Totally agree. Yes nice bloke, always gives a big effort and loyalty but £60k a week for our 3rd choice right back - come on guys......
-
Yes I agree he is committed and seems a decent bloke. However are we all missing the fact here he that he is apparently on £60k a week and is the worst player in our squad??. Of course he wants to see out his contract on that as he will only get about £10k max with a move. He also said he has plans after football, so is obvioulsly saving up for that...

As terminator x just said, the banner was a publicity stunt.

Plastic fans cause they forget the man who did good for them one year ago. Plastic fans is a better term for what you are getting at. You are correct in what you are saying but a manager is only as good as his last game. On your theory if we lost every game now till the end of the season Ancellotti should still not get sacked because of what he achieved last year??
-
Thats a fair point, but I think your missing what a glory hunter really is. A glory hunter is someone who changes thier team at the drop of hat to whoever is performing the best at that current time. On that basis all the "glory hunters" would have switched thier alligence to Man Utd...
-
Apparently he had been waiting there for hours.......probably was not right in the head.....
-
What me posting the banners or me in the Harding stand??
-
To be fair that was one bloke by himself....He probably just wanted his picture in the papers... Re: glory hunters....If you compare the atmosphere at the bridge now to when we had terracing in the shed and benches in the west stand it is terrible.Only the die hards seem to go in the Harding stand these days. That is due to our recent success and cosmopolitan London, people who's family are not Chelsea will just support who the best team is at the time and will pay top whack to see them. Unfortunately the true fans are priced out of the game now....

how about "MALOUDA PASS THE BALL"
-
Totally agree. For me we should not even be debating this, the guy is top drawer and has it all. Defensive postioning and awareness, heading, left foot, right foot, short passing, long passing, shooting, strength, distribution, pace and tackling. Ok he was a very reckless in his first few games but a defender has to adjust to the league he is in. Look at his displays against Blackpool and Man City, he showed intelligence, tackled at the right time and defended correctly. What he also provides is the starting point for our counter attacks...with Terry/Alex/Ivanovic at centre half this would not happen.. When you take his age into account if he can stay injury free can be a big player for us for a decade...
-
That is true, but on the other side of the coin he has proven world class ability and is in the prime of his career. To be fair to him though he is not getting the chances by his team mates. He has had 1 decent through ball his entire Chelsea career (Luiz against Fulham).
-
Remember though a fair amount of that will be recouped by his shirt sales over the remainder of his contract IF he starts scoring goals..
-
Lets just cement 4th place first and then we can all look forward. The good thing is that the players are all fit and we are running into some nice form. If Carlo can get the team selection balance right (when to introduce Yossi and Alex), we have a good chance in both competitions. Don't wanna sound pessimistic here but not having Luiz avaiable in CL severely hampers our chances.
-
Totally agree with this, Yossi has a football brain similar to Torres. I just pray that Malouda is the one to make way. I would argue though that he had a fair few chances against Fulham also (Luiz through ball)
-
I think Anelka will see out his contract with us before he leaves. I think we may get a few people interested in Malouda hopefully as he is a main player in the France team. The problem with getting rid of Paulo will be his high wages, he will have to agree in a drop to get a move. He always gives 100% but he is not good enough..
-
Anelka and Malouda are the ones we will sell hopefully.
-
Carroll is the new Duncan Fergusen.... Its interesting to see how inflated premier league prices are... Suarez and Luiz cost about 20 mill each coming from europe Carroll and Torres were 35 and 50 mill each coming from England
-
The only reason Carlo should be sacked is if we do not make the top 4....

Firing blanks in the last seven games
steve5221 replied to BLionheart's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
To be fair to Torres it is not 7 games, add up all his minutes on the pitch and it will amount to 5 at most.......the problem here is Malouda, he will not score while that guy is in the team.... -
The only problem with him was the offensive side of his game, defensively he was brilliant.....now he has the confidence from that goal against City he could really be a big player for us....
-
Whats the stats from the last 10 games though - I would imagine that is for the whole season- he was flying at the start... I'm pretty sure Liverpool played Yossi on the left of a 4-4-2, that would work perfectly for us with Ramires on the right....Yossi providing the service for Torres and Drogba/Anelka/Kalou......
-
Plus we had momentum going into every game on the back of a decent result....I'm just hoping no one gets injured this weekend, espcially if Israel play Yossi......he is hugely important to Torres scoring any goals...
-
He has upped his work rate recently though. His form is poor at the moment but he is trying.
-
The worst player out thier is Diouf.......there are plenty of players who we love to hate, but that c**t has spat at fans numerous times (one of the lowest things to do), and played the race card when he abused a steward against Everton.... Hang on did'nt a certain French Manc do that aswell against one of ours???
-
I guarantee that Torres won't score in open play this season while Malouda is on the pitch, who's with me on that??
