They've also made weird transfer decisions, which are no way connected to Rafa Benitez. For example selling Eto'o and having contractual bust up with Sneijder. Signing unproven talent, can't expect them to be what they were with the squad they've got.

What's wrong with that? He gets out of the way into the more central aera in case of keeper's parry or cross into the box

Very right

Not sure they're appreciating the game they're witnessing at the moment either way

I'd be alright if we drop out of Europa League, can be two headed sword given our squad and league position. Getting top four and perhaps FA Cup should be our priorities
-
Good decision to rest players. With all the respect to Sparta Prague, we should be able to beat them while playing with rotated squad, especially if we're playing at home. No excuses. Got to stay sharp for sunday's game against City

Well played to AC Milan, on paper their team is nowhere near Barca's but there you go. First goal 100% handball (Montolivo's shot hit Zapata's hand) but all I could think of was "how does it feel Barcelona?" Second goal nice team play

The three-time World Cup winner has launched a stinging attack on his compatriot, accusing him of underperforming for his country and being too concerned with his own image Brazil and Santos legend Pele has criticised Neymar and says he is nothing more than an "ordinary player" for the national side. The 21-year-old striker has been compared to his legendary compatriot, but the 72-year-old has revealed his belief that Neymar is overrated and a single-minded attitude. "For the national team, he's just an ordinary player," Pele told O Estado de Sao Paulo. "He's got a huge responsibility and his greatest concern is to change his style, change his haircut. "Every match we have outside the country, he doesn't perform well. Everyone thinks he's supposed to be the answer to every problem we have in the national team [but] Neymar is not ready for that much weight, he can't do it." Pele then added his belief that Neymar's disappointing displays for Brazil, in comparison to those with Santos, where he has won the Copa Libertadores, are down to a lack of exposure to European tactics. "He doesn't play in a foreign country, and European football is very different from what we play here in South America," he continued. "He wants to get the ball, dribble, use his skills [but] he needs to leave the ball a little, play for the team. "He's very inexperienced internationally. Barcelona would be the ideal place for him [but] I don't think he will leave because Santos still need him."

Terry isn't the player he was couple of seasons back. Over the past couple of seasons he has been in the spotlight for the wrong reasons. For having affairs, losing England's captain position, injuries, bust up with AVB, Rafa and almost costing us the Champions League with getting himself sent off in a silly position (vs A. Sanchez) He is a great player no doubt but all of this takes its toll. He has to get used to being on the bench, so does soon to be 35 year old Lampard

I get it. Torres has to go, Benitez has to go but judging from posts (not yours directly) people think getting Cavani and Mourinho will automatically make us play like Barcelona. Ain't going to happen. Our problems run deeper than that.
-
Your hate for them is blind. But I'll let you in on a secret, they're not the only problems in the squad and reason why we play rubbish football.

What a boring game

What's the talk of Mourinho out-done tactically? Madrid were in total control and were unlucky not to score 4-5 goals. Fabio Coentrao in particular had two chances, both of which were wonderfully saved by De Gea. Also Ronaldo wasn't far away from his second only to miss the target from close range with his head. United go lucky and were only dangerous during couple of occasions (Van Persie's miss for example) Also they can't play as defensive and as deep when they're at Old Trafford, because it might and most certainly will backfire. It's beyond me how Jones didn't even get booked, was allright but very raw with his challanges. Same could be said about Varane who took down Evra, easily could have been a straight red (last man), credit to the referee though, kept it under control as much as needed. It's men's game, there should be some kind of physical battle allowed.

Goes for every player not just Lukaku. It's part of being a professional footballer. If you can't take criticism then they're on the wrong field of life. There isn't a time set for every player when they're ready.. and I feel Lukaku deserves a chance in a club he has been supporting long before joining it.
-
Very well said, I think it's about time we started to appreciate our youngsters and giving them chances. It feels weird called Lukaku a youngster, just look at him and his preformances thus far. 10 goals is 23 outing for a 19-year old is amazing in my book. Can't wait to see him given a chance at the Bridge next season.

We don't need a diva, he's whoring himself out to clubs publicly

Incredible blunder

How many goals does Lampard need now to reach the record?

Azpilicueta is a beast. What a buy. Every game he runs his socks off and what did he cost? 8M, something like that? Brilliant display once again, basically created the goal for Hazard and also Marin with his rocket of a strike. Hazard was brilliant aswell. You can tell he was feeling fresh and rested, dribbling very nicely and calmly taken finish. I feel for Torres. He should have atleast got one goal if not two. Two fantastic saves from the goalkeeper. He was quite good today, nice assist for first goal and looked lively all evening, well done to him.
-
That's a good sign. Means he wants to move and more or less his mind is set for moving in the summer, glad he mentioned Chelsea
-
All he says is "[Carragher] was a key player for us" - what's wrong with that? He WAS in Liverpool so Carragher WAS a key player for him, using past tense not present. It's same as Mourinho would say for example: "Claude Makelele was a key player for us back in 2004/2005".. he said nothing wrong in my eyes.

Can't say Oscar was hyped as much as Hazard or Neymar. tell you the truth, I didn't know much of him until we signed him, same with Ramires. I knew they are brazilian internationals but not much else, and I can't say I don't read football news. Rmpr, I understand you want to "protect" Brazilian league's reputation and make some valid points but that's as far as it goes. If Neymar is anywhere the player he is, he should be ready to move to Europe. All this Europe vs non-Europe comparisons are valid aswell. even in other sports you're considered a world class player more widely if you've for example played in NHL or NBA. It's the same with football. All this lifestyle and friends argument is evolving around money. Doubt he does much thinking himself, doesn't come across as the most intelligent player, he has tons of advisors and sponsors infleuncing his decision - and the main motive is MONEY. It's all business and not even about his skill or urge to play in Europe. Aslong as he doesn't make his move, I see him as a young player with huge potential but never world class.

Estonia lost 0:1 to Scotland away at Aberdeen. Not a bad result, they deserved it. Most of Scottish squad is on their peak, because their season is under way but 90% of Estonians are on their pre-season and seemingly off the pace and sloppy in possession (most play in Estonian, Russian, Chinese or USA's leagues) Not bad, had some good chances... the pitch for a footballing country like Scotland was absolute rubbish, worse than Brentford's
