  1. Living in a dream world if he thinks he can sign Messi, Kaka and Ribery......let alone for £100m The team does need a overhaul, but we would do better to sign the next big things rather than go for the already established ones....
  2. There is so much bulls**t flying around at the moment that it is making things even harder to know what to think. Some sources claiming Grant is definately out with them claiming either Rijkaard, Hiddink or Laudrup to replace him. Other sources claiming Roman is happy with Grant and Grant is confident of keeping his job with £100m to spend in the summer!!!! Just want whatever is going to happen, happen!
  3. Well for me the football and the team comes over anything else like the ammount of plastic fans at the bridge. I would much rather be where we are now than be in Leeds position. Our club could turn right around in the summer with the appointment of a top manager and everything would be hunky dory again.... Leeds will be lucky to ever see their name in the Premiership table again.
  4. It is an excellant point! There is no transition to being a juvenile going with family to being a young person going with friends! Other than kids with extremely wealthy familys how many 16 to 21 year olds are likely to be able to afford to go to games regulary? This is the exact age group that should be a target for the club, the future support
  5. Now that is going a bit over the top don't you think!!! Rather be Leeds?? Sitting here thinking about it the absolute worst case scenario is that Roman DOES give Grant another year and £100m transfer kitty. We can be pretty sure from what we have seen from him that he will never be tactically good enough to be successful with Chelsea so there is no way he will last beyond next season! Although i don't think that would happen, with the utter cock ups he has made this season costing us 3 trophys so far and the compelte lack of tactical knowledge coupled with the anger from Chelsea fans and the ridicule from the media i just can't see Grant being the manager next season!!!
  6. I guess it depends on how many leave, and who leaves. But you are right, a right back, a winger (although i think we need 2) and a striker are needed big time. Also we need a creative playmaker depending on how we intend to line up next season... if 4-3-3 then one is a an absolute must..
  7. Well there is nothing we can do but wait and see, we have to wait and see if Grant is still in charge, we have to wait and see who is going to be leaving and who will come in! For me the summer can't come soon enough so we know where we stand.... If Rijkaard comes in then i think most people will be pretty happy.
  8. The trouble is that at the moment we don't have the players to play the attacking football in the style that Barca have.... but hopefully he can come in and make a few good purchaces and him and Ten Cate can do the business...
  9. Blimey, going to be a pretty busy pre season again by the looks of it! Should be a couple of good games in Russia though...
  10. Lol exactly.... I can see a big turnaround of players this summer, but i hope Avram isn't in charge of it and i am sure that the end spend will be no-where near £100m
  11. Which could be another explanation as to why they put Grant in charge for this season, so that whoever came in was welcomed with open arms!!!!!! I hope to god that Roman and the rest are that clever.......
  12. I never thought i would see the day when i was hoping that Rijkaard would come and be our manager!!!!
  13. Yup very strange indeed to see Mikel, Ballack and Kalou on peoples list to go! One thing looking at our squad which needs to be addressed is that the general age is creeping up too high, we could do with some younger blood who are going to have a long term impact with us...
  14. I just can't see any possible way that Grant will be kept on for next season! It is just so plainly clear that he can not do the job!! It would not suprise me at all if someone had been lined up all along and Grant was always a stand in...... it is the only thing that possibly makes sense to me.
  15. We won't though, Grant still believes that we can win the league.... I would give Di Santo a run out for this game, scored a hat-trick for the reserves last night (OK 2 were pens) and has looked quality since he came. Put him in now for the run in and see how he copes for next season.
  16. To be honest i would rest key players for this game now. We have to put all our efforts now into the CL games with Liverpool.
  17. Well thats it for us an our title challenge! We should have the game done and dusted earlier but it didn't happen..
  18. A new contract does not always mean they will stay. I would be stunned if we stick with Ferreira and Belletti for next season........ Drogba is a strange one, i agree we don't need disruptive influences at the club and if he is going to cause problems then it may be better to cash in now. Although should he stay we can be happy to have held onto him. It is going to be a very interesting summer one way or another..
  19. Out: Ben Haim: Has never looked comfortable and would rather have a young promising player as 4th choice behind JT, Riccy and Alex. Sidwell: Again has just never looked like settling in and being good enough at the level of the players around him. He is a good player but for his good and ours should move on. Pizarro: Same as the 2 above, not doing anyone any good for him to stay with us any longer. Di Santo to take his squad place next season. Malouda: Doesn't seem to be able to cope with the premiership and in my opinion not the sort of winger we are looking for. We need someone who can penetrate defences by running at them and causing problems. Wright-Phillips: Had long enough now in my opinion and just not going to improve anymore and his standard just isn't good enough. Time for an upgrade. Shevchenko: 2 reasons, firstly he just hasn't been able to make it work for us, and secondly would like to see some young blood in our strike force and with Drogba and Anelka not getting any younger it is time to look to the future. Belletti/Ferreira: Purely because we once and for all need to sort this position out!!
  20. Without doubt there is only Joe and Riccy who even come close to winning this. Personally i would go for Joe, purely because i think it is Joes best season for us and i think Riccy has had better seasons previously but has had some top performers ahead of him.....
  21. Well we got the win! But it wasn't the best performance! I was seriosuly cacking myself until we scored the second.... What the hell was that substitution all about??? Belletti on for Kalou? I thought Kalou had an excellant game, and then we had no idea what the formation was..... possibly the worst sub he has made yet if you ask me, playing for 20 mins+ without any shape whatsoever..
  22. How on earth can this happen 3 times in 4 years!!!!! At least this time the second leg is at the bridge which will be nice. I seriously hope we do them this time...
  23. Roumers are comming out now that Grant is going to start with Essien at right back again and Malouda on the left wing! Just goes to show how he doesn't learn a thing......even if we do win tonight it is the wrong players to play there. The massively ineffectual Malouda to play in one of the biggest games of our season where we HAVE to win?
  24. Lol, and it's all starting to fall into place.... Keeping my fingers crossed here!!!!
