With Everton signing a CM from Twente, I wouldn't be surprised if we did sign Fellaini but let's wait for the window to close to draw conclusions

Don't be daft. I'm saying that this isn't as easy as some people make it sound. In Football Manager you place a bid, other club accepts, woalaa - the player is in your list ready to play. In the real world, it's much more than that. They've got to readjust their lives and re-locate families.

This isn't football manager or FIFA. Player transfers actually affect real people's lives, some of you don't realise that. It involves moving, getting a new home, new school for kids, new culture, environment and on top of that pressure to perform. Football is a business, if it doesn't make financial sense to get a player, the club won't. January transfer window isn't known for getting good buys for money-value ratio. I'd rather we'd not spend a dime and wait for permanent manager to take over in the summer, give him time, finances to build a new squad and have the whole summer to gel it.

Wonder why is that so? Might be because their owners and fans don't call for sacks every bad spell the club has. I hope young coaches like Klopp and so on never come here, they deserve better, someone who gives them time, trust, finances and respect. All this Rafa slating has been blown out of porportions, it's a personal vendetta if anything. Our squad is just that weak. In real life do you guys shake a winners hand and say well played or do you mumble something and insult, accuse, blame everyone for the loss? The name doesn't play, the fact that our players are better known doesn't alone make them better players. We've got more then a few players in the squad who are nowhere near the level they used to be or will never reach the level expected at a club like Chelsea. Marin, Bertrand, Turnbull, Torres, Ferreira, Benayoun and even Lampard and Terry aren't on the level needed to be. Plus Malouda. So much money paid for wages, so little result. Time to sort this squad out and STICK to a manager.

Liverpool and Tottenham out

Double Mata on voting list, Oscar MOTM for me by far

A draw would be the worst thing for us. We've got such a weak squad - only 12-13 players who are worthy being in this club. Rest should be sold, sacked, demoted to reserves. And that pitch is awful, not that it matters because both teams have equal conditions, so fair play to Bentford. Thin and shabby squad, happens if you change managers like socks.

Closed the game. If they don't give a shit, I don't either...

I get your point and I'm not defending Benitez. He was a wrong appointment from the start - we all know that. But the club was in a sticky position and hoped for a miracle. All I'm trying to say is that Benitez can't be getting all the stick here, we're overlooking the players as culprits. With a few exceptions, we've had tons of chances every game and we seem to waste most of them, players to me, seem exhauasted because it has been a hectic 2 months with a thin squad. Now, I'm not sure what Benitez is supposed to do. If he'd play squad players, he'd get stick for going in with a bad line-up thus potentially costing us the game. If he goes in with a strong line up he gets stick for not using a rotation and making silly subsitutions. Let's be honest, the players are underachieving and it just can't be overlooked. We both know Benitez won't leave until the summer, unless something drastic happens - so why stir it up? We just got to live with the fact that he's the manager of Chelsea Football Club and will be there till the end of the season. Fans on the stadium acting like twats don't help either, it just spreads the negativity and the pressure only gets worse. There's a saying in the army - you don't salute the man, you salute the rank. He's the manager, we've got to deal with it for a couple of months more. I'm a fan of Chelsea FC not Benitez, not Lampard's or any other player. Noone is bigger than the club.

Get a grip, we're just saying it is shared blame. It's as much as players' fault than it is Rafa's

FA is a disgrace, blindfolded about certain things, blowing the trumpet for others...

Your comparisons are off mate, you don't take the "human factor" into the equation. Torres doesn't score - Benitez's fault, Mata, Lampard, Ramires miss sitters - Rafa's fault. There's a saying, translating it roughly from my own language: "it's human-like to make mistakes", we all make them. From your analogy, we can say that if for example you or any other person turns out to be a criminal, a slob, a drunk or just a waste of space on Earth, does that make it their parents fault? - no, everyone is responisble for themselves. Also, what you're saying is that Mourinho, Ancelotti, Scolari, Grant, AVB, RDM and now Rafa - neither of those names were able to motivate players and get CONSISTENT results through out the season, because they all got the sack for the results? They're professionals, atleast I hope so, this isn't a kindergarden - "I don't want to play with you" etc etc, it's their job. Does your boss (not sure if you work or study) or professor needs to motivate you? No, because you've got to work your ass off yourself or you'll get either sacked yourself or drop out of university. Why are professional footballers any different? They aren't, only with the fact that they earn as much money in a month that you or me earn in our whole lives.

Till the end of the season, yes we are moving forward with Benitez, noone to get. Top managers aren't apples on the tree and we've wasted alot of good managers. To be fair, if I was a manager, I wouldn't even consider Chelsea. Pep did a good job going to Bayern, should have sticked with Ancelotti Don't compare football now and post century football, it's like comparing engineering now and then, uncomparable. Keep your memories about that era but things have changed.

That's the thing, get out of the history mindset, we are all very thankful to Zolas and Wises and Drogbas and Lampards and whoever but the club must function now and in the present, future. It's time to move on

Rafa came mid-season, stats show nothing, can blame it on the thin squad, and add RDM exhausting the players, under him there was only one starting XI, it will take its toll

I get what you mean and I thank you for the constructive reply. I'm not trying to defend Rafa, I think it was a mis-fit appointment and it can't go longer than till end of the season but all I'm trying to say is that it's not all Benitez, there's more to it and I'm glad there are more people around that even remotely share that view. Regards to Di Matteo. Of course, he was fantastic, he had such an influence but Abramovich always looked at him as a stop-gap, he would have been gone one way to another. I can't understand the sacking of Ancelotti, I think he was brilliant. But that's that, football on that level isn't supposed to make sense aslong as it makes money, it's a multi-billion pound business and that's an understatement.

It's not Rafa's fault that our bench is how it is. He isn't in control of the transfers, there's only one man in charge and we all know who it is. People moaning that we've got 4 defenders on the bench while we got to win the game by 2 goals, who on earth was he supposed to put there? Some youth team strikers? Give me a break. Face the facts, Rafa hasn't had a fair chance at the job, he never will be because of all the fans who are blindfolded and can only think one thought: "Sack Rafa, sack another manager, get Mourinho" - it has worked wonders so many times past years, right? We need to have more balance in the squad. At the moment we're strong when it comes to attacking midfielders, on paper anyway. We lack cover for every position you can think of, and when I say cover I mean suitable one. McEachran or Turnbull or Bertrand or Marin are nowhere near the level you'd expect even a subsitute to be in a club like Chelsea. We depend on handful of players, namely Juan Mata, who seems to be burning out. He is just out of energy and needs to rest. We sorely miss Moses aswell. Sometimes when I happen to read RedCafe or RAWK forums I honestly admire how people there can remain civilized or atleast show support to their team or players regardless of the situation. A lot we can learn from them, take it as you may. It's not Rafa, it's the players. Millionaires who are used to slacking without punishment - it's always the manager. Just for the record, Lampard was awful last night, on the basis of that he shouldn't get a new contract and realistically thinking we need a change. Abramovich sees that and I support that. Rather let a great player go than keep him rotting on the bench, he ain't getting any younger and Chelsea need to clear out player power and turn a new page in their book.

SAF said that?

How is that ball-boy twat allowed to shield the ball?
-
Torres might not score that many goals but you're being harsh - he does get involved in the build-up plays. Besides going with two strikers is only a logical way to go judging the first half display. Nothing to lose
-
Stop moaning, football is game of two halves - there's one still to go. Keep your emotions in control, you look like twats

Come on Chels, we got this

I'd go with the strongest line-up, we've got FA cup match on weekend, we can rest people there. If we do progress on the expense of Swansea, then we have a really good chance of getting our hands on the trophy
