  1. Just seen a report saying Keane's been sacked? Announcement expected tomorrow morning (apparently)
  2. I know what you mean and it's a difficult balancing act, the current team is ageing and not performing yet Carlo has to get results in order to save his job because he is under so much pressure, therefore he is forced to use his best team. I'm sure if Carlo knew his job was secure (using Arsenal again as an example - Wenger would never get the sack) he would start planning for the long term.
  3. Do you really expect the youth to rescue our season? Remember the regeneration of the Arsenal team and how long it took? What we need are a couple of quality, experienced signings who can push for places.
  4. I cannot think of anyone who is available currently. Stick with Carlo, Roman...Just please make some January signings.
  5. Doesn't seem to be any understanding of movement/posititioning, Cech's kicks to the front 3 have been well off target. We're getting bullied in the midfield and in the aerial challenges when we shouldn't, only JT is being brave enough in the challenge.Malouda and Anelka are dropping so deep to receive the ball, there is no-one for Ash and Bos to link with, and with Bolton playing such a solid back line, we have no opportunity to play it behind them.I'd like to see either: Another man in midfield (4-4-2) to take the pressure off of Essien, or, the unmarked centre-backs taking advantage of the pressure and moving the ball forward themselves.
  6. What makes you think that? Surely that's the strongest lineup we have at the minute?
  7. Kakuta is playing in the front three, not midfield.
  8. Why are the commentators relating everything back to Wilkins? Getting boring now...
  9. Chelsea is also a business and the club is just being run professionally, which i'm sure is what Roman wants. I agree that sometimes they can go about doing things in the wrong way (a few sackings come to mind) but I'm sure if the club were to release a statement regarding what goes on behind closed doors then we would get even more shit written about us in the papers anyway.
  10. BBC saying it will likely be an internal appointment...Clement looks likely.
  11. My bad. You made that post after we found out Malouda was passed fit. Refer to the prev page.
  12. I was referring to the post above mine.
  13. Am I missing something? As far as i'm aware Malouda IS fit, Essien is doubtful.
  14. Wayne's decision, or Coleens?
  15. I highly doubt the new owners would want to see Torres leave. They're trying to turn the club around, selling their star player is not on the agenda.
  16. "Kakuta and Chelsea are set for contract talks in the next few weeks but Ligue 1 clubs PSG and Lyon are reportedly ready to offer him an alternative." TalkSport Looks like we will know more pretty soon. I'm sure the club will do everything they can to keep him here.
  17. Cech; Ferreira, Ivanovic, Terry ©, Cole; Essien, Mikel, Zhirkov; Kalou, Anelka, Malouda. Pretty strong lineup that.
  18. Frustrating day, but then again I was expecting that. The game really lacked pace which didn't help our attack. McEachran's yellow was a joke. Great to see Bosingwa back as well.
  19. Millions? Apparently we have put a down payment of £10k, with future add-ons on top. He is German born. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/oct/14/chelsea-gyasi-northampton-town-boy

  21. Terry picks up injury while on duty with England: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12016_6437969,00.html
  22. What about Sturridge? Mikel Ramires - McEachran Neymar - Sturridge - Kakuta Back on topic, Santos will be offering everything they can to make him stay, and will be asking for every penny they can. That is the only thing I can foresee which could ruin the deal. In a way I think he was right to stay in Brazil for a little longer, he is so used to being a posterboy over there, and a sudden move to London would have been a massive culture shock for him. Maybe a year to prepare himself was the best thing for everyone.
  23. I knew this would come around again, many people were still/still are tipping him to join us in the future. We offered £25mil a couple of months ago, i'm sure we would still be willing to pay it. As far as i'm aware, Santos were not willing to accept a loan deal. The buyout clause means nothing, Santos could still accept less if the player wanted to leave, if they were not willing to do that we could trigger the minimum release clause and they would HAVE to let him leave. His attitude would definitely be sorted out here as well, there is no way CA would stand for him acting up. It's just because he is used to being the big fish in the small pond over there he has gained his ego.
