  1. He hasn't signed a deal (yet). Can understand if he wants another crack at English football, although I think its too soon.
  2. When you've got the financial security of being a pro footballer, I suppose you can afford to accelerate your life somewhat.
  3. Pretty sure VdW will end up in Spain/Portugal TX. Don't worry, we're safe... ...Hopefully.
  4. On paper, yes. I have serious reservations about playing 3 no.10s in the same side, both offensively and defensively, however. Luckily, they're just rumours at the moment (I'm sure you know my thoughts about Jovetic on the right by now )
  5. Would love for him to join. But let's be honest, it's never gonna happen, is it?
  6. Porto are possibly the best club in the world at getting top dollar for their players. Has to be admired (or loathed in the case of any club trying to deal with them).
  7. It is completely irrelevant. My point: They play in different positions therefore one deal is not dependant upon the other. That was it, just that. I'm not considering playing time/cost/wages etc. The point still stands and is completely logical. You can question Chelsea's interest in Jovetic all you like, i'm not interested in talking about that. The fact that you've listed players we already have in Jovetic's position kind of proves my point correct. We have players that play LW/CAM, but none on the RW, which is where the interest in Hulk stems from. If we sign Jovetic, and not Hulk, we still do not have a RW, correct? If we sign Hulk and not Jovetic, we have our RW. If we sign both, we have a true RW (to a degree) and back up for LW/CAM. I'm not saying we should sign Jovetic, as frankly I see no place for him here, but we are definitely interested, that much can be said. Not for £25m however.
  8. Again, irrelevant. I give up with you.
  9. Lost the argument? They play in different positions, therefore one deal is not dependant upon the other. That was my argument, and it still stands. You fail to understand the fact that Hulk is a target for the RW, Jovetic for either the LW/CAM. Is it really that difficult?
  10. Seems like a poor point to prove your argument, 'what's the point?'. I don't get why it is such a hard concept to grasp, they play in different positions, one is not dependant on the other. If we do not sign Hulk, and sign Jovetic, who plays RW?... Oh, and Chelsea would not pay £25m for Jovetic.
  11. Thats irrelevant to the fact that the Hulk deal does not affect our interest in Jovetic. Hulk is* being bought for the right side, Jovetic is not. *Of course its not a guarantee that he will join, nor Jovetic.
  12. How does it make no sense? Hulk is a right-sided player, Jovetic is not.
  13. We're definitely interested as far as I know, but the rumours of a €25m bid are well wide of the mark. I don't see why the Hulk deal would affect our bid for Jovetic. Seems like a replacement for Malouda if anything. Jovetic is not an alternative to Hulk, just a player we're interested in as well.
  14. So it should be. Less attention he gets, the better. He scored tonight, that's what he's supposed to do.
  15. Strange that he's been linked with the job (now favourite I think). Can't imagine Tottenham would have seen anything they liked whilst he was at Chelsea. They need to progress from where they are currently, not destroy everything Harry did in favour of AVB's philosophy.
  16. Whilst i'm here, anyone else noticed this in the top banner?
  17. Considering the fact we've just won the biggest prize in club football, the CL content was seriously underwhelming, partly due to the fact that the Chelsea TV commentary is awful. Hopefully they'll release a 'Road to Munich' DVD soon.
  18. Lucky we signed RDM to a deal just before old 'Arry left Spurs. Don't think I could put up with any more speculation.
  19. Would've thought it was one of RDM's demands when negotiating that Eddie be kept on as well.
  20. RDM has signed a 2 year deal! http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2810782,00.html
  21. The City bid rumour stems from the same guy that has been tweeting that Porto's president was in London to tie up the deal. Ignore him.
  22. David will be playing for Brazil at the Olympics. http://globoesporte.globo.com/futebol/noticia/2012/06/jefferson-revela-mais-um-nome-da-lista-olimpica-de-mano-menezes.html
  23. Doesn't matter if Porto offer him a new deal, he wants to leave. It's all just to get more money.
  24. I wouldn't take those quotes from Smuda seriously.
