Yeah and Alex was called BlueLion before.

A man is known for keeping his word. In that light, could one of the admins change the name to Romper anyway?
-
Unlucky for the Gunners, a good away victory over a team that has always been very stable. Would have done the Premier League coefficient a lot of good.

Which would tire the players out. It would be money vs regular season, what does the club rate more.

I like the idea and the revenue that comes with it but If they are to take place in the summer time, when are the players going to rest from a busy season?
-
Sorry if I'm a bit late but I've read from an Estonian site that Roman has given Mourinho an expensive watch as a sign of conciliation. Can and should we read anything behind this if the rumor is true?

I'm not defending anyone, I'm saying my rational opinion. Let's not go over the anti-Torres vs neutral-Torres debate again, please. I know he is shit and has major self confident issues but at that present game, neither of the strikers played well. What would have you done instead of Torres when Rio pushed him?

To be fair, that's one side of the story. I'd like to hear AVB's response to this before we should crucify anyone. Ei incumbit probatio qui dicit, non qui negat.

A great sub and he did change the game, very good with the ball. Only downside with Mikel is that he is absolutely no threat to the goal, he rarely tries and that takes one dimension out of his game - noone marks him in the edge of the box leaving more opponents in the box to mark the likes of Mata, Hazard etc.
-
What should Torres have done? He can't go fighting with Rio on the pitch and that was Ferdinand's aim - to get a rest for their players from constant defending and break up our tempo. Stop living in a dream, wake the fuck up. Torres was no worse than Ba who had his worst game for us, might be because of Utd marking him closely but doesn't change the fact.

Proud of the team.

What a game, a thriller to be honest. Second half was great, I enjoyed it very much - always something going on, rarely a dull passing game in the middle. Many might not want to admit but Rafa subs were great, every single one of them brought something to our game, except Torres against Ba - both of them were very isolated but Ba seemed to work harder in defending. Very unlucky to concede the soft goals we did and also wondersave by De Gea after Mata brilliantly brought down the ball and wrong footed the defender, shame really. Replay at Bridge, with a positive and supportive atmosphere I can see us snatching it. Keep the faith.

Where are the legends now? They should be the glue that binds the team together and makes players work for eachother. Club's contract policy is -in hindsight- very accurate. Off with the old, in with hungry playersm who don't need or expect a ego massage every game they play.

The worst European champions of all-time?

Which managers are we talking about? If we are thinking about the same men then it isn't as one sided you make out of it.- 45 replies

Very polite of him, haha

Put yourself in his position, he is a legend in the club and he wants it to stay that way and there's only way to do that - write yourself in the history books. Don't be naive mate.
-
To be fair, Lampard is all about trying to score goals this season. He has so little assists to his name this season and that's something that screams about his style of play. He might deny it, but he is focused on the record to sign out with glory. Can't blame him for that but can blame him for putting himself first before the team.

Looks like a polo shirt. I really liked the past 2 seasons home shirts - one with the red collar and the other with long white stripes on the shoulders. I've got a 2009/10 shirt from the EPL win, ugly thing but has sentimental value.

There was a quote for this: If you drive over a road crossing and close your eyes, will you be of fault if you run someone over? For me it was orange card, maybe yellow, maybe red but the ref chose the last one - no complaints.
-
A pleasing result, good luck Mourinho and co. I mean Manutd are too far away to catch them anyway in the league, only thing is our game against them in the cup will be more fierce now. Was Nani's foul a red? Never. Was Rafaels handball a penalty? Yes, possibly a card aswell. Fair result. What a goal by Modric, blast from the past in such an awkward angle.

Can't see any of them even compare to The only place to be. He says things that won't make him popular but he speaks his mind, be it a bitter truth.

Would be a luxury signing. We have Bertrand/PvA to battle it out after (and if) Cole leaves next year. I think we have more urgent positions and roles to fill in this team than go hunting for the next big talent with a stricter budget than before FFP kicked in.
