Keeping Guus would be ideal, but there doesn't look like any possible way that is going to happen. Same can be said of getting Jose back, that would be the biggest shock of all. Do you mean an ex Chelsea player? If that is the case then to me the only possible option is Zola, who i feel it is still a little early for. Ancellotti for me is not the right man for the job. It is extremely hard to pick someone out who you would think would be ideal. I think at the moment i would have to pick Rijkaard, with Guus coming back as DOF....

You get the feeling that no matter who we appoint as next manager a lot of people will not be happy with the choice. We need someone who can build something with us long term. No matter who it is we need to let them have time to build their own squad and impliment their own plans. Bilic wouldn't be a bad choice at all.

If we are serious about getting into the Champions League final then i think we have to rest the majority of our key players for this game. Would love to see Stoch get a start to show what he can do for 90 mins, and i hope it happens. The Barca home game is the only thing of any importance right now and we have to make sure that our players are rested (especially considering Barca have a huge game against Madrid), and we reduce the risk of any injuries.

Fantastic result, we are in a very solid position now having to just make sure we win our home game. However i was not too thrilled with the performance. It was an incredibly risky game inviting so much pressure onto ourselves, especially against the attacking force of Barcelona. We had absolutely not intention of attacking them and i feel we showed them too much respect, even the couple of times we did manage to get forward their frailties at the back were obvious but we did not exploit it. Don't get me wrong i am chuffed to bits about the result, and Barca can whinge and moan all they like about negative football because football is all about the result. However i think we were just too negative and should have shown a little bit more ambition whilst still being strong at the back.

I am sure there is another loan for him next season. Centre back is one position we have no problem with. He can play other positions also including left back i believe which could be a possibility, but i would have thought if anyone was comming back to take the second left back spot it would be Ryan Bertrand.

Lol. He may not be a world beater, but from what i have seen of him playing for us i would pick him over Malouda and Kalou............

Since Ricardo joined us on loan i have been somewhat suprised by his lack of games for us. Everytime he has come on for the first team i have thought that he has done very well and looked dangerous and lively, certainly compared to Malouda and Kalou. He is certainly a gifted footballer who can cause problems for defences yet we are not playing him. Last night for the reserves he showed that he is also a top pro, he played to win and he gave his all, which you don't always get from first teamers in the reserves. So i don't think that his attitude could be the problem. I have seen it suggested that his lack of games could be due to the fact we want to take him permanantly in the summer and this is our way of keeping the price down. Or is it just that Guus Hiddink just does not fancy him at all? What are your views on the Quaresma situation....

We certainly need Drogba on form tonight! Drogba, Lampard and Essien are our key players going forward. If we can get at them enough times then we will score goals. I would love to see Drogba at his absolute best tonight, then we have a fantastic chance of winning this game,

I am very excited going into this game. It is one of those truly unpredictable games. A 2 - 1 defeat out in Barcelona would not be terrible for us. If we can come away from there with a win it would be incredible. But i have a feeling that we will see a 2 - 2 draw for us tonight, which would obviously be a great result.

The West Ham fans abuse of Lampard is the most bizarre hatred in football for me. They hate him for being a traitor yet he left because of the abuse he got of the West Ham fans while he was thre, this because they felt he was only played because of his dad. Frank then goes on to be the best midfielder in the world, and is branded a traitor and abused by the club he left because they treated him like s**t...... Sums up the mentality of the spammer fans if you ask me.

Whilst we are looking at their players with an edge of fear, if Barca are not doing the same with our players (Drogba, Lampard, Essein, JT, Cech.......) then they will certainly underestimate them. They are massively hyped up, and some of that is clearly justified, but they are not unbeatable. The same things were said when we knocked them out a few seasons ago.

Spurs have been interested in Jack for a while if you believe the press. Jack Cork is a very solid player and has found his best position at defensive midfield, although he can play at centre back or right back. Jack is one of those players we won't be looking to offload because he has done so well. I think either a loan in the premier league or back with us to see what he can do.

I don't think Ancelotti was the right man for us anyway, for many reasons.

Ferreira is injured! I wouldn't play Essien at Left back! We would miss his drive in midfield, and we want to dominate the midfield battle in that game. For me it would be Ivanovic.

I would like to see us sign Sturridge. I can see us looking at English talent like him and possible Ashley Young. The deal mentioned could be possible. £8m for Anelka plus whatever the tribunal sets for Sturridge. So we would be getting about £10m for Anelka i think.... I would be fairly happy to see that happen i think.

Not too sure how i feel about Ancelotti! I think personally i would like a different type of manager than him...

If he is a central midfielder then unless Ballack and Deco leave then we will not be signing him. But as it is very possible that they could both be leaving i guess it is possible we are thinking of bringing him here, he looks decent enough in that vid but that doesn't mean much.

Not going to happen for 2 reasons: 1. We want him to get used to English football, so if he is loaned out it will be in this country. 2. So that he can be included in our home-grown roster for Europe i am not sure if we will loan him out anyway, i think it is 3 years at the club from memory.

More than likely but if Bosingwa is not fit as well it limits us to 1 backline only. JT, Alex, Ivanovic and Mancienne. If thats the case i would play Mancienne right back and Ivanovic left back.

Closr call for me between Lampard and Cole! Drogba and Anelka have had a great half a season each, but both Cole and Lampard have been consistant throughout. It would be nice for Cole to pick up the award because he gets a tough time from a LOT of people, but for me i think Frank edges it...

We all know the Spanish league isn't a patch om the Premier League at the moment. Barca should be just as worried about us we them. We can beat anyone, including the magical Barcelona, don't expect Barca to run us ragged because they will not! Barca are getting such massive hype it is unbelievable, this may work in our favour as there are now expectations of us in this game and we can go out and try and prove a point.

Our title chase was effectively over months ago. It was an extremely slim chance that we could have clawed it back and won the league anyway...... We have 2 cups up for grabs and we need to concentrate on those 2 and make sure we win them both.

I would like to see us go for a different "type" of winger anyway. Someone more direct, i know we keep going back to it but when we had Duff, Robben and Joey we were unstoppable and our formation clicked perfectly. It was the speed and skill of our attacks which let us play some fantasic counter attacking football and we were not stuck with the slow build up play we see more often than not now.

There are more than just a couple of managers who can be successful with us. It is just a case of picking the one that will suit us the best. We also DO really need a change in our squad and give ourselves a fresh injection, but we should prepare and allow for a season to build sometihng.
