  1. thank you for everything. but now its time you go away!!!
  2. 2 months late!!!! but none the less, we are there!!!
  3. no FABREGAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  4. fair enough. my point was simply that cesc as an individual simply destroys the balance of any and every team he plays in. be it arsenal, be it barca (4-3-3 to 3-4-4), or be it chelsea. and any team that cant find the balance will find it difficult to win trophies. your examples are valid. but lets take some one like ballack. we were right up top with him. we were winning trophies and cups. in CL final. and we even played some of our best football with him in the team (09-10). cesc's whole career has been such that where ever he has gone, he has absolutely destroyed a team's balance.
  5. i can only hope that this PC wont be the highlight of chelsea fans' weekend
  6. if games could be won in pressers... we would undoubtedly be the best in the world. fortunately games are played as well as won on the field.
  7. i think cesc is a massively over-rated player. he is an okay player with some massive deficiencies. he is a player who needs others to be good around him rather than him being the standout player. he is also a liability to any team defensively. on the ball, he is average. sure, he can see a pass if he gets 5 seconds on the ball, but his overall limitations are astonishing. he is a player who wants the team to play around him, but he is a player who simply CAN NOT pick up a whole team on his shoulders. look at arsenal, with cesc as their main midfield man, they struggled to win anything for years, without cesc, they have looked much more formidable and have actually won 2 FA cups on the spot. look at barca. 3 years with cesc - 0 CLs. infact they did not reach the CL semis in a long time. without him - 14/15 : CL champions, 10/11 : CL champions, 08/09: CL champions. so 3 CLs in 4 years, surprising? not for me. these excuses like burned out etc etc are exactly that, excuses. people said the same with oscar, now suddenly with cesc. sorry, the truth is he was poor with barca, except for his brilliant start here from august to december, he has been poor here for a year now.
  8. there is no place for fabregas. matic, X, ramires, RLC. those should be our mid options. not "i cant give a damn about the club" fabregas.
  9. i have a pretty good hunch of the team jose will put in. bego iva GC JT azpi matic cesc willian oscar hazard costa irrespective of form and circumstances, all we need to do is write these 11 names time after time after time. maybe except for one here or there, you will get your line up prediction right most of the time.
  10. i am kind of awed by the board. but honestly, do you think jose is the man to take us forward? if we dont get CL or even european spt (both of which seem very likely), do u think jose is the person who can take the team forward while integrating youth. look at what he has done with RLC. for 2 weeks (international break), all he said was RLC is ready, he is ready and he is ready. villa, kiev, whu and even stoke in league cup and RLC has played a total of 45 minutes while how many minutes has someone like cesc got. even the slightest bit of a problem and all he can do is go back to his "untouchables" even if they are a totally out of form cesc and hazard or an inconsistent matic. our attacking play is so poor that we actually have not scored a goal from an attacking move in 6 matches. there is no youth integration and i doubt there ever will be with jose. we would rather buy papy than give kalas/omeruo a chance. we would rather play the worst player in PL, at that moment, than try something with baba. i mean, i just cant see a positive right now considering what our situation is going to be next season and the foreseeable future with jose at the fore.
  11. fair enough. those were the names which should be our plan A. for eg - if gaya goes to RM, coentrao would be avaiable. i feel laporte is a definite option cos barca and RM both have good young defenders and ATM has jimenez. kondogbia is a definite option if we throw money over it. despite no CL, united were able to attract ADM. the name and stature of the club is important and most of us are sure that we will be back next season. kondogbia is also non-negotiable for me. he is a BEAST. absolute BEAST. we should get him no matter what. he should be our plan a to z
  12. oscar is good enough. even i know that and i dont rate him that highly. the point was does he "care enough". mikel and rambo are technically limited but they give their 100% on the pitch. their faults wont be because of their efforts. i honestly cant remember the last time oscar put in a shift/performance and i was happy with his effort. sorry, but this team has way way too many starters like that. time to give players who actually care a chance.
  13. if you had told people that city would have a summer of otamendi, sterling, kdb then most on here would have said IMPOSSIBLE. after being hopelessly poor, next summer will be the time to maje a statement of intent - for the club, the board, the manager and almost everyone related to the club. blackman as our 3rd GK is simply cos of HG reasons. no CL/EL, means no midweek matches (most of the time). a short squad (just like jose likes) can do the work along with youth integration. fair enough on bamford, but i would like him to be given a shot. AMs are young, but talented. if jose cant use talents like musonda, kenedy, traore, there are plenty of managers who might. also, gaya and laporte have buy out clauses if i am not wrong. perfect time to get them. kondogbia is a beast. i would pay 40mil for him rather than 100mil for pogba.
  14. come on guys, lets not be stupid and/or naive. there is NO FUCKING WAY IN HELL, that baba is going to get a good run of matches. he will be lucky if he makes the bench for the pool game.
  15. dont know about the january. i have pretty much give up on this season. for the next season i would like to see this squad (pretty sure we are not going to make european competitions) Gks - courtouis, begovic, blackman Defs - GC, zouma, stones/laporte , azpi , baba, gaya, JT, aina CMs - matic, mvg, RLC, kondogbia, baker. AMs - hazard, willian, pedro, kenedy, traore, musonda STs - costa, lacazette, bamford. massive overhaul. outs - iva, cesc, oscar, falcao, remy ins - lacazzete, gaya, kondogbia a very young squad. but atleast a start of an era instead of having players who are never going to improve us.
  16. cesc vs a good pressing team!! gonna be fun
  17. If we dont get european football next year, can he do the simple things. can he do the required youth integration? can he make RLC, baba, zouma, kenedy a permament or an important feature of our team/squad. the likes of oscar, cesc need to be thrown out. mikel, rambo are okay options but we need a strong bench. a bench which can actually be used to be rotated. JT and iva most probably wont get an extension. so our mid and defence both needs an overhaul. our attack has been poor and non-existent. infact we have looked out of ideas. can he gives us an identity. these are the questions we must be thinking about. and right now, i just dont know if he can do what would be required off him.
  18. average player. average performance. but i would take this performance over cesc's nothingness.
  19. it was not "attacking play". by attacking move i mean a proper move which led to a goal rather than guzan giving us the ball. so yeah, basically, what you said. just so disappointing.
  20. 2 words to describe it all - MURPHY's LAW. stoke GK having the time of his life. we being unlucky, walters scoring a screamer etc etc. i mean anything that can go wrong has already gone wrong. i sincerely think, it cant get any worse. i think the pool game will be the game where we turn the tide. i mean how much longer can these players continue to under-perform? at some point players will look in the mirror and ask themselves if they are actually so poor. the performance was not bad but not great. 6th game in the row where we could not score a goal from an attacking play. mikel, baba, kenedy were really good. mikel was MOTM for me. hazard started well but tapered out. maybe he is physically still unfit. oscar was non-existent. costa looked good in his time. remy was poor. ramires was his usual self, good in defence, pathetic with the ball. willian had another good game. lets just move forward. to the pool game. give kenedy a start. give baba a proper run. kick both oscar and cesc out and play RLC. these are acceptable risks. come on CHELSEA!!!
  21. decent. hope he is ready to be loaned out in the winter.
  22. remy kenedy RLC willian ramires mikel baba JT zouma azpi bego just tell the kids like kenedy and RLC to go out and enjoy the game cos the players they have replaced, clearly are not.
  23. i am doing a 180 here. let him stay here for this season. why should someone else clean his mess. why should we pay him for being shit. we obviously would have a clause in the contract saying no top4 = no severance pay or something. if we dont get top 4, it goes on his CV. if we dont get european place, it goes on his CV. if we go trophyless, it goes on his CV. we will survive. by the end of the year, he will be gone - of that i have no doubt - then would be the time to really assess things. players like oscars and cescs - are they really worth it? meh, cant wait for this season to end. already made peace with our fate for next season (no european competition), hopefully its a one-off like united rather than a continued spiral downwards like pool. ps - now its been 6 games without a goal from attacking play.
