EskWeston got a reaction from akgw13 in The Board
The only time you can judge the board and what they have done at the very least is when the transfer window is closed. These days more than ever the transfer speculation is a mixture of actual news, reporters drawing attention to themselves and clubs and players using the media for their own agenda. For all we now we have a number of deals tied up and are waiting for any number of reasons to announce them.
Personally I will decide on the boards abaility this summer once everything is done on the transfers.

EskWeston got a reaction from BowtiesAreCool in 🏴 Nathaniel Chalobah
Hard to compare them as players, very very different. But in terms of potential Chalobah has as much if not more than Pogba. I really see Nathaniel growing into that holding role in midfield. Like i said a little more maturity and he would be really awesome, and he is most of the time.

I am sure clubs like Barca are interested as he is a talent. it is down to Chelsea to convince him that here is the best place for him.

EskWeston got a reaction from Strike in 🏴 Nathaniel Chalobah
Trust me, Nathaniel Chalobah is NOT underrated by anyone at CFC. The difference between Piazon and Chalobah is that Piazon has a bit more maturity in his play that Chalobah, Chalobah can dominte games, but sometimes when 1 - 0 down playing holding midfield he will try a flick or back heel and lose possesion rather than do the simple thing. Piazon will always do what is needed, if he feels he can make a run he will do, but if it is not on he will hold the ball up and look for the best pass. That is why i beleive Piazon is closer to the first team that Chalobah.
Take nothing away from Chalobah though he is bloody awesome, think more and more his best position is the holding role, could be a legend there if he continues in the same development.

EskWeston got a reaction from Bolt from the Blue in 🇧🇪 Kevin de Bruyne
I think it was the right move to send him on loan to Bremen, he is playing and playing well. He needed a bridge between Genk and us, playing at a higher level and on a regular basis and that is what he is doing. He is a talent and i have no doubt that he will make it with us, he just needs to be brought along a little like with Lukaku.

EskWeston got a reaction from zolayes in 🏴 Nathaniel Chalobah
I would say as time went on his best position was midfield. He is able to influence the game better there and he can be a big influence. I would keep him in that position now, he is a big talent and all he needs now is to mature more and this loan and any future loans will do just that.

Eden has a partner and a child, not too sure if the signing is to do with company. Having Eden on board just makes it easier for us to sign a player that was of interest to us....

EskWeston got a reaction from Hutcho in Edinson Cavani
Signing a striker will effectively mean we have completely given up on Lukaku and/or Sturridge. And i certainly don't think we should give up on either. Stick with Torres, Sturridge and Lukaku is what i would do.

EskWeston got a reaction from nadavTKL in Luka Modric
Don't see why Modric would be a target for us now. Seems a little pointless to spend money, especially that sort of money when we are fine for central midfielders.

EskWeston got a reaction from Rambo in 🏴 Nathaniel Chalobah
Well that depends on a LOT of things, firstly the gap between youth team and first team. Look at what it has done to even Josh McEachran, the most talented player we have had in our academy for many many years and his development has stalled. And the most crucial is we need a manager willing to bring them through and give them minutes. We can't know how these players will do unless we play them, look at how well Tore is doing in Germany, didn't get anywhere NEAR the first team..

Having good moments and times when he can't get involved in the game. Still very early for him and he will improve and be a very good player i am sure.

it was always a very strange one when Paulo was given his last contract, which was a long one. Never made sense and he should have left back then.....

EskWeston got a reaction from BlueSunshine in 🇧🇷 Lucas Piazón
Different positions for a start. But Mirolav's ability was there for all to see, even when given a chance in the first team he impressed. This is a point we are failing on, if the players are not good enough to contribute to our first team then fine. But if they have shown that they can make an impact we need to give them every oppertunity to do that and improve. We will NEVER come across a 17 to 20 year old from our ranks who is going to go into the first team and dominate a game every week, which seems to be the expectation at the moment. Realism, patience and understading is needed to develop these youngsters.

EskWeston got a reaction from sLOVEnian Blue in 🏴 Ryan Bertrand
Bertrand is a player very much in the Ashley Cole mould. He is very good at getting forward and has a great cross on him. The experience he has over VanAanholt is massive. Van Aanholt is more in the mould of Bosingwa in as much that he gets forward with good pace and has a great shot on him but is very prone in defensive situations. Whilst i will be happy to have both once Ash retires personally i think Bertrand is the better option at the moment.
