Happy birthday Josh

Im well aware of all of that but we are the best equiped to beat them than anyone. It will be tough and they are the best team in the world but i would much rather get them than Madrid, because Jose knows exacly how our players tick and he will most likely frustrate us AGAIN. Are we better than Barcelona? no Do we have the strengh and the character to beat them? absolutely
-
ahh right is that 5 yellows for a ban thing ditched for good or will it be back for the 1st half of next season?
-
I really cannot get my head around that rule sheet thing LDN Blue posted haha

I dont see the massive fear of getting Barcelona in the knockout rounds of the champions league. I tell you now i would much rather get the Catalans than Real Madrid (infact Madrid are the only team im shit scared of Chelsea getting because of the Jose factor). Barcelona HATE playing against phisical teams that get in their faces, we will do that and we proved at the Camp Nou in 2009 that they aint as hard to stop as some people like to think. At the Bridge they will try and work their way through us which will give us space to exploit on the counter attack and lets be honest if it werent for that norweigen ref and Drogba's poor finishing we would have THRASHED Barcelona that night. Plus dont rule out the strong motivation Torres will have to do over basically the bulk of his international team mates, would he want to go to the next Spain match having to face up to most of the players that knocked him out of the Champions League? not a chance in hell. All the players will be gagging to undo the injustice of 2 years back they will be fired up for this game like no other and i think we have a much stronger chance of doing the catalans over than the guys in Madrid. Barca are without question an amazing team but un-beatable ? dont make me laugh

There is no way we can stick to 4-4-2 for this one, we have to go back to type. Mikel in general has got an awesome record against Man.Utd, stick him there and get him to intercept and spray passes, im torn between, Lampard and Essien in the middle, Anelka and Florent out wide, Fernando up front and back 5 of Cech-Brana-Luiz-Terry-Cole. Its a MUST win for me.

that was a nervous game, i nearly had a heart attack when Angel missed a late sitter.

Mine was the 5-0 league cup win at Highbury. My Dad (who is a gooner) spent about 4 years trying to change me from a blue to a gooner, he took me to this game hoping to change my mind and he also took me to another Arsenal - Chelsea game at the Bridge which Arsenal even won (the sickening Kanu hat-trick) and that didnt work. Ive only been to about 7/8 games so far because its very expensive to go (planning to go to the Wigan or Birmingham game in April) but never fail to watch my beloved club when i can. Ive also been on a stadium tour twice. If i ever win a couple of grand + on a scratch card or something else a Chelsea season ticket will be the 1st thing on my list Other notable games i went to was the 1-0 home win to Villa in 03 when Hasslebaink scored, 1-1 at Villa Park during the 01/02 season, 1-1 to Brum in 05, 1-0 Pompey 07 1-0 to Boro in 08 and 4-1 to Everton in 03 (Zola's last ever Chelsea goal).

Selling Mikel will betray all common sense. Yes ok he may have been preety average the past 2 months but he could be our DM of the next decade, he is one of our few players that can pass from tight spaces and his pass rate is over 95%. He was one of the key men in securing 6/6 over the "big 4" last campaign (especially at Old Toilet and in both Arsenal games) it will be criminal if he does not start tommorow night. Drogba i love him as much as the next man but he cant start week in week out forever and unless he accepts and Insaghi style role (which given the way he reacted at Fullham and Copenhagen it dont look likely) i think its time to move on as a Chelsea legend, Scholes still plays once a week for Utd at 36 and i cant see why Lamps cant do the same for Chelsea, same with Terry. Malouda i think it will depend on how he ends the season, if he ends it like last i think he will stay if he carries on like he has in the last few months i personally think he will be the 1st out of the door. Hilario is out of contract this summer aint he? if thats the case i think its almost certain he will go, Delac can come in his place.

I still voted for Osgood

GK Cech RB Petrescu CB Terry CB Desailly LB Cole W Nevin CM Lampard CM Makelele W Rooben ST Zola ST Drogba Talk Chelsea's all time Chelsea XL What do you think? how many of your choices got in?
-
I think its time for graduall change over with JT and Lamps roles gradully slowing down and Drogba possibly leaving. I think our potential new spine is Cech/Delac-Luiz-Ramires-Sturridge. Will need time and a bit of patience lets hope we get it right.
-
I know its unlikely but lets just say for arguments sake he returns next season and we .... Win the quad he scores 47 goals in 56 games including the winner in all 3 finals and the goal that won us the league at the Emirates. Would you care if he does fuck all else apart from scoring?
-
It was an accident but regardless what the fuck was he doing with a air rifle in Cobham. I dont like to think of it but what if it hit this Tom lads head or mid chest? aint even worth thinking about because there would have only been 1 outcome and he should have checked if it was loaded. Get well soon Tom.
-
Yes but look at Van Nisseroy for example, he is gready rarely passes but scores near enough evrey time he walks on to the pitch, he is as good as anyone when it comes to scoring goals, which is an attackers job. I remember once for Utd he done fuck all having one of the worst game ive ever seen from a single player then popped up with a 10 minute hatrick or something ludicris like that. Against us in 03/04 during the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford i didnt notice he was playing until he popped up in the 77th minute to level. In the last few weeks ive lost count of the amount off passes players have made when a shot was on, its what we need someone that will take a shot when others wont. Id rather a greedy centre forward with a RVN stricke rate than a "passer" with a rate of like 1 in 5.
-
He can be as greedy as he likes if he gets a goal nearly evrey game

Arsenal will falter when the games come thick and fast and the buisness end comes in. How will they cope when they have to start relying on Squallacci, Eboue, Denilson, Diaby and Bentner. They aint got that big/good a squad as they like to believe and i still dont think finishing above them is impossible, Utd even if they do lose all 3 games against the "big 4" they will still win it, Fergie will get the right results elsewhere and Arsenal will fuck silly games up like before.
-
Sinclair had chances but never really took them. Cork i think could be a valuble squad player for us as he can play in loads of diffrent positions.

R.I.P

Petr Cech 7 - Could have had a picnic at times but did well when called upon. Jose Bosingwa 6 - Misplaced a few passes but rarely troubled at the back Branislav Ivanovic 7 - Solid and unspectacular but it will do. John Terry 7 - read Ivan Ashely Cole 6 - read Ivan Ramires 7 - Getting better with evrey passing game Micheal Essien 7 - A glimpse of the old Essien tonight. Frank Lampard 6 - Needs more time to get back to his best, shooting still a bit wayward although good pass for the 2nd. Florent Malouda 6 - Better but still along way off the Malouda that ended last season and started this. Nicolas Anelka 9 - Great movement and 2 good finishes to match. Fernando Torres 7 - much much better from the spaniard some good movement 4 shots on target out of 6 aint bad and if he carries on its only a matter of time before he is banging them in for fun. SUBS Drogba 5 Zhirkov 5 Kalou N/A All in all much much better, more rythm and urgency and if we carry on like that in the league we are laughing right into the top 4 with ease. KTBFFH

He seems to say someone turned up who should not have, dont take a genius to work out who he is refering to. On a side note why does evrey-one have to pine after Jose evrey time were in a "bad moment", it was the same shit Febuary/March last season after a couple of bad results, in the summer things were going well so there was no talk now were on a bad run again evrey one is crying after Jose. Ill always love Jose but this is a bit OTT he has been gone nearly 4 fucking years now. To answer the question i think he will come back but not straight away he will try out a few more "projects" before coming to us for his last club role before Portugal i think (hopefully after Carlo does a 10-15 year stint here). Lets quit the Jose talk and get behind Carlo. KTBFFH

I still cant get around what happened with Del Horno. He arrived as a goalscoring LB then something happened.

Whats the point ofg sacking managers after bad runs it will get us nowhere, we need stability.
