  1. Carlo has to take his share of the blame for our current problem, reluctance to make REAL changes to a seriously underperforming team and poor sub choices can only be laid at his feet. However there are plenty of other things wrong at this club at the moment, the biggest of which is the way the club is run.
  2. In reality you do no favours to an 18 year old player keeping him around the first team unless he is at a club where he will play at least 50% of games. At that age players need games to develop and mature into the players they can be and fulfill their potential. This season he has made 3 starts for the first team with 2 addition sub appearances with 3 more reserve starts, that is no-where near enough for a player who is still developing. Until you are REALLY going to allow a young player to compete for first team oppertunities then why keep them around. It isn't fair for Bruma to only get a game if both Alex and Ivanovic are out, he needs to be allowed the oppertunity to show he can play more regular.

  4. There was quite a few questions raised for that game too. However 6 games on and the excuse of playing players into form is pointless. Even if he did play a full strength team and we won, how much confidence would a full strength team gain from beating Ipswich? And how much of a disaster would it be if that same team was to LOSE to Ipswich? The players who have not been played i.e Sturridge, Kakuta, Bruma Van Aanholt and Josh McEachran fully deserve a chance to show that they can do what the established players have not done and that is put a performance in.
  5. Again the poor planning within the club has left us in a difficult position. Bruma to inexperienced seemingly to be relied upon by Carlo yet too important to go on loan to get experience. Is a poor position these young players are being left in, not games to play to further their development.....
  6. If Ancelotti plays his strongest (and by that i mean the most experienced) side for Sunday then he will certainly go down in my estimation. Oppertunities need to be given to other players because we are getting nothing from the "pros" who are getting played week in week out no matter how they perform.
  7. Good to see such positive attitudes from clearly loyal supporters
  8. The best thing for Bruma would be a loan to be honest, at his age he needs games and he isn't getting them.
  9. I bloody well hope not. Hopefully it is just giving him positional awareness experience. Would be the biggest waste of talent i have ever seen if we have plans to mould him into a deep lying player/holding player
  10. I think you are probably right about Cech, but i don't see the point in resting a keeper unless you are wanting to give games to a keeper who you want to push the first choice keeper and lets be honest, Turnbull and Hilario are not going to be pushing Cech...
  11. Change is needed in the squad. Our Key players are old and our youngsters are too young to take over that responsibility yet. I would seriously go big time in the summer to sort our squad out.
  12. My reasoning for that is that the attacking midfield position is where i want us most to improve and bring some quality in, Benayoun is OK but we need some quality attacking magic in our team a kind of Iniesta, Van Der Vaart, Modric, Ozil type player, the type of player that Josh will be in a few years basically.
  13. Yes he has, and a few games for Chelsea could encourage a Premiership club to come in for him on loan which would be the best next step for both Van Aanholt and Bertrand.
  14. Given the abject performances of a lot of our team we should seriously shake things up for this game and allow some of our fringe/young players the chance to show what they can do. My team would be: .................................................................Cech.......................................................... Ivanovic.......................Bruma...................................Terry..................Van Aanholt ..............................................................Ramires....................................................... .............................Lampard........................................McEachran........................... ...Kakuta..............................................Sturridge........................................Tore...... For me this would be the team i would field. It plays our form players Cech, Ivanovic, Terry, Ramires and Lampard who needs the games given us a strong feel to the team. Bruma to partner JT, no problem at all for this game. Van Aanholt has been excellent when played this season and massively unfortunate to have not got more games. Josh playing behind the forward to influence the game in the attacking areas. And the forward line with Sturridge in his best position, Kakuta out wide and i would honestly give Gokhan Tore a game because his form for the reserves has been good, he has got some goals and all of our forward line have been piss poor and someone else deserves to be given the chance to show what they can do in this game. Bench: Turnbull, B.Clifford, Essien, Malouda, Kalou, Drogba, Anelka
  15. Van Aanholt is a fantastic left back and has shown already he is ready for our first team. I would have no problem having him as our back up left back to Ashley. However Bertrand is equally top quality and i have always like him (as i have Van Aanholt) Ashley Cole is obviously getting older and i would love to see the club work it to make sure that these 2 young players are our future left backs. At the moment i would say give Bertrand some first team chances and let Van Aanholt have another loan move.
  16. 1 Petr Cech IN 2 Branislav Ivanovic IN 3 Ashley Cole IN 5 Michael Essien IN 7 Ramires IN 8 Frank Lampard IN 10 Yossi Benayoun OUT 11 Didier Drogba IN 12 Mikel IN 15 Florent Malouda IN 17 Jose Bosingwa OUT 18 Yury Zhirkov OUT 19 Paulo Ferreira OUT 21 Salomon Kalou OUT 22 Ross Turnbull OUT 23 Daniel Sturridge IN 26 John Terry IN 33 Alex IN 38 Patrick van Aanholt IN 39 Nicolas Anelka OUT 40 Henrique Hilario OUT 43 Jeffrey Bruma IN 44 Gael Kakuta IN 45 Fabio Borini IN 46 Josh McEachran IN 17 in 8 out. Big squad changes are needed this summer....
  17. Yes Ryan said to CTV last night that he will be looking to get some games for Chelsea. I can only assume that Van Aanholt will go on loan because to have Ashley, PVA and Bertrand on board would do no good to either Ryan or Patrick. It would be brilliant to see Bertrand get some games because he is a quality left back with tons of league experience and we saw in Pre season that he can cut it in our first team. Fingers crossed he gets his chance.
  18. Fantastic result for them and it looked a great performance. Certainly shouted to Carlo that a lot of these should be playing on Sunday. Would be criminal if Sturridge isn't started down the middle on Sunday. Kakuta should also play and Gokhan Tore would also be worth a go, he is having a good season and physically he could cope with it. Dissapointed again to see Josh dropped back to the holding role, such a f***ing waste, hope he doesn't play there on Sunday i want him controlling attacking play. Still brilliant result for the lads.
  19. I cannot see how sacking Carlo will solve anything, although it is very likely to happen. The club need to leave the football people to deal with the football side of things and stop getting involved with what they clearly do not understand. Secondly we need big investment in the squad to take us on to a new chapter. Although the one thing i do question Carlo about is persisting with such out of form players as Malouda, Drogba, Anelka and Kalou. Honestly could it could not bring about any worse performances if we played Sturridge or/and Kakuta. Hell we couldn't play any worse if we played Lalkovic and Tore.....
  20. If our transfer targets are the likes of Samba, Cahill and Bothroyd then we can be looking at a very different Chelsea in the future to the one we have witnessed in recent times.
  21. Ramires has been great in the last few games and it is good to see. He along with Frank has added some much needed drive in the midfield. If only we could get Essien up to form then we would be sorted in the midfield and could concentrate on getting the forwards into shape.... Ramires is showing at last what he is all about and i am looking forward to seeing more progress from him.
  22. You could say the same for Malouda, Kalou or Drogba to be fair. Even though Malouda was better today. The forward line just is not working at all. A bit harsh to just pick on Anelka as we are just poor in the final third.
  23. Given our shortage of midfield options this season i was very surprised to see Jack go out on loan again and showed the club have no intention of keeping him around. It seems like that group of players has just been written off even though they are all good players with a lot of experience now (Cork, Bertrand and Mancienne). Cork is a great passer of the ball and comfortable in possession he isn't as forward thinking as a players like Lamps but he would offer us a lot i think and it really isn't a good sign for youth development at Chelsea that players like Jack are not getting a chance.
  24. Connor will almost definitely go back on loan, i am sure the club are looking for the best possible loan for him, Championship or league 1 will be where he will end up.
