I saw last season coming a mile off. There were a few signs in the double season that this team was at the beginning of the end, the storming end to get the double papered over those cracks. But even going into 10/11 i felt something wasn't right, even in those 'title rebound' games early on we weren't as good as the scoreline's suggested.

Fantastic bit of business from whoever was responsible for this deal. He has shown fantastic potential in previous season's but this season has gone off the boil a bit, perfect time to pounce at a cheap price. If we can't get the best out of him then he will probably get sold on at a similar price to what we brought him in with but if he performs and shine's with us then we have a bargain.

While these performances for us are great to see, on the other side it makes me incredibly frustrated with the dross we have had to endure for most of the last 2 season's knowing what this team are capable off. I woke up just in time and tuned in as Sturridge was celebrating his goal, it was one of those games were i knew from about the 10th minute we were going to hammer them, it had the same feeling the first half against Blackpool did last season at home, and it proved that way. I was a bit suprised with RDM's team selection however i thought with Newcastle on Wednesday then Liverpool in the cup on Saturday, Cole and Lamps would have been rested but i guess they will be on Wednesday now. One point about Bosingwa, has he been a centre half all along? he is fantastic there yet rubbish in his "natural" position, maybe just maybe he might have saved his Chelsea career as a 4th choice centre back.

Not even any point wasting our time on him in the summer, Levy will never sell to us and i hope we don't ever do business with that club under any circumstances. The time to get him would have been 2008, but we thought a 30 year old Deco was the better option.

Think we need to stay grounded with Nando. Don't get me wrong im delighted he has started scoring now and his hat-trick today will do him the world of good, but im still worried that one shite performance will put him back to square one. If he plays against Liverpool at Wembley and especially Anfield and comes out of both better than ever, then we might end up seeing the best of him next campaign.

If we win in Munich it will make our need for a overhaul even more desperate. Remember last season when we were off the back of the double (PL and FA Cup) the season before, the players were lazy, un-motivated, well fed with 2 medal's around their neck not long ago. Should we triumph in Munich we will have the same problem's Inter had if not worse so it's vital we overhaul the "ageing" stars if that's the case because they will have nothing left to prove if they win this.
