congratulations to ATM!!! deserved it!!
-
hazard, oscar, willian, schurrle, salah, matic, azpi, courtouis and lukaku himself - over their peak??? LOL
-
do u expect any less for the GERMAN messi.
-
and in the past 2 years? essien was a beast in 2007-09. was loaned out to RM as a LB in 2012. 2 years are enough of a time to change a player and for this guy, it has. he is a shadow of a player who played that long, perfect ball to rvp against everton (i think).
-
how? has no creativity. kind of redundant next to matic.
-
and again u come up with the weirdest of theories. we were after costa cos he was the only AVAILABLE striker. would you have given the same argument if barca were interested in a swap deal with messi or pool were interested in a swap deal with suarez or city were interested in a swap deal with aguero??? mandzukic's availability was a question and hence we dint go after him. and real at the other part. do u even read my posts. MINUTES, i talk about MINUTES. i know what happens in real life unlike you. BA might have made 29 appearance but he got a total of 884 minutes. thats why i dint say appearances but MINUTES. again please read before replying. its not hard to understand at all??? but what u forget is that how improbable this is!!! look at how negredo's first season worked out. brilliant in the first half, hopeless in the second.alomst every player struggles in his first season in PL. hence you need to integrate them into the team just likes jose did with willian/schurrle. and then you end your statement with "IF HE STAYS FIT AND KEEPS SCORING" when i have been SHOUTING that yes, form will be the main criteria for their selection (remember when u said costa would be our first striker just cos we would buy him with the promise of first team football, ). so dude, now u r just saying what i am saying and instead giving me a spin. not cool.
-
precisely... tell it to the guy i have been talking to.
-
In the last 2 pages alone I can read people talking about Costa and mario on a very level terms. Anothwr poster probably quoted u for the same thing. Some how u think that costa is head and shoulders above mario. If we sign both these guys, we ll see how many minutes each of them will get. Will it be costa having 3 times the minutes of mario (as u predict a 45-15 distribution) or a more sane and level headed 55%-45% distribution.
-
u do know who costa is, right??? he is not a 5 foot 5, left footed genius playing as a striker for barca. that guy is messi. btw, nice list of reasons of why u think costa should be undisputed no.1 ahead of mandzukic.
-
again? weird dude. no rumors. nothing. yet a striker should supposedly get his head examined. we have costa and we have mandzukic who has been the MAIN striker in BAYERN MUNICH, THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD, for 2 years. how will costa be our undisputed no.1. its like going round in circles and then banging your head on the wall. can u give me a list of reasons as to why costa would start 45 matches out of the 60 matches we play next season? jose promised kalas 10 starts at the start of the season, jose promised that luiz and mata were not for sale. jose said that we will have a "quiet" winter transfer window. jose said whu played 19th century football and yet himsel parked the bus. again, this is not FIFA. real life. i am sure jose wont get a message from costa saying "i was promised a larger role than is being given to me". for the last time, these are 2 players with 2 very different strengths and attributes. mandzukic has already thrived in the striker role at a team which has played a system of football very similar to ours. his link up play is brilliant, headers are brilliant costa is a striker which gives us hold up play. continously bringing his team-mated into the game. runs the channels, and is a brilliant dribbler. but u r right in one thing, costa-mandzukic not comparable to torres-etoo. we will probably have 2 WC strikers compared to a past his prime WC striker and an no-good idiot!!!
-
what bothers me is that their is no concrete interest from us for this guy!!!
-
. please rakitic swap. 15mil +marin. please.
-
i asked which clubs he could go to and u gave a list of clubs, 99% of which, he has no chance to go. for a player wanting to leave, he does not always have to blow a trumpet thru media 1st thing first, mandzukic and costa in the same squad would mean both the strikers fighting for the 1st squad position. please undersatand that this is real life and not fifa. look at torres and etoo. look at how they were played to their strengths. we did not have a 1st striker then and with these 2 it would be the same. also, city have played many times with just one striker when aguero is out. only after aguero continously got injured and negredo hopelessly lost form did dzeko get a real run in. mandzukic with the heyneckes bayern played in a way that would be closest to describing the way jose would want us to play. he definitely has more experience, a better CV. and the fact that we are discussing who would fit our system best should tell u that their wont be no outright first striker (unlike the situation generated by costa-lukaku scenario). hence saying mandzukic would simply come from bayern's bench to ours is wrong!!!
-
u brought the russian clubs and napoli/bvb/atm... none of whom seem to be interested in him. dzeko is their 3rd choice striker, in a 2 striker system while mandzukic will be 2nd striker in a 1 striker system. also, city have a lot of times gone to 4-2-3-1 with silva behind a lone striker. as i said before, mandzukic as a 2nd striker in bayern is VERY DIFFERENT from mandzukic as a 2nd striekr for chelsea. i have given my reasons before. again u bring in clubs that have so far not been linked at all with him but u want to stop talking about russian clubs. they are different in strengths and abilities. costa is a brilliant dribbler, manzukic has a nice link-up play. they will be used accordingly to their strengths. buying both would probably be because united have 2 WC strikers - rooney, rvp, pool have SAS, city have 4 of them. hence jose wants to compete with them in that regards. when i said they is not much of a difference, i meant in their level and class.
-
what? money does matter but so does football!!!!!! you go and play in russia when a club is offering u foolish and insane money like they did to etoo!!! the last time i checked, anzhi is not doing that anymore. players like witsel are shouting to leave and hulk gets rumored every other week. he is not going to warm our bench. we play 60 matches in a season in PL. look at dzeko. he was city's 3rd striker. he ended up finishing as one of the most important player. costa will hit a rocky patch or mario may hit a purple patch. plus in PL about 15 matches would be a 0-0/1-1 till 60th minute, with an important sub coming on. and this situation is WAY BETTER than the one at bayern. in bayern he will be 2nd striker but if pep wants to change the game (which wont happen much with bayern anyways), then it will be one of the few hunderd WC players at his disposal and not mario who was anyways overlooked many times this season in place of a false 9. also we are talking about mario mandzukic. the difference between mandzukic and costa is not much (infact people were still unsure who would be a better buy at the mid-season point). even if u take costa to be the better player, the difference in their class is NOT that much that it would precede form. this "bench warmer" thing is a poor argument.
-
so you think a player would want to play in a russian league (i would like u to name other WC players other than witsel and hulk in the russian league, if they can be said to be WC) rather than coming to chelsea and fighting for titles for the foreseeable future. well i think no player in his right mind would do that. if mandzukic actually chooses russian league, then good riddance that we dint get him.
-
arsenal - never going to win ANYTHING. plus wages not as good as ours. bvb - doubt bayern will sell them. napoli - he will still be no.2 behind a 40mil higuain. russian clubs - so basically you think he would want to semi-retire from football rather than play for chelsea and be in the elite pool. ATM and roma are good options. but we are a better option.
-
like?
-
in short, lukaku's future depends on the WC
-
mandzukic is 27, costa is 25. lukaku is 20. simply cant see lukaku taking a 3rd striker role behind these guys. he has to know that his play time with these 2 in the squad reduces exponentially and too for coming years (not just one or 2.).
-
dafuq did he say??? was it real?
-
NOOOOOOOOO... i would have taken him before costa-deal but definitely not now. would mean the end of lukaku.
-
so what if he asked to go out on loan. he wanted to play football. he thought with 3 strikers already here, his playtime would be very less and that would affect his WC chances. even if you take that as a negative saying he put himself over the team, u have to remember that he is 20 years old. and the WC is a massive massive tournament. look at oscar and his performances. you dont go about selling players for a mistake. even they are human and are bound to do something or say something which would be wrong specially if they are still just kids. selling lukaku would be a mistake, a bigger one than selling off sturridge. lukaku is the best u-21 striker in the world. he is PL proven, and has the potential to be the best, whats more is that he is already better than any strikers we currently have on our pay role. he should stay here as a no.2.
-
not to sound like a party-pooper but in the last 3 posts, i have read that rodriguez is solid in defence brilliant in attack along with set piece delivery has an awesome crossing ability. the guy seems to be perfect.
-
Have not watched rodriguez at all. What's the comparison between moreno and him? Any idea?
