  1. Sinclair is an excellant prospect and fantastic at what he does. He has all the ingredients to be a top class winger! He has pace, skill and his finishing is top class. However, i do believe that Stoch and Kakuta ARE more promising, purely because they have more ability on the ball, Sinclair for me is a pure winger whereas Stoch and Kakuta can be central playmakers as well as wingers and always do damage. All 3 have masses of Ability but i do believe that with the right development Stoch and Kakuta can be World Class..... Sinclair will have games where he is not involved much, Stoch and Kakuta are always the main players in the games they play in...
  2. There is certainly some negative creeping football comming in and it is certainly down to more than the wrong players out there, even though i think it is a huge part of it. Tactically we are not at the races, we are not up for games and closing teams down and getting at them fast.................
  3. Playing a more attack minded player like SWP in the attacking central position does work better and he performs better there than he does on the wing, but there is scope there for improvement, only Joe Cole is the other player who i think can operate there but he is never given the chance.... Well i am not expecting Kakuta to make any first team appearances for a long while, he is still only 16!! Stoch though i would play him.....
  4. No not as big as us. But it is the principal of the 4-3-3 formation only working with certain "types" of players, and for me one of the most important is the creative attacking midfielder, which in the youth team example was Kakuta.... SWP, Pizarro, Malouda and Ballack are not creative players really........
  5. Well port vale knocked out some big teams previously.... Absolutely, we totally lack imagination! Who are our creative players? Kalou, Cole..... wo else? It takes 30 passes to get to their box and then when there is no opening it goes back to Cech and we start all over again.
  6. Would be nice to get some more from Malouda but i just can't see it at the moment. It wasn't just the players that were quicker, it was the way they played. From defence to attack in 3 passes and we have them on the break!!!
  7. Lol, yeah would be fun! All i gotta do now is convince the missus
  8. It is definately something we miss, so is the problem of the Attacking Midfield playmaker. Malouda is a good player, and can contribute greatly to us. But he isn't the sort of winger we need who is going to take on his man, Malouda is more likely to cross from deep. We can improve my just speeding our game up, at the moment we are far too slow and it makes it easy for the opposition..
  9. Having watched the Youth Team game last night and how their played the 4-3-3 i am even more convinced that what i feel we need to change is needed! By contrast we are struggling to create ANY chances in a game at the moment, the youth team created more chances in the first 10 minutes than the first team have all month!! So whats the difference? The difference is that they had 2 wingers who are prepared to run at defenders and take them on, so many chances were created by the wingers getting past their defenders and pulling the ball back, we don't see this anymore!!! Also they had an actual attacking midfielder who was always high up the pitch knowing that he had 2 midfielders behind him leaving him able to stay forward creating chances and opening the team up and more importantly completely supporting the lone striker!!!! The passing was quick and the breaks were lightning rather than the snail pace build up we are seeing in the first team at the moment.
  10. Hard to say, as you say he is only 16! Next season he will be a reserve regular and then they will evaluate how he is doing again. If he continues in the way he has been he could definately be breaking through by 18. Stoch for me is on the verge, would give him a chance now.
  11. Dates not set yet! But i will definately try and get down there myself...
  12. Yup he is not afraid to crack them from distance thats for sure, he is our top scorer for the Youth Team now and for someone who is not a striker is not bad at all....
  13. I would doubt anything will happen till the end of the season now anyway...... Roman will have to take a good long hard look and decide if he honestly believes Grant is good enough!!! The fans have made their descision.
  14. A bloody exciting one!!! Can play either as a winger or as an attacking central midfielder playing behind the striker. Has looked outstanding in both positions. He has pace and skill, he does so many flicks and tricks and more often than not they actually come off and are not just for show. He also isn't a greedy player and will rack up the assists no problem, he can spot a through ball so well. His finishing is quality as well, he took his goals last night so well and they were not all straight forward. It's hard to make a comparison but i guess similar in style to someone like Kaka or even Zidane - he may not reach that level but the potential is massive...
  15. Judging from what we have heard recently it would be rising stars of the likes of Modric and Benzema ect.. Completely questionable if that is the right thing to do though! I would rather give the money to someone else to spend, i don't think Grant really knows what he needs....
  16. Well if Stoch plays another whole season without going on loan he will qualify for the UEFA homegrown rule, Kakuta needs another 2 seasons.... Stoch and Kakuta are without doubt our 2 most exciting talents at the moment!
  17. Man City won 4 - 1 - can't remember who they were playing now though Villa will be a tough Semi final but we have the quality to run anyone completely ragged and we can certainly make the final, which is likely to be Man City....
  18. Just because i am not happy with the current situation doesn't mean i have to automatically start believing all the garbage written in the papers as gospel! Ten Cate commenting today saying pretty much what i said, a bit of a disagreement but not as bad as made out! And my garden is very nice actually thanks
  19. It is difficult because we have no idea how the most important man in this feels. Roman is the one who has to make this choice in the end. Does he believe that Grant is the right man in the long run? Will winning a cup be enough to decide to keep him on? You can pretty much gurantee that the club know how the fans feel, the sentiment is carried through all the Chelsea forums and even being quoted in the S*and today!
  20. So Roman buys a steel company in Australia so that obviously means he is going to get involved with Football over there??
  21. Trying not to get too excited by Kakuta but it is hard. EVERY game he plays in he is just incredible and the game last night was just perfection. He can work on the wing and be outstanding like he did in the last round or he can play inside as the attacking midfielder and just be different class. Even when he has appeared for the reserves this season he has been great. The skills and movement are just unreal. If we can't bring this boy through to our first team then there is something seriously wrong....
  22. This game was just an awesome display from the young lads. Not only did they teach Por Vale a footballing lesson but they also taught out own first team how the 4-3-3 should be played. The team put out was perfect, Rhys Taylor was a strong influence at the back and controlled things well. The defence was solid and worked hard to defend the long balls which was Port Vales only outlet, Nana and Ben Gordon worked the flanks well to support the wingers but were also strong in defence and the dutch centre back pairing of Van Aanholt and Bruma were solid throughout. The shape of the midfield was perfect, we had Sergio Tejera holding and starting all the plays and setting people off, always looking forward for the ball to spring someone off, Woods did all the leg work running back and forward and Gael Kakuta was our midfield playmaker, sitting high and supporting the 3 forwards and running all the attacking play. The forward line worked so well, we had Stoch and Nouble on the flanks constantly running at their defenders and getting behind them and creating so many chances to score for themselves and others, and Nielson was doing well getting in good positions and holding the ball up in a perfect display of the lone striker role. The scoreline is not a fair reflection of the game, Port Vale certainly did not deserve their goals and the Chelsea boys could have scored plenty more with the ammount of chances they created. Kakuta and Stoch were hot and the Port Vale team couldn't touch them all night, everything they touched turned to gold. Kakuta scored a VERY impressive hat-trick with some neat finishes. Stoch bagged himself one after finally scoring from one of his mazy runs turning his defender inside out and Nielson got himself in the right place to bang home a lose ball. About as close to a perfect performance you can get, attacking football at it's best. First team please take note...... Player Reviews: Rhys Taylor: A very solid performance. Was strong and commanding and dealt with all the crosses that came his way perfectly. Maybe at fault for their second goal but it may also have took a nasty deflection too. A good game for him. 7 Nana Ofori: A very strong performance from him, a tendancy to pass back toTaylor a lot but he run up and down all night and was strong and defended very well. Worked well with Nouble down the right flank. 7 Patrick Van Aanholt: Having watched him so often now play left back for the reserves is was great to see just how good he is in his natural centre back position. Look excellant and incredibly comfortable. An excellant performance. 8 Jeffrey Bruma: Agian working well alongside Van Aanholt, one of the better games i have seen him play (which isn't many to be fair). He is very similar in style to Carvalho, is always trying to read the situation and get there first and is always looking to bring the ball forward. A couple of mistakes here and there but at his age playing that style it is to be expected. 7 Ben Gordon: Seeing how exausted he was at the end of the game just showed how much running Gordon put in. He was very strong in defence and hardly ever got beat by his man. He run the wing well and just put in a very solid display. 7 Sergio Tejera: Another game holding for Sergio and the experience will do him good, he is better in an attacking sense but this is all about learning for him. He was the organiser of the midfield constantly starting the plays and sending Kakuta, Stoch or Nouble on their way with clever passing and always looking forward. 8 Michael Woods: Typical box to box performance from Woods. Got himself stuck in and was always involved. More of the old Woods that we have not seen for a while. Still could do with getting involved more, at this level he should be dominating. 7 Gael Kakuta: I am going to try to not go overboard on this kid, but f**k me the boys is talented. A hat trick to cap of another wonderful display of skill and ability the likes of which you rarely see. No-one could touch him all night, this time playing through the centre and he was involved in virtually every attack. Absolutely sensational. 10 Frank Nouble: One of the youngest players on the pitch but also one of the biggest. His appearance and the way he moves is very similar to Hesky. But don't let that but you off, the boy is talented and ran the wing very well with pace and skill that you wouldn't expect to see from someone of that build. Will be good to see how he develops. 8 Miroslav Stoch: What can be said about Stoch that hasn't been said a thousand times before this season. Stoch is top draw. He loves to run at the defenders and commit them and he always ends up turning them inside out. Another superb performance, he would have done better if he had seen more of the ball, didn't put a foot wrong. 9 Morten Nielson: His best performance i have seen from him since the tournament early in the season in asia. The perfect lone striker role. Held the ball up well and was not afraid to run with the ball either. Took his goal very very well too, would like to see him perform like this more often. 8
  23. Yes, and some of the stories then were quite ridiculous too! Just because in the end Jose DID leave doesn't mean those stories were true.... I always view stories printed in the papers which whole basis of fact is "a club source" or "a club insider" with massive distrust! It was more likely that there was a it of a disagreemnt which was nothing and the papers blow it up to WW3....
  24. Lol There isn't MUCH optimism in there..... only the vaguest hint!!
  25. I find it hard to believe the story written as it is. There may have been some sort of disagreement but certainly not a "Bust Up" as the papers are writing it. The dead giveaway is that every paper has a different "inside source" and each of them has a different version of the story....
