  1. The club justified the change of picture by saying 'Di Matteo is no longer the manager'. So why have they chosen to replace him with a photo that features Drogba, Bosingwa and Meireles?
  2. Erm no he isn't. The team photo has been replaced with one of the players with the cl trophy.
  3. Yep article in daily mail I think it was showing that he has been airbrushed. What a fucking joke, the club are now so stupid that they think they can rewrite history.
  4. We had just qualified for the Champions League. Although we were in a poor financial situation we would have gained loads of revenue from being in that, we had just completed a large scale redevelopment of the stadium and had some great players that we could have easily sold if we needed to. I doubt we would have gone completely bankrupt. Absolutely. It has ruined the sport. What the hell? Football was a global sport already! It was, by an absolute country mile the most watched and played sport in the world long before that money-grabbing cunt Murdoch arrived on the scene. You are right, Sky invested millions and football became a business. And the consequences? We have to pay around £15 per month to watch our own domestic football league (in the UK anyway)Money is now of more interest to a club than its supportersTicket prices have reached laughable heightsEverything in football is money-driven, right down to the players. Of course money was an incentive before but now it has reached a stupid scalePlayer wages are sillySky have a pro-Man U agenda and the scale of the Murdoch empire is so great that it has caused the influence of refereeing decisions and decisions made by the FAIt has brought in investors and foreign owners who don't give a fuck. How often do you see Stan Kroenke at Arsenal games or Venky's at Blackburn? No more than 5 times a seasonYou are right, it is the way modern football is heading. Its the wrong way too. Can't wait to see what football is like by 2022 for the World Cup in Qatar. If things continue the way they are going, it will be dead as a sport that is affordable to watch, driven almost entirely by brands and sponsors. How long until clubs become 'Samsung Chelsea' or 'Chelsea FC with Samsung?'. It wouldn't surprise me if we start seeing stuff like that in 10 or so years. We already have 'The Capital One Cup' and the 'Emirates Stadium' etc. Murdoch has ruined football
  5. I think there is still a picture of him on the old shed wall- I don't think the club are stupid enough to take that down because it would be blindingly obvious but I don't remember if there is a picture of the team (including him) on the wall opposite the West stand. I think there was at the start of the season, I'll check on Saturday. They might have just taken down that photo and put another one up where he wasn't in it originally
  6. So this is an easy game is it? Remember what happened when we all said that against Brentford?
  7. he's not a saviour but he is hardly an awful manager is he? At Brondby: 2x domestic cup winners 1x league winners 3x league runner up At Getafe (probably the equivalent to a team like Bolton at the time) Domestic cup runners-up to Valencia UEFA Cup quarter finalists, going out to Bayern Munich At Mallorca Saves a club in financial turmoil that is being forced to sell its best players from relegation to the 2nd division At Swansea City Wins the League Cup in his first season In a managerial career spanning around 10 years that's hardly awful is it? Everywhere he has gone his sides have played nice, passing, attacking football. I know everyone is desperate for Mourinho but what if he changes his mind and decides he doesn't want to come back? Then who? Still, it doesn't make any difference because you will be calling for him to be sacked when we lose 3 games anyway
  8. Anyone seen Rupert? Come out and discuss the game with us Rupert! Tell us about how rafa is a genius
  9. City playing one step beyond oh dear get some originality you pieces of shit. Before the money their stadium was filled with fans dressed as empty seats
  10. does this mean our game at home to West Ham on Saturday 16th will get moved to Sunday 17th?
  11. It wouldn't surprise me to be honest. I'll check that next Saturday. Stamford Bridge is like a fucking dictatorship the way Chelsea TV won't say a bad word about Rafa, they don't allow banners for fans to give their opinions and now this. Absolute bullshit.
  12. Well quite clearly he did. If Ba was up front the game probably would have been out of Sparta's reach by half timeWe were not booing the substitution you moron, we were booing the fact that la mierda was staying on the pitch offering absolute fuck all as usual while one of our creative players was being substituted. Wow fuck me Rafa must really be a tactical genius to notice that things needed changing didn't he? Its not like we were getting outplayed by a side we would probably have demolished under Mourinho. It was obvious to everyone that Hazard needed bringing on so why does Rafa deserve respect for doing the bloody obvious and bringing on a player that everyone in the stands could see we needed. We are not even the supposed 'tactical genius' eitherThat's right. Loyal supporters who had paid thousands of pounds to travel to the other side of the world to see the wanker jog around giving 20% in every game he played. Why should we show him respect if he isn't going to show us respect by playing to the best of his ability? He can't even be fucked to jog towards the penalty box these days let alone jump for a header Nope.Yes Oscar was not at his best but he was nowhere near as bad as Torres. We could have brought Hazard on for Torres and put Victor Moses up front or play with a false number 9. Torres lost the ball far more than Oscar (and Oscar was actually trying) and it would usually end up being his fault that they counter attacked either because he would run into a player or not give Oscar, Moses or Mata an option to pass to so they would lose the ball. That's right, the same Fernando Torres who got all the plaudits against Barca last season by trying to dribble past 4 players on the edge of our box in the 92nd minute, losing the ball and not being arsed to track back and instead decided to jog aimlessly towards the halfway line. He was then incredibly lucky to get the ball and score yet he got all the praise? He is the one who consistently puts us in danger
  13. I don't get the point you are trying to make. So what if la mierda has said that Rafa is the best manager he has ever had? Surely he would say that if under Rafa was when he had his best form? Just because Torres says Rafa is the best it does not mean that he is. We don't have to think he is because Torres thinks he is. There are many better managers than Rafa. Look at some of the managers that Torres has played under: Del Bosque, Hodgson, Ancelotti, Benitez, Villas-Boas, Di Matteo. His best form was under Benitez so does it really surprise you that Torres says Benitez was the best manager he has ever had, despite the fact that Del Bosque, Hodgson and Ancelotti are superior to him? Yes, plain facts do cause us to throw our toys out the pram. Do you honestly expect us to be happy that the board appoint a manager who, in the past has said: perhaps if he had apologised in his first press conference for his bitter remarks we would be slightly more welcoming towards him. However, why is he at a club that he has said over the years that he hates, one that he took swipes at at every opportunity while managing the bin dippers? Why would he move here if he loves Liverpool so much and said he would never manage us out of respect to Liverpool? I'll tell you why: He is a greedy wanker who is only here for money. He has no intention of helping us to win something and why should he? Its an interim contract. He does not have a genuine passion for the club like past managers, he's just here to take a big fat pay cheque come the end of May. And what has his disgusting decision to manage a side for which he has no respect brought? Getting turned over at home by QPR and Swansea and failing to beat relegation candidates such as Southampton and ReadingGoing from being 4 points off Manchester United when Di Matteo left to 16 points nowLosing the CWC final with an appalling displayBeing taken to an FA Cup replay by a side 2 divisions below usOn top of that, we have seen some awful substitutions from the 'tactical genius', including substituting on defenders when we are chasing a game and the persistent inclusion of Fernando Torres in the starting XI. Tell me, Rupert, if Fernando Torres is so amazing, why has he been consistently awful since 2011 when we signed him? As ElTigreProdz as pointed out, his goals under Rafa have hardly been on any significance/ importance and it has been obvious that he has not even been trying in some matches. Against West Ham he failed to jump for headers, make runs for Hazard, Mata and Moses, did not track back and just had a general 'don't give a fuck' attitude. Tell me, Rupert, is that what we paid £50m for? I stand by players that try but when I am spending my hard-earned money on watching these players (and consequently contributing towards their wages) is it really fair that I have to put up with players not giving their all? If Fernando is so amazing because he scored some goals at Liverpool, why has he struggled so much here? If he is not getting service, why did Demba Ba manage to score 2 goals on his debut and continue to score? (And break his nose competing for the ball against Newcastle, the sort of commitment and passion that we never have and never will see from Torres) If the manager that Torres did so well under is here why are we not seeing signs of the most feared striker in Europe returning? I wouldn't say a handful of goals against tin-pot Leeds, a Mexican club I have never heard of and Nordsjaelland is striking fear into defenders across the country. Would you?
  14. ruperts' 'facts' have been proven wrong time and time again. He has called others, including me, idiots on numerous occasions yet you have said nothing about that. Or just because his opinion is in the minority you feel we should just defend him when he consistently attacks others? At times I do genuinely question whether he is just trying to be awkward rather than having a different opinion.
  15. 4:30 kick off if we beat Boro. 4:30? what da fuq? how are all the Man U fans meant to get back to London that evening with a kick off that late?
  16. Can we have a background of balloons, party blowers and party hats put up when Benitez goes please?
  17. The one, tiny single, minute thing I like about Rafa is that he will actually speak his mind about the stupid old wanker that is Alex Ferguson. Most managers just lick his arse but at least Benitez is willing to stand up to the cunt
  18. oh for fuck sake I hate those wankers. Come on Reading!!!
