Keepers are knowing where he puts the pens now, Lampard unless he changes tact will have to be so accurate in his pens from now on.

Most CFC fans are both. Im critical of his performances since joining the club but it doesn't mean i don't support him. Ofcourse i want him to come back to form and do well, but not at the expense of Chelsea doing the same. If it came to a choice of Torres or Chelsea, then there is only one winner.

Now you mention that, it makes a lot of sense.

It annoys me when i see we should not sign a forward because it will put Torres's nose out of joint, we should have brought one in this summer even if Torres was on top form. Look at United, Rooney and Welbeck formed a promising partnership last season, didn't stop Fergie going out and splashing on RVP and furthermore Rooney could not hide his exictement about RVP coming. Barca after Three league title's in a row look to bring in Fabregas despite having a settled midfield trio of Busquets, Xavi and Iniesta. Xavi, the player who was at the time in the most danger of losing his place with Cesc coming in (when you consider age and style of play) was one of the biggest backers to try and get Fabregas in. If we ever in the future have a chance to bring in someone of the calibre of Falcao or Cavani then we should jump at the opportunity regardless of the form off our current forwards, it is improving team's when you are on top, that keeps top teams at the top.

What winning nothing and losing them to bigger and better things before they reach they peak? no thanks.

I have just got back from a taster weekend in Leeds to see if im ready to go abroad for 10 weeks in either Tanzania, Borneo or Costa Rica. Im going to be told in a few days whether i have done enough to get a place on the expedition next year for 10 weeks. Waiting is horrible, The weekend i have just been on in itself was incredible, never did i think walking nine miles and have no phone signal (especially on a Chelsea match) will be so fun. I thought i would be screwing but in all honesty i never even thought about the result until i got back and watched it back like it was live, not a nice experience. Having said that i don't even think finding out the score would have ruined my weekend like it usually does. I meet loads of sound new people all across the country (from Middles-borough to Essex) and i miss being up there already, could have done it for a week. I done something similar in 2010 which was working in a Bulgarian orphanage for 2 weeks and that was great, god knows how good 10 weeks away will be, it's not that im worried about, its coming back will be horrible. Not going to lie there will be tough times, missing home, food may be quite honestly crap but the pro's do outweigh the cons by atleast 10:1. If you are not doing much at the moment and are looking for something to do which will look great i strongly reccomend this. Will be hard but you can look back in a few years thinking wow. http://www.raleighin...CFeTLtAodnhEAXQ EDIT: you have to be under 25 to go as a young person but over 25 you could maybe go as an adult volunteer.

The irony with Quaresma is he would have been usefull in 10/11 and 11/12

smash or pass?

For me nothing beats a Spurs fan calling Luiz a liability then calling Assou Ekotto an "outstanding young defender" two minutes later.

@Blue-in-me-Veins, Its ok when your winning easy, wait until your 1 goal up with about 20 minutes to go in a title decider and it keeps flashing for the opposition i haven't done it since that day.
-
Just goes to show, don't write off a player when he doesn't make an appearance at home to Wolves at 18 years old. If their good and patient enough they will make it.
-
Out of interest who here uses the match simulation and who jumps straight to the match report? I can never use the simulation since last season's title decider i always get too tempted to find out the result straight away
-
Terrible start but always planned a transition this season, hench starting a 16 year old forward twice and not giving out a win bonus at all so far.
-
Usually i am against these type of moves, but right now i think this would be a fantastic idea. He is one of those few players that inspires you through his presence alone and he can play defensive midfield, it was no coincidence we went mad on the goals in 2010 when he played there. One year deal, what can go wrong? and maybe just maybe he can win the trophy that has eluded him all his career, while helping us making history by being the first side in donkey's years to retain it
-
Yes under usual circumstances i would not even consider such a move, but we already spent £80m and i think it was clear we weren't spending any more this term and Sahin would have solved so many short term issue's. We could have had him for a season, then make the double pivot top priority next summer.

I was genuinely gutted when i heard on the way back from my trip last night he was going. I was talking to the guy who picked me up at the station and gave me a lift home about every thing that went on football wise this weekend, after finding out about the 4-1 i asked about deadline day was told Yossi went to West Ham on loan then Real have got Essien on loan (surprised but not too downbeat as he hasn't been the same for a while) then i said ok not too bad about Essien as he was not as good as he use to be and we still have Meireles as a squad option then he was like oh no i forgot about Meireles, he's off to Turkey, my first thought was fuck we are stuck with Mikel and Lampard in the double pivot all season. What did bewilder me about the Essien loan was, if he was going on loan to Madrid, then why on earth didn't we do a swap loan which included Sahin, how we could do with him in the 2 right now.

Pique and Puyol share your sentiments.
-
Oscar should not start this game. If you take the hostility out then maybe, but giving Oscar his first start at Loftus Road will end in tears, it will be hard enough for Hazard, heck even Mata shit himself there in this corresponding fixture last season.
-
Its easy to say based on the first three games but eventually every member of the squad will be needed throughout the season. Belletti for example was never a great player, but would have come in handy in 2010/2011 when Ivan was shoved in the centre. Maybe the Malouda and at a push Benayoun departing are understandable, but our double pivot is light as it is, now after Lampard and Mikel we literally only have Romeu, unless RDM's plan is to play Ramires there or maybe even utilize Oscar in a Modric lite role.

Looking at the players he has had in 15 years at Arsenal, 3 PL titles and 4 FA Cup's is massively underachieving. Not to mention only getting past the CL quarter's twice.

Assuming Friedel makes way for Lloris at some point this campaign, Tottenham will have three former Premier League number 1's sitting out.
