  1. Newcastle make an enquiry to take Carroll on a season-long loan from Liverpool. Hahaha.
  2. Good chance to test a few possible partnerships, this game - Just to see if there are any good understandings already (like Torres & Mata). Hazard-Lukaku De Bruyne-Hazard De Bruyne-Lukaku Hazard-Kakuta McEachran or Ramires in the midfield 2 Combinations of Luiz/Ivanovic/Cahill (Just realised that out of the current travelling party, we have no orthodox left-back, and only 2 strikers, one of whom has never played for the senior team - Looks like Lukaku will get his chance to prove himself)
  3. Let's hope he doesn't continue with the snippy comments. You're better than that, Andre.
  4. I should add he later deleted the tweet, claiming it to be 'sarcastic'. Pathetic behaviour.
  5. Don't see us being interested in Ganso to be honest - we don't need him. If Milan do indeed sell Silva/Ibrahimovic they'd be able to fund a move for him i'd imagine.
  6. These fantasy formations being posted in every single transfer thread are becoming extremely tedious. RE: Oscar - I still don't believe this deal is as far along as some seem to think. Frankly, I don't see a need for him at all anyway. You can't buy every talented player that comes onto the market.
  7. Just seen this as well. Best pic ever?
  8. Another #10? Total football anyone?
  9. Is there such a thing as a 'wrong' opinion? If you can justify your reasoning, then the opinion is valid, surely? This is my last post on the matter.
  10. What a surprise, another condescending post. Because an opinion is widely accepted, it means all other opinions are wrong? If you truly believe that, you shouldn't be posting on a forum on the first place.
  11. Your condescension still doesnt change the fact that's its your opinion and I disagree. Anyway, back to Maicon.
  12. Ivanovic, despite being decent at right-back, never really struck me as a natural in the position. There will be a lot of rotation between the two anyway i'd imagine (depending on opponent). I see Ivanovic leaving the club in the near future too. Just my opinion, not getting into a debate on who's the better, but Maicon is just a more natural RB.
  13. Optimism is great, but I think this is a little over the top. Our new first 11, including the signings you've mentioned above, has 4 players new to the EPL (possibly 3 depending on who the midfielder is). We're building a new team - it's going to take time, we shouldn't expect instant results. I'd be happy with a top 4 finish, winning the FA Cup and a decent run in Europe.
  14. Seems like a great move for him. Hope he does well there.
  15. So Marca are reporting that Madrid have ruled out signing Maicon - Despite Mourinho's best efforts to convince them. Maicon preferred Madrid, but will have to settle for Chelsea. Seems like this will be concluded soon (this week). I still think he'll come here and be first choice.
  16. I think you're reading entirely too much into it.
