  1. Haha. I don't understand why you feel Fellaini would oust Romeu from the squad though. I see Fellaini as a replacement for Essien/Meireles more than Mikel/Romeu.
  2. Standout? Let's not go too far. He was good in a few matches, was ill for a while and didn't play much for the remainder of the season.
  3. You can't blame him for wanting to play in London.
  4. http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/9808-the-stamford-bridge-thread/page__st__1062 ?
  5. It actually looks a lot better than I originally thought it would...Still won't be buying it though.
  6. No I understood your point, just the numbers didn't seem right. Power is a huge part of his game though, but not everything. He is rapidly quick as well.
  7. 150lbs? I don't believe that for a second. Where did you get that from?
  8. I'd actually say he's a better right back than centre back.
  9. I have to say, that seems incredibly harsh to drop Ramires from the starting 11, considering he was probably (along with Mata) our best player last season. Tough decisions for the new manager to make undoubtedly, but Ramires would be one of the first names on the team sheet if it were up to me.
  10. I've no idea how you've come to that conclusion, but they are undoubtedly a bigger club than Dortmund. Kagawa's decision to join United was clearly not solely because he wanted more money.
  11. I genuinely thought you were joking at first...Now I'm not so sure. Anyone who thinks that joining United from Dortmund is a step down is crazy.
  12. €16M, rising to €22M apparently. Good bit of business for United that.
  13. Your post should have ended there . FFP really isn't as big a worry as the media/forums etc are making out. If the club couldn't justify this summer spending, they wouldn't do it.
  14. ...Because they're on holiday. Theres no rush. The board should be taking their time to assess what's best for the club.
  15. Seeing as he isn't allowed to give interviews, seems logical that Chelsea will announce the transfer before then. Finally, we can close this thread... ...And open another.
  16. He's on holiday, isn't he?. Besides, nobody knows what's going on behind the scenes.
  17. So close to being decent. Lose the sash and the gradient on the stripes on the arms and it'd be fine.
  18. Sagna, on his day, is quality. Walcott, on any given day, is not. Both are about as unlikely as each other. Typical media nonsense.
  19. That photo is so old. Getting ridiculous now.
  20. What are you talking about? It's been well documented from every credible source there is that he is definitely joining us. If he signs today, tomorrow or next week, what difference does it make?
  21. Belgium have such a talented group of players, looking forward to seeing how they play as a team.
  22. I think you're talking about players in completely different moulds. Mata, Hazard, Kakuta, KdB all prefer to be the no.10, Sturridge a CF, meaning only Malouda and Marin are genuine wingers (I mentioned in another thread that there is a huge decline in the number of true wingers in the modern game). There is a huge difference between having a player that is able to cover a position, and having a player that naturally suits a role. Hulk provides a genuinely different option to any of the players mentioned above, I wouldn't say he's a true winger, but he is a different type of wide player than anyone else we have. I'm not arguing with you, I understand your scepticism, I myself question his defensive abilities, but I think we need a genuine right sided player, and Hulk seems to be the most viable option for the club.
