Brilliant, better news than us winning Europa League

Europa League Final 2013 - Benfica 1-2 Chelsea

Matic TWICE took Ramires out with too physical tackles, the first one was surely a yellow card and that wouldn't even be close to being "harsh" card. No matter how early in game, you just can't do that. Though must say Matic has nice technique for a tall player. -

Was Ferreira saying good bye to the fans already? He was also thrown in the air by team mates. Although he might not have played that many games recently - what a person and player, massive respect for him. I'd love it if he'd stay and retire at Chelsea. -
He's done well considering the situation of players, support and packed schedule. Good job Rafa and good luck where ever your future takes you, shame Chelsea-Benitez was a mis-fit from day one. He is a great coach though.

For Christ sake, have some faith in our players. Blue to win it, Come on! -
I'm saying as much as people here would like to think that they know more than Benitez - they don't even have 5% (and that's being generous) of the footballing knowledge he has, there's a reason he has been a manager of Valencia, Liverpool and Chelsea while we're here on the Internet typing ANONYMOUSLY. Voicing opinion is of course needed and welcome but I'm saying we don't have the slightest background info nor reason why he chose to do those moves, and never will. We can only speculate - or commence in an all out hate war on the Internet like some. In my opinion he has done fine considering how bad things could have already been. At the moment we're in contention to win EL and are in a good position to finish 3rd, all in our own hands. It'd be deluded to think any manager would have won most of the competitions we were in when you considering our squad depth, injuries, AFCON, managerial situation, fan "support", media attention, hangover from CL glory and so on. But hey - just voicing my opinion, like you said.

Would love to see the excuses from people like you when the new manager hits a rough patch. So, so many E-managers here, you don't know what's behind his decisions not to sub someone in, it might be a minor injury, it might be bad form/attitude shown in training and so on. Think outside the box, behind a LCD screen we all think we could do better, reality is oh so much different.

There's a few around, namely Buffon, Casillas and not so long ago Cesar.. Cech is an authority and been around a long time, why not. But I get your point though, good to have captain running up and down the pitch

Amazing! If you want quality humour, go read and compare Spurs and Arsenal forums pre and post match comments

It isn't about Mikel anymore for those critics, they just want to slate Benitez for everything and anything.
-
Hazard and Mikel not on the bench, probably injury and you blame Benitez? Grow up, hilarious some of you

He's just pointing out what kind of rumors there are making rounds in papers, he doesn't mean it as if any of those are surely happening. Read the first sentence of that paragraph
-
In all fairness, he wasn't the weak link and hasn't been so for a good amount of games. He wasn't brilliant but not bad either, alright performance, unlucky not to score 2.
-
How was the a penalty? Also had a feeling Luiz would score the free kick, AMAZING. Both teams wasted alot of chances but we deserved it and it's deserved with a capital D!
-
I'd go with that exact lineup. Is Cole back from injury?
-
Atleast two scandalous decisions by the ref. Agüero should have been sent off and it was a penalty, clumsy by Kompany. Clear as daylight. Having said that we barely deserved more from this game. Drawing 2-2 would be flattering for us if you look at the first half performance, we weren't even close to as good as City in that period. Second half was better but again, City had the edge. We couldn't control neither Toure or Tevez. Our midfield is leaking, players are tired. I'm proud of them not to give up at 2-0 down, well done. Torres made instant impact and was lively thoughout, what a goal by Ba yet again, but other than that he was quite invisible or ineffective. Stupid time to drop out, would have rather dropped out a few rounds back then, would have saved two replays and now this, but that's football. Europa League and top4, focus on those two... KTBFFH

They were the better team, face it. Some decisions perhaps should have been made differently by the ref but ultimately you're the smith of your own luck. We didn't show up in the first half. Give credit to our team, we've played FIFTEEN games more than City this season already. That's alot. Well done Chels, can't win them all. Torres was fantastic

Ok perhaps I'm being too harsh, just looks a bit flat for me, design wise nothing to say though, just a bit flat
-
Looks rubbish, as does this years kit. I liked the Champions League winning kit, very nice broad stripes on shoulders...
-
Great teamplay and finish for the 3rd goal
-
I'm not saying you HAVE to, I'm saying it's good to avoid pointless arguments, especially at this level

If it was Rubin defender instead of JT, we'd be praising the good call, matter of perspective. If that wasn't hand ball, what is? I respect your view on this but honestly I've made my mind up, life goes on
