Behind his back, it's not like the shot came out of the blue.

Defo a penalty, no question, can't keep your hands like that on this level of play, silly mistake by JT...

I'm reporting you for posting pornography AWESOME goal, my favourite next to Drogbas back heel vs Arsenal and Joe Cole backheel vs United at Old Trafford

So many e-managers here. Keep calm, nothing's going to change before the summer and we all know it. Our squad is weak on paper and on the field, we lack leadership and initiative from players, our manager was a mis-fit from day one. A season to forget. Only thing I can't understand is why did we prioritize FA Cup over Premier League? I'd much rather get into top 4 than MAYBE win the FA Cup and bust in the league. On second thought we might use a gap year to re-build and get our act together, sort our managerial situation and get some stability since Mourinho days.

Estonia lost 0-3 to Holland at Amsterdam Arena... 1st half was good but we fell apart in the second... class showed - especially Robben, Van der Vaart and Van Persie...
-
Hazard was immense but I noticed our full backs very rarely bomb forward now, worked defensively. Only worry we really had was Carroll's physical presence, well done to players and Rafa

Rather have Kazan than Lazio, Benfica or Spurs. Other good draws could have been Fenerbahce (although their stadium will be hard place to go) or Basel, who have tendency to slay giants

Hey Tomo, great to read from you again, be safe

Wow, what a second half. United were lucky not to lose. Well played lads, great to see the old Chelsea again, will it continue?

On a positive note Jan Verthongen double takes Spurs ahead in Anfield... o wait

Closed the game after 2-0. If they can't be arsed, I can't be either. Benitez has to go, we're a joke of an opponent as we stand now, can't beat anyone anymore, every game is so tricky. I hope Abramovich now realises that it's not the managers that are purely behind the results, but also the underperforming, over-rated players. I'd sack half of the squad, bring back some youngsters from loan and get couple of new signings in. It's a disgrace. From a hero to zero in 8 months

This also shows that it's not only Benitez who has to get his act together, our finishing is wasteful whichever way you look at it

Win is a win and a deserved one! Well done to the players. Ben Foster had such a great game, feel sorry for Oscar

What a debut from Ake, looked very solid. Hope he keeps it up!

I think he is somewhat right and somewhat wrong. I agree totally with the part that the minority of fans who are just scapegoating Benitez for everything and anything negative, but never aknowledge his positive achievements with the club, aren't doing us any favours. Ok, yes we know you want him out, we know at times the results haven't gone our way, we're struggling to hold onto top four place, yes we know Di Matteo won us the Champions League (which has as much to do with him as it does with Drogba's form and pure luck) but he's gone now, won't be coming back. It was a great gesture to applaud him on 16th minute but it's getting old now. There are 11 players on the pitch trying to win games, putting in performances although they're overplayed due to lack of squad depth (and quality, because some of the names on the bench shouldn't be there, not sufficent cover ability wise) - and that has nothing to do with the manager or players. It goes down to the board and board only. They're in charge of the transfers, they appointed Benitez and they inserted the title "interim manager" - which made sure he had nowhere the respect from anyone from day one. So yes, Rafa's right about one thing. Why focus on distributing hate (especially on the Internet) when we know that in 3 months (90 days!) time he will be gone. So instead of rambling on about Benitez, focus on the team and help the team. There's a saying that no man is bigger than the club, well the minority of the fans are equaling Benitez with Chelsea in a sense that they'll rather keep on being twats than support, chant, clap, cheer the team - no matter the result. We all have bad days, why shouldn't footballers. But he has two weak points. Benitez is terrible with the media. He lets his emotions take control and will say things he'll regret later on. I'm sure the board wasn't expecting that nor will they appreciate him discussing internal affairs with media. Because let's face it English media is made up from bullshit news, taking a quoute and twisting it just to get a couple of million clicks. News=Business, not a source of news. Times have changed. He also stresses the fans' role too much. Like he said, he won 9 trophies in different countries, he should be mentally stronger to hold his composure and refrain from such remarks. In the end of the day, he has had dreadful games tactically - nothing to do with the "small group of fans with an agenda". Both sides need to look in the mirror. He won't and can't be the manager next season, that's clear from day one but we need to accept that he will be gone not before than end of the season. And it saddens me to see that while we have an interim manager, we also got interim fans.

Good result for Madrid and Mourinho but what a dirty game - lots of dives, foul plays and card fishings
-
That's harsh.. we've got Mata who has bailed us out so many times. But he can only do so much, he is a human. We've been playing so many games (most in Europe if i remember correctly) that it's no wonder that players are tired. This one goes down to the board, they knew what we were facing this season but decided to shut their eyes
-
As you know I've been quite conservative when it comes to sacking managers but things have gone so far that it's literally a situation where anyone would have a positive effect on the team, even if they are inferior knowledge

Benitez has to go, it's clear as day now. But he can't be blamed for 100% of it. Lots has to do with the players not turning up. Ivanovic and Lampard we're worst on the pitch today. Cahill, Hazard and Cech were solid. It's funny but it's not the strikers that should be our transfer priority come summer, it's the midfield. Lampard, Mikel and Ramires not good enough. Ramires is good going forward at times but too sloppy mostly. Mikel defensively solid most of the time but if he does make a mistake it's a big one. Although Mikel did give us stability today, we fell apart if Mikel was subbed for Torres. (which is understandable subsitution) I'm sorry but Lampard today isn't what he used to be. He seems to be more focused on getting the 203 goals for himself than he is of the club's welfare (just look at the optimistic shots from 40 yards out) but today he was below par for even a 35 year old. Not blaming him for penalty miss, shit happens. Hope he gets his 203 tally but for me, it's his time to bow out. We need new CMFs and DMFs to help Mata, Hazard, Ba and so on. Benat? Capoue? Cabaye? Modric? Fellaini? Players like that. City were better, well done to them. Upwards and onwards. Come on Chelsea!! Cahill MOTM

It wasn't a bad pet, it was a GREAT save, get those two right... get behind the team not come across like twats saying "LOL I KNEW IT" "LOL POOR LAMPS", we've been doing alright given our problems on and off the pitch...
-
They're playing home, it's normal they dominate possession. Stop whining
-
Di Maria is a very good footballer but he is so dumb, got booked 2x for ball keeping and blocking of a free kick in 10 seconds, red carded. Well done to the referee, showed who is in charge

Ba/Lukaku/Feruz vs Tevez/Dzeko/Agüero vs Van Persie/Hernandez/Rooney/Welbeck vs Sturridge/Suarez/Borini vs Benzema/Higuain/Ronaldo vs Messi,Villa,Sanchez,Pedro vs Gomez,Mandzukic(they've also got Müller, Robben, Ribery, Kroos) Our strikeforce would only be comparable to Liverpool's IF EVEN THAT. Going into the new season with those three is like shooting yourself into the foot before entering a marathon. They're class act but at the ages of 17 and 19 they aren't there yet, and rightly so. We will need to and I'm 90% sure we'll go for a striker come the transfer window

Mikel hasn't played for Chelsea for a long time, he needs the minutes to shift back in. Oscar on the other hand has played 48 matches for us already this season (incl. friendlies and all that) which is alot for a 21 year old. And Oscar isn't a CMF or DMF as many want him to be. He is an attacking midfielder, his natural position is where Mata plays. Not on the wing nor double pivot.
