong, but it just doesn't affect. He coped well with the physical beast that is Lukaku. Conte's decision is a testament to how highly he rates this guy and performances like today's make me near certain that Christensen will be in the first 11 every week in a very short time.

Some fans should feel ashamed of themselves with the abuse they give Cahill. I get he is not everyone's cup of tea and when people use constructive criticism of why they want him out but seeing the class of some fans who call one of our own names like 'cunt, donkey, spastic' and making videos taking the piss out of him is pathetic. Just look at what he has contributed for us in the time has been here. Won everything, contributed goals, put his body on line and you get fans treating him the way they do. Really sad.

Brought on to protect Alonso I felt as he was on a yellow. Now can we stop taking jibes at Conte for playing Gary? He dropped GC and rightfully so, we looked much better without him. His inclusion against Arsenal was questionable, but two below-par performances after his suspension will make any manager scratch their heads and Conte is no Mourinho with this untouchables bullshit.

Wake mr conte cahill needs dropped please don't do what mourinho did with Ivan and keep playing a out of form player 

We can barely field an English player, the least we could do is make Cahill captain. 
Honestly, I don't think Conte is daft enough to keep playing an incompetent player when we have 2 very capable CBs waiting. Maybe he was pressured into making that decision. Regardless, it's only a matter of time before Cahill is dropped. A la Iniesta last season.
