  1. Yes, Hulk and Schurrle, as I originally said. And as a side note, the team's needs comes before Sturridge's.
  2. Well technically so would Schurrle as he can play 2+ positions as well. I'd also expect Lukaku to go on loan as well anyway. Nothing wrong with strength in depth, eh?
  3. Gotcha. Yes, we're likely in for a RW and a striker. Hulk & Schurrle seem the most likely at the moment imo.
  4. I'd say we're definitely in for a striker, although I doubt we're considering Pato. A link between Pato and Chelsea occurs every transfer window and every time it comes to nothing.
  5. After the Malaysian investors have finalised their plans and either submit them/retract their bid, due to be announced 28 days after they were chosen as the preferred bidders (which would be 5th July I believe.) Obviously if they (the Malaysians) are to go ahead with their purchase, Chelsea would have to work out a deal with them afterwards and convince them on the merit of building a stadium on the site. I see it as unlikely, but it's not impossible.
  6. As good as he is, he doesn't belong on the right wing.
  7. I know it's already been posted, but please, can we laugh at it once more?
  8. Cheers mate. Interesting. (For anyone who's Arabic isn't quite as good as mine haha, here's a translation: http://translate.goo...5032971903.html ) Hopefully this should push other teams into action. Perhaps Chelsea will be one, although i'm not sure how strong our interest actually is.
  9. Hadn't heard about that. Is there a link about anywhere mate? All i've seen is that he's due to meet with Lille this week to speak about his future.
  10. I'd say you've got that pretty much spot on mate. The only real trouble is getting Levy to sell to us, which, based on everything i've read/been told is very unlikely.
  11. If Spurs have the chance to sell to either us or Madrid, they're going to let him move to Spain, aren't they? Levy is under no obligation to sell this year, in the same way he wasn't last year, we all know he is a shrewd businessman, to put it politely. Personally, I don't actually believe we ever submitted a £40m bid last year anyway. The media said we did, and all Harry ever said was 'apparently' he'd just 'heard' we'd bid £40m. Unless we sell Meireles and Essien, I don't see us being interested in Modric this summer, which is unfortunate because I think he'd do very well at Chelsea. We are well stocked in CM already.
  12. Drogba has always struck me as a man of principle. He's said his move was partly to strengthen relations between China and Africa, he wouldn't just up and leave if Barca came calling, surely.
  13. Who's shocked? Well done to all those who are in the running. Could've made a case for all of them, but I voted for LDN because, frankly, it's been a long time coming.
  14. I didn't say those were the only players though, did I? I merely commented on the players we've been linked to recently and some of the most common suggestions through the last couple of pages. I'm interested though, who do you see as a viable alternative to the players mentioned above? None come to mind. I really believe that failure to secure a long-term replacement for Lampard could cost us. Obviously it'll be one of the more difficult decisions the club has to make, but it should've been done by now imo.
  15. I cant see Schweinsteiger leaving Bayern this summer, or ever if I'm being honest. Spurs won't let Modric go to another PL team. Madrid are very unlikely to let Sahin go so soon after signing him without him ever proving himself in Spain. Cabaye seems settled at Newcastle and would command a huge transfer fee. Moutinho would also command a fee of over £25/30m, which is well overpriced and I doubt Porto would be willing to sell anyway. Personally I foresee another season with Mikel/Lamps as the starters, with Meireles, Ramires, Essien, Romeu and (loan permitting) Josh, rotating in the double pivot role, which I feel is strong enough. Frankly, I don't see anyone who; is available/on the market, or; doesn't come with a huge price tag.
  16. Might as well keep Meireles then, no?
  17. ...How much discussion can there be about us signing a deal with an airline company
  18. Cant say i've seen much of him last season, apart from the games against us. I remember him being very tricky/skillful. I know Chelsea have held an interest in him for a good while now as well. Just wondering, is he better off on the left, right or as a centre forward? Any fans of the Bundesliga able to fill me in?
  19. In his defence, he's right. Silva has been poor. It's all opinion though, remember. Good article mate.
  20. Indeed. Brazilian youth players seem to be very complex deals involving rights/3rd party ownerships. All I know is we have first refusal on the three/part ownerships already in place.
  21. The players were Wallace, Pernao, and Ronan.
  22. Fluminense. The RB, Wallace, has progressed to the first team I believe, although I don't think he's ready yet. Another player was fired by Fluminense I believe, cant remember his name though. There was also a third player if I recall. Will try to find some info.
  23. Terry is Chelsea's leader, armband or no. His influence at the club is incredible, it would be utter madness to make anyone else Captain imo.
