luxury buys can be more disruptive than good in my opinion. look at the willian buy for instance. it took away mata and kdb's playtime and forced them out. buying sanchez/dimaria would mean one of oscar/willian on the bench, salah getting next to no playing time and schurrle getting cup matches here or there. same goes with pogba. renders mvg and rambo useless cos we already have cesc and matic.

??? u mean seel cech??!!! we had a toal of 6 proper defenders for half a season last season (iva-gc-jt-azpi, cole and dl) for 4 positions. and now we want to keep 3 gks in the squad (2 of the World class and top 5 keepers in the world) and all non-HG!!! its like saying we should buy pogba and kroos just in case matic , cesc and rambo get injured.

just can see a trio of cech-thibaut-mark as our GK options. have to say that it seems likely that thibaut is loaned out again. cos makes no sense giving mark an extension and keeping him as 3rd choice.

mikel would be a good squad player but it creates massive questions on rambo's gametime. i personally would prefer bringing in mikel to rambo if we have a 1-0 lead to protect. rambo gives unnecesaary freekicks in dangerous positions plus mikel's reading of the game is better in that situation. mvg is another option. would definitely create a situation like last season where players dont get enough play time and want out.
