  1. At the moment we are playing no style of football. We cannot counter attack because we play so slowly. We cannot play wide because no one wants to beat a man and get a cross in. Our passing is poor. And even the direct style we are not getting results with..... At the moment we play slow build up passing infront of their 18 yard box trying to find impossible passes through numerous defenders or trying long range shots. Basically we need to get our act together and sort out a way of playing football that we can play as a team, we are so disjointed and unorganised at the moment.
  2. For me Malouda is a player who needs to move in the summer, getting older and offering us very little. He lows the play down far too often. Him along with Anelka and Ferreira would be top of my list.
  3. This club needs to have some stability and binning Carlo is not going to help in that. However you do have to ask the question, given the summer and another chance to bring in and ship out players can Carlo turn it around and get us playing again. If the answer is no to that then we might as well let him go. It is a difficult situation, the way we are playing this season is really poor, we struggle to put passes together, we never press the opposition and give them lots of space and we cannot create and convert enough chances.
  4. One of my favorite ever Chelsea players and exactly the sort of player we need, but why go back now? We should be looking for the NEXT Robben.
  5. I doubt that any personal advertising contract would have any bearing over the club that a player will move to... none at all.
  6. This deal again looks very realistic and one i would love to see go through. A bidding war will now be generated by his club, but i am sure he will be moving to Europe this summer and i hope Chelsea is his destination. Roumers from a good source on Twitter last night claiming that a deal had been agreed in Principal by Chelsea in the region of £30m... Lets wait and see.....
  7. Excellent deal for us and something of a Landmark, signing a young talented brazilian straight from Brazil. What have signed though is potential, that is all you sign when you sign a young player or you are trying to bring through a youngster, there is no gurantees. It is down to the club, manager and coaches to realise that potential. Unfortunately at the moment we have not good a good record on that score but that could very easily change in the near future.
  8. We need to sign a new playmaker for sure!! Chances are that next season Josh will be out on loan, hopefully to a premiership side. No matter how good Josh is we don't want to rush him and to spend a season away from Chelsea getting regular games and match experience is a big deal for his development. And bringing in a new playmaker will not hinder his development. So yes a new playmaker is a must and allow Josh to develop in a considered way.
  9. This will certainly be an interesting tie, we certainly have it in us to go through, especially if we can get some form and get our strikers scoring because this United team is not that strong.
  10. Massively dissapointed with the whole Borini situation. It will be so gutting to see him leave the club in the summer which seems inevitable. We are still not being able to show that we are capable of bringing young players through to the first team. Borini is a born goalscorer - simple as that and will be a top player.
  11. I just find it hard to see us playing anything other than a 4-3-3 going forward. There are some very hard choices to make this summer thats for sure because there is work to be done.
  12. True enough, an attacking midfielder should also be purchased. But lets not rule out the further emergence of Josh. Judging by what is said in the press and our interest last summer i would imagine that Neymar would be a main candidate as player for the wing position.
  13. A player we signed some time ago but could not join us until he turned 18.
  14. If he passes a trial here and we give him a chance then expect good things from him because our own youth players are of the highest level and if he can cut it with them then that is an exciting prospect. Lets wait and see.
  15. Our front line is definately our weakest at the moment and i am sure that there will be some changes made there in the summer. Big choices would have to be made because all of them are big names Malouda, Anelka, Drogba and Kalou. I have no doubt that all them will be with us come the start of the season but i have no clue as to who would go and who would come in. Neymar looks a likely option, Lukaku is another and so is Aguero. The fact is that yes our front line needs looking at in the summer. For me 4-3-3 is how we play and 4-3-3 is what we should have in mind when it comes to summer in's and out's and for me that means 2 new players who can play as PROPER wingers.
  16. All we can do is take each game as it comes, we are lucky that we have a strong squad again now with good options on the bench. We are massively dependant on other teams results but of course it could happen. 3rd has to be a minimum for us now and hope for something better but it will be a big big ask.
  17. I saw that there was one ex Barca youth product having a trial with us, not clear if he will stay on with us or not though From what i can gather now that he has turned 18 he will joining us in the summer. Will be interesting to see what he is all about.
  18. Actually Abramovich is as geared up to using the young players as much as anyone, the reason we didn't spend in the summer and included more youngsters would have down to him more than anything. It's all about timing though, including youngsters into a squad that is quite old clearly was a mistake. Our academy is one of the best in the country now, we are producing fantastic young players all the time now, most will leave Chelsea but we need the best environments to nurture the best ones into our first team and loans at the moment are the best way unfortunately they can be very hit and miss even for the best players.
  19. Easy choice. Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry, Cole. At the moment the clear and obvious choice. Unless something drastic happens to any of their form then that is how it should stay once Alex is back also..
  20. At the moment Torres does need to be starting every game and not just because we paid £50m for him, if we start benching him now his confidence could be shot. We need to get him playing at his best. I would go for the same team as against Man U but with Drogs rather than Anelka and Zhirkov instead of Malouda.....
  21. Luiz and Ramires have been inspired signings. Ramires has grown into a really brilliant player and Luiz has come in and been class from day 1! It is hard to guage how things will look going forward because it depends on what investment Roman decides to make and how our youngsters develop. Just a note on the youngsters, it seems that when bringing youngsters through fans (and the club seem to have a similar view at the moment) seem to think it is either regular starter or not at all. We can be using our young players as squad players, much like Man U. PVA or Bertrand may not go on to be a player who would play ever game for a top top team, but would be an excellent back up option. For the next 3/4 years at least we have a good spine of Cech, Luiz, Essien, Ramires, Torres that the team will be built around.
  22. True enough if he was playing in the Championship, but he is playing against the same teams he would be playing against for us. Its more like taking on the big fight but in Bolton Town Hall The Fabio Borini one is another situation that makes me wonder at our policy with young players, absolute dynamite goalscorer but will be let go in the summer....
  23. If you don't give them the minutes on the pitch how can you ever tell? Sturridge was a decent goalscorer for us when given the starts, but for the most part he was used as a sub and given 15 minutes to make an impact. One of our biggest problems is continuing to play players clearly out of form, Sturridge should have been given more time when Drogba, Anelka and Malouda was playing so poorly.
  24. The fact is that all but the absolute best of our youth products will make it at Chelsea. But when a player has shown excellent promise at youth and reserve level, gone on loan to several clubs and ALWAYS done very well. Played in the premiership and looked comfortable. To let that player go without even giving them a chance in our first team is shocking. Especially when our World Class highly paid midfielders are showing all the movement and desire of overweight gorillas.
  25. 95% of our youth team players will NOT make it in our first team, actually probably a higher percentage than that! Having said that - Scott Sinclair was given poor loans, he had raw pace and fnishing ability and the only place he was allowed to show that was at Plymouth. The places where our players go on loan need to be considered more carefully. With better loans Scott could have been a very useful player for us. Jack Cork is a really sad situation, always done very very well at his loans, showed he can play in the premiership yet will be shipped out without even being given a chance by Chelsea. Very poor. Miroslav Stoch clearly wanted more playing time and felt the club could not offer that to him. However given his ability and our obvious need for that type of player i would liked to have seen a lot more done to keep hold of him.
