  1. Yaaawwwwwnnnn..... How did you get on in your Champions League Semi Final????
  2. Attention seeking twat Poll has to stick his bloody face in!!! He knows nothing and his opinion counts for squat!!!!!
  3. How the f**k would Graham bloody Poll know if the ref had his hotel changed and he was smuggled out the country or not!!!
  4. Blah blah blah.... "When Roman gets bored......." that one will still be spouted in 10 years time.... With your hatred of Chelsea it must be tough for you that 2 Chelsea legends have saved your season, even though financially YOUR team are in the mire..
  5. You won't see any other bookies do that though, and Paddy Power is an official Chelsea partner, bit of a publicity stunt but still.... The fall out from this is going to be massive, both UEFA and Chelsea will be considering how they respond to this. Do we accept any punishment? Do we go on the attack with UEFA?
  6. Hopefully after last night the lads will be well fired up to do some damage to Arsenal in this game. If we can go out and win this game it will gurantee us 3rd place and then we can relax and rest players for the last 2 games so we have a fully fit squad for the FA Cup final.
  7. I would love to see Megsons reaction is the same thing happened to him and sent Bolton down! I am sure he would be incredibly calm and gracious........
  8. Yup, i was saying the same thing, and was why i was a little dissapointed we didn't have a go at them more, especially when they were down to 10 men and their defence looked shakey all night.
  9. Bolton manager Gary Megson has criticised the behaviour of Chelsea players after their Champions League semi-final exit to Barcelona at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night. Didier Drogba and Michael Ballack both angrily confronted referee Tom Henning Ovrebo after the 1-1 draw which put the Catalans into the final on away goals. The incidents were played out in the full glare of live television, which also picked up Drogba swearing into the camera, and Megson said there was no place for such behaviour. "I can fully understand the Chelsea players being as irate as they were, being so close to a Champions League final yet finishing so far away from it," he said. "But I thought the scenes did not reflect well on the game we have - not so much Chelsea and the players involved but football. "Whether the referee has had a good, bad or indifferent game you can't behave like that. "Football does not intend to hold its players up as role models, people tend to do that for them, but just in normal behaviour that is not on. "You can come out with a load of reasons why, although you can never justify it, but it is just not on and I'm sure everyone involved in it will apologise for those things. "It does not reflect well on the game itself." Source: ITV.com
  10. Nah, it has to be having 2 players sent off in the Semi's next year..... You have to marvel at our bad luck in this competition. We make 5 semi finals in 6 years, which is an unbelievable achievment, yet we suffer from freak incidents and poor ref's to stop in reaching our ultimate goal.
  11. Lol, could you imagine seeing ASSMAN in the starting line up!!!! To be fair he looks a decent shot stopper, wonder what he is like on crosses? Because in the prem dealing with crosses well is a must.
  12. Done that one already..... they will have to come up with something new next year!
  13. For something like this to happen in a Champions League Semi-Final second leg is just completely unacceptable. With so much at stake to have such a useless ref in charge is just poor by UEFA. Yes we could/should have done more to get the second goal and put it to bed. But at the end of the day, as everything stands the ref cost us a place in the final. There is talk of boycotts and playing the youngsters in the CL next season, but lets be honest, it isn't going to happen. Purely because of the CL revenue the club receive for playing every year and progressing.
  14. It is funny that this game came the same day as Ian McGarry's article in the Sun asking if CL ref's are being led to being biased against Chelsea. It is hard not to think of conspiracies with everything that has been said and what happened last night, but you would hope that is not the case..... Drogba will no doubt be punished, but good on him, i just hope it doesn't overshadow our performance and the shocking ref in the papers.
  15. You do start getting the feeling that we probably are jinxed! We WILL win it soon and hopefully next year after a little rebuilding.
  16. Of course nothing will happen! UEFA are dead chuffed with the result. Actually not just the penalty, but where the hell did the 4 minutes added time come from?
  17. You can't knock the boys for what they have done through the 2 legs, and we most certainly deserved to go through to the final.... However, i come away from that game full of dissapointment. Dissapointment at the referee for being an absolute twat and bottling some massive choices. And also dissapointment at not taking the game to Barca when they were there for the taking.....
  18. Absolutely, the boys did their job to the letter over the 2 legs. And we were undone by some poor ref descisons. But i still stay we should have bossed the game more, especially when they were down to 10 men and we would have got the second goal.... But the boys did what they had to right to the end.
  19. To not be given 1 penalty is bad, to not be given 2 is extremely poor. But to not be given 5/6 is absolutely shocking! The ref either had no balls or was seriously given Barca massive advantages.
  20. 1 shot on target the whole game and they bloody score from it! The ref was shocking, of that there is no doubt. We had chances to wrap the game up and didn't take them. No matter how cheated we are i am still a little dissapointed in the fact that even when they were down to ten men we didn't take the initiative to put them under pressure and not allow them onto us.
  21. It is incredible to think that this is our 5th Semi Final in 6 years: 2008/2009 - v Barcelona - ????? 2007/2008 - v Liverpool - Won 2006/2007 - v Liverpool - Lost 2005/2006 - Knocked out first qualifying round by Barcelona 2004/2005 - v Liverpool - Lost 2003/2004 - v Monaco - Lost Can we follow United and make it 2 finals in a row???? I think we will but i also think it is going to be a tough and emotional game just like all the other Semi finals we have played in!!!
  22. It is extremely difficult for young players when the first team manager is changed so regulary, the managers are less likely to take the risk of a youngster. For me though we need to be looking at the coaching set up at the youth level, Dermot Drummy just doesn't seem to be the right man to be coaching the under 18's, i would like to see us invest in some better coaches for the youth levels. In an ideal world it would be ex-players.
  23. Thanks, He has only just turned 18, physically he has coped extremely will with reserve football. He is looking very promising indeed, lets hope we can see him continue his goal scoring feats next season as well.
  24. As the youth and Reserves season has drawn to a close i will be doing a few reviews of the season, and also some player reviews for the future. Today i am going to be highlighting someone who has done something at reserve and youth level that we have not seen since Carlton Cole, and that is score goals on a very regular basis. Borini is and Italian workhorse, he puts himself around the pitch and gets stuck in. So his work ethic is absolutely spot on. He isn't the most skillful player but he has his moments of flair, he isn't the fastest either. But what he can do is score goals, he is one of those strikers who can pop up in the right place everytime and nick a goal. He has played in a number of positions for the youth and reserves this season and performed well and scored from all of them. He has played the lone striker, as a winger and as the attacking midfielder number 10. Most impressive though are his stats: Youth team: 10 appearances - 11 goals Reserves: 6 starts + 2 Subs appearances - 4 goals He has finished the top goalscorer in the reserves and second in the youth Behind Nouble who has played more games. Next season will be an interesting one for Borini, the club will more than likely want to keep him at the club so he is eligable for the UEFA homegrown rule, which means the reserves will be his place. That in itself will be a challenge as the games are few and far between, but if he can carry this seasons form into next season Borini will be pushing on having a look in with the first team.......
