TBF last summer there was the excuse that he had to settle in to London, get use to a new style of play, hasnt had a full break for 3 years new home and all that, It was his 2nd goal drought that made me doubt him and think what is he doing. He has shown enough to be given one last season to turn this around but we have back up options in Danny and hopefully Hulk but luckily even if Torres doesn't perform we have goals all over the pitch and have for years, we won our 2 title's under Jose without a proper in form forward.
-
Torres has no mental strength, look at Ashley Cole for example, he relishes trips to the Emirates and the abuse he gets makes him perform, with Torres against Liverpool it's the opposite.
-
Because we spent £100m on him (contract and transfer fee), so unless we get a huge offer, were stuck with him.
-
Is LDN coming back with his London Royals team, they have suffered since he has become inactive and will almost certainly go down if he doesn't return. Not to mention we will loose yet another good manager in the league's.
-
As i have said before i don't buy this manager should get full control over transfer's. If you took over a club with Kenny Dalglish or Rafa Benitez incharge with their record would you be happy to hand them over £150m and tell them to sign who they like?
-
It is the right thing to do, after winning the CL getting a long contract might make Robbie and Eddie complacent in a way, this way they will motivated to keep improving themself's and the team with the reward off a long contract at the end and potentially build a legacy here.
-
Harry Redknapp. I have a better grasp of Chinese than he does on tactics and someone seriously needs to give the guy media training.
-
Id hate to think how shit he is for Ajax then.
-
But does it make sense keeping Malouda but letting go Kalou, if one was going to stay out of the 2 it should have been Kalou.
-
Had a bit of a shocker today, lucky to get away with a 1-0 win, 2nd leg will be interesting.
-
Kalou has had 7 managers in his time at Chelsea, 6 saw him as a vital member of the squad and the one that didn't is widely regarded by lots as Chelsea's worst manager in a long time. But ofcourse we know better. Not saying he is world class, he is not but if he is as bad as most people claim he is, then Jose, Hiddink and Carlo should be getting just as much stick for signing him (Jose), playing him often (Hiddink) and keeping him (Carlo).

lol im guessing we dodged a bullet with Drenthe then. Thanks for the link ill have a read of that soon, good speaking to you im guessing ill see you around the forum quite a lot now -
tbh the board must know who the new manager is and he must have had a say in it. I remember in 2008 we signed Bosingwa just before his International boss Scolari was appointed, that is just too much of a coincidence they must have already agreed a deal in principle with Scolari before the announcement and they agreed to get Bosingwa.

Yeah personally i think you are the fav's next season for the CL, and i hope Jose stays with you because its clear Roman won't take him back and the thought of him at City scares the crap out of me. He broke numerous records for us too, least goal's conceded, most points, most clean sheets, consecutive wins, consecutive clean sheets (although the later has since been broken by Man.Utd). He also broke the Arsenal hoodoo as we were on a 9 year league streak against them without a win before Jose took over and since then apart from the last year we have in general owned the Gooners On a side note what happened to Royston Drenthe when he played for you (random i know ) i remember the U21 championship in 2007 and thought he was the next big thing, was gutted when you beat us to his signing, was he mismanaged or just he couldn't handle the hype? -

Ok put in Jose in that swap aswell, we will try and tempt Avram or AVB your way in return Yeah you were brilliant in La Liga last season, joy to watch, hopefully this put's an end to the tedious myth that people claim Mourinho doesn't know how to get his teams playing great football because he clearly does. -
Gotze and Hazard are the 2 upcoming talents in world football, im just glad we have one of them.

Welcome I prefer Madrid to Barca if that helps I do like Madrid although i must admit i was glad when Bayern knocked you out because in a CL final you would have smashed us. Im glad you pipped Barca to the league however, i have a Barca fan (who is also Tottenham fan) as a mate and the stick he is getting at the moment is incredible one question tho, Malouda's is available this summer, £30m plus Ronaldo, Sahin and Ozil and he's yours -
It does my head in when Modric's goal and assist's stats are used to 'prove' he isn't that great a player like FFS he isn't Mata, Silva or Van Der Vaart goals and assist's aren't his main area. He dictates the play from deep, spraying balls around, taking players out of the game there-fore making space for the forward players to get their assist's then goals. He is the vital link from midfield to attack, if Spurs lose him they are in serious trouble. If Modric ever plays for us then expect lots of Modric to Mata to (insert goalscorers name here).

Going to be sink or swim time last season. Ive always supported Torres like i support any Chelsea player but i have criticized him at points (there's a difference between supporting players and making numerous excuses for him). I supported Bosingwa when he was with us but i still thought he was bad. Come on Nando, prove me wrong and get back to your best with us.

Di Matteo has to atleast get a 1 year rolling contract for numerous reason's. Think of the extreme pressure a new manager will be under taking over the Champions of Europe? Rafa crumbled under that pressure at Inter and was gone by new year, whoever took over at Porto after Mourinho suffered a similar fate, if RDM goes the new guy coming in will know that unless he wins the PL and CL double at the least, then he can't top what RDM did. What's also worth considering is Roman has searched the globe for a perfect manager who can win the CL for Chelsea, yet the man who delivers it is our assistant to AVB who was chucked in until the end of the season because Hiddink took the Anzhi job the week before. Also despite the critics in the CL, Robbie can and has got us playing good football (Tottenham, Napoli, Leicester, QPR prime examples) with Hazard, potentially Hulk and maybe more coming in he can only carry on that. Robbie is a Chelsea boy too, what he can offer us which a lot of manager's can't is the passion of the love he has for this club and his full commitment, same with Eddie. He also has the players on side, now remember the struggles Grant and Scolari went through after Jose's departure, a manager coming in straight after a manager that was loved by the players left, also adds to the pressure. With everything that has gone on, im not one that likes to get superstitious in all the talking about fate, but Roman delays sacking AVB on the hope results will change, he eventually does it a week after Hiddink (who would have surely been drafted in if a free agent) got the Anzhi job, and then RDM wins us the FA Cup and Champions League, years of looking for the manager to do it, a Chelsea legend does it after getting the job by default originally, any one else got the feeling fate is trying to give Roman a nudge? ( i could be completely wrong).

Almost as funny as the Liverpool fans saying Downing is a better signing than Mata.
-
Are you referring to West Ham? I hardly think Sam Allardyce will build a team around a player like Kakuta.
-
That shows just how much Dalglish fucked up.
-
He will end up revealing his conversations with Roman in a press conference word of word. Pick his 13 favorite players, run them to the ground, alienate and freeze out decent squad players before eventually loaning them out. Play Lampard every game unless he is injured or suspended. Have i forgot to mention his shite grasp of tactics? us playing Barca or Madrid under his management isn't even worth thinking about.
