  1. Why can't Aguero play as part of a front 3? Of course he can. Look at Villa at Barca, always a CF but plays out wide for them now with Messi down the middle.
  2. This https://twitter.com/#!/Jmceachran46 is 100% Josh McEachran's twitter. Josh is not going anywhere. He has been with us since 8, said at the player of the year awards he wants to always be at Chelsea and has no reason to leave.
  3. Would love to see us finally sign Aguero. Imagine a front 3 of Torres, Neymar and Aguero........ Aguero is a quality player who would certainly bring some pace and creativity to our attacking play, something we are seriously lacking.
  4. Seen a bit of talk today that Guardiola is a very real possibility. Would certainly be suprising if we managed to pull that one off. Could see the logic behind trying to get him considering Barca's brand of football and where Roman would like to see us going...
  5. Am i the only one who has no preference as to who our new manager is? None of the names being mentioned generate any excitment and it would be a case of hoping they do a good job and waiting to see. The person who would generate excitment is Mourinho and there is no way that is going to happen.
  6. Lalkovic has really impressed me this season, he has grown so much in his development. At the moment i would play Lalkovic ahead of Tore. Lalkovic seems to prefer playing the striker role in a 4-3-3 but for me his future lies on the wing, his pace and skill just makes him the perfect fit, plus he can put in some damn dangerous balls into the box. Given the first teams slow and laborous play this season i would have played Lalkovic the last 2 games on the wing.
  7. Tore has a lot of talent. His speed, skill and stenghth make him unique in some ways. He has had a very good season for the reserves this time around. However for me he can improve a lot lot more and i would have hoped to see him be more dominant in games. Part of the problem i feel with him is his arrogance and temperament which lets him down at times. Can certainly become a good player but nowhere near ready for the first team yet. A good season on loan would be ideal for him to play regular first team football and develop himself.
  8. If we were to make just 1 signing this summer (which we won't) then Neymar would be the one i would go for.
  9. In truth Lukaku would be something of a luxury signing. Not a player we NEED for our squad next season. Other positions are more important, 2 wingers, creative midfielder and right back. Would not mind us signing Lukaku but it isn't a signing that we MUST make,.
  10. We may not always agree with what he decides to do but what we must not forget is that Roman does what he feels is best for the club, he wants us to succeed as much as we do and reach our potential.
  11. I honestly don't think i have a preference for manager. All i want to see is someone come in, be given the backing needed to rebuild this squad and get us playing good football again. It is so simplistic to look at managers who have won the CL or been successful in other countries. We should be looking deeper and getting the manager with the right qualities or us rather than just going for someone who has won something before. I just want the appointment made asap to get ourselves set properly for the new season
  12. Not that i am saying that Josh doesn't need to improve still and develop but why does a young player coming through have to be perfect? Because the players currently playing in our first team most certainly are not, Josh gave the ball away no more than any other player, and played more forward dangerous balls than any other player, even from his deep position. Its time we lower our expectations a little. Young players WILL make mistakes and we cannot expect them to play to the same standard immediately of the rest of the first team. Josh always shows he is more than capable, a loan will only be needed for him if Carlo is not willing to give him more minutes on the pitch which he should have been give more time i feel given the form of the team.
  13. Once again this group showed fantastic belief and passion and they fully deserved their win. Some sticky patches in the first half but other than the goal Blackburn never really threatened our goal. So pleased for the boys and glad they have again managed to end on a high. It is a real end too for Bobby Devyne and Michael Woods from this team who will be leaving in the summer. You will see our youth and reserves competing every season now for these competitions because we are continuing to bring through some very good talent.
  14. In my eyes Josh has proved himself every time he has played in the first team. He was very good again today playing deep, he will learn well there but his natural position is number 10. His passing and ability on the ball is quality. We most certainly should not over expose him and expect him to play every game, but we have had some poor performances in midfield this season and he has done no worse than any other midfielder in our squad. A loan move would be good for him of course but we could also use him ourselves. There is no way anyone could be critical of Josh's performance yesterday
  15. Another that looks like it will happen this summer. The question with Lukaku is will we bring him straight into the team or let him gain more expereince on loan first?
  16. It would seem that this transfer is definately on the cards for this summer. I for one would be well pleased. There is obviosuly a question over him building on his potential and his temperament but he has unbelieveable ability. Ronaldo had the same issues and i am sure Man Utd were not upset they signed him. This lad is exaclty what we are lacking and if it goes through as it looks like it will then great.
  17. Have really struggled to find the time to post on here and write articles due to work and family. However i am planning on beefing up my Youth & Reserves contribution across the board next season. And i would certainly be looking to on a regular basis put some articles together for the site.
  18. We should most definately be considering keeping Jack Cork around. As has been mentioned using him as a squad player would be easy to accomodate him and if he progressed further then even better for us. Jack has impressed everywhere he has been much like Ryan Bertrand and has taken each step up in his stride. Unfortunately i can't see it happening and i am not sure why. If young players (and i am including players up to 23) are not content to be squad players and push for regular places then we may as well shut down our academy now, at the same time if we are not willing to give our young players the chance to be squad players, then again what are we doing. Jack Cork has shown he can cut it in the Premier League, we don't need him to come in now and force anyone out the starting 11, we need a player who can be counted on when needed and hopefully continue to grow into a better player. If we do not even give him a chance in our first team then that is a real shame because how could we ever possibly know, it's not like he has not impressed on loan spells. Michael Mancinne on the other hand though for me i don't think is of a standard for our team, squad player or otherwise and i think moving on now would be best for him. Scott Sinclair was poorly managed and had some loan spells where he was not utilised. I am not at all suprised he is doing as well as he is because he is a quality player and he will play in the Premier League for someone soon.
  19. Some changes should be made. Number 1 should be ryan Bertrand starting the last 2 games. Josh should get at least 30 mins in the last 2 games also. There is little point in carrying on playing the same players for the last 2 games with nothing to play for,.
  20. Yes i will be making extended highlights of the game that will be uploaded to my Youtube page on Friday... Usually he plays Attacking midfield, but last night and on a couple of other occasions he has played holding midfielder under Carlo's instruction.
  21. A big achievment for the club. We are usually no-where near the top of the reserves league. But we are producing some excellent young players and it is showing. The Final of the North v South is likely to be against United so another showdown with Man U is on the horizon. Last night was pure domination, Wolves didn't get anywhere near a sniff. Some top performances. Gokhan Tore was brilliant showed all he has learned this season. Tomas Kalas has for me been top class since his arrival in January and looks an exciting prospect. Josh was sublime in the holding role with some excellent throughballs to the forward even from that deep. Top stuff.
  22. I can't see how we could lose by appointing Zola as assistant manager for Carlo, his input on the training pitch would be invaluable and he would gain the respect of the players at the club also. I really hope this done happen...
  23. A lot will depend on the formation that Carlo has in mind for next season. If we are not planning to play 4-3-3 then wingers are not so important, at the moment i wouldn't like to guess what our targets are but it would seem that Neymar is certainly a target for us. We do need to rebuild again this summer and really rebuild giving Carlo the summer to work with a improved squad for a attack on all fronts next season.
  24. Having Zola as an assistant manager would be perfect. For me we have to at all levels of the club have Chelsea blood running through it, when players retire we need to encourage them to go into coaching our youngsters and work their way up the levels and potentially manage the first team one day. Working alongside Carlo would be great for Zola and if he develos with the learning then there is no reason why he cannot be the top boss in the future.
