Only downside with Mikel is that he is absolutely no threat to the goal, he rarely tries and that takes one dimension out of his game - noone marks him in the edge of the box leaving more opponents in the box to mark the likes of Mata, Hazard etc.

What should Torres have done? He can't go fighting with Rio on the pitch and that was Ferdinand's aim - to get a rest for their players from constant defending and break up our tempo. What a game, a thriller to be honest. Second half was great, I enjoyed it very much - always something going on, rarely a dull passing game in the middle. Many might not want to admit but Rafa subs were great, every single one of them brought something to our game, except Torres against Ba - both of them were very isolated but Ba seemed to work harder in defending. Very unlucky to concede the soft goals we did and also wondersave by De Gea after Mata brilliantly brought down the ball and wrong footed the defender, shame really. Replay at Bridge, with a positive and supportive atmosphere I can see us snatching it. Keep the faith.

To be fair, Lampard is all about trying to score goals this season. He has so little assists to his name this season and that's something that screams about his style of play.
