  1. It was never a contest, i saw a lot of Bertrand in his Reading days and it was clear even then he was better than PVA. We just got a bit excited because of PVA's flair and goals, in terms of defending, it was never a contest. Having said that we will need back up/competition to Ryan when Cole leaves, which is where PVA might come back in.
  2. Is there a Confederation's Cup next summer? Im not too sure if his participation in the Olympics will be a problem this season as he was basically in his home town so he could stay in his own bed and all that, but if he gets called up to the CC then there's the small matter of the World Cup the year after then it could all become an issue.
  3. Ferreira is still usefull in terms of experience even more so when you can consider who has left, if we throw away experience we will turn into Arsenal.
  4. There are lots of other things to consider, the club's valuation aswell as the wages their on here, no one will match them.
  5. It not as simple as that, we don't know how Sam's knee will react to playing a full season. Paulo may be not what he use to be but he is a pretty safe option for now. If Hutch knee withstands a full season at Nottingham Forest then he could probably come back next season and replace Paulo (who's contract is up next May).
  6. Another way we can look at it, what happened to the last defender we sent there?
  7. Ashley Cole ‏@TheRealAC3 Well done england team good win, and well done @ryanbertrand3 gotta watch my back now his on my toes #IDONTWANNASITONTHEBENCH lol
  8. Hernandez is a work horse who isn't that good but get's the lucky tap in's, if we wanted that we might aswell have just kept Kalou.
  9. Sometimes you can get 2 in quick succession but it doesn't happen very often. If you want loads of young players in one go use the transfer market. I signed a young 17 year old midfielder for 507 200 3 season's ago when he was 4 rated, now he is worth over 5 million and is 8 rated.
  10. If you ignore someone does that mean they can't comment on any thread you create?
  11. To be fair can you blame him? he is 21 year's old and this is a big move for him, im 21 also and i would certainly go over the pro's and con's and think it through for ever before moving out of my home town let alone to another country.
  12. With this game, Reading on Wednesday and Newcastle Saturday we will need to start rotating early. Terry, Luiz and Cahill IMO should start 2 each. Cahill sitting out Wigan, Terry Reading and Luiz Newcastle. If we get Azpi on time he should play one of the matches too, probably Newcastle. Ryan should start against Reading too. although i have my doubts that Robbie will rest both JT and Cole at the same time.
  13. Fuck that, i never switch formation's on fifa, i get far too comfortable with the one i play to do that.
  14. Im kind off with @Superblue_1986, in the extent it might be too much to change to it this season. Now i have been n the belief that 6th to 1st in one season is too much of a jump, the closest we can win the title imo is 2013/2014. The key to all off our Premier League wins so far has been a change of formation. 2004/2005 we were struggling with the diamond, so Jose reverted to 4-3-3, done something no one saw coming and put Duff and Robben together and they terrorized the league a new one. 2005/2006 After storming away in the first half of the season, the second half we slowed down a bit and at one point United cut the lead at the top from 18 points to 7, teams were finding answer's to the wingplay, so Jose again did something no one saw coming and revert to 4-4-2 with Drogba and Crespo upfront, a move that confused the shit out of everyone. 2009/2010 Carlo brought his preferred diamond to Stamford Bridge and upto November it was working, we were winning games in style and had a 5 point lead at the top, however in December results were going wrong and only kept our place at the top due to United messing up a few results aswell. So in the New Year after clearly knowing the diamond has been found out, back to 4-3-3 and that caused havoc, as we scored 7 goals in a game 3 times and 8 once, on the way to winning the league breaking scoring records. The next season we challenge for the title (which as i said will probably be the season after this one) we will most likely need another big mid season formation change no one see's coming, is this the one that could be utilized?
  15. Chalaboh? Maybe Hutch at a push but Nathaniel is 17, lets not rush through another one.
  16. He won't work in midfield. How many times have we seen a defender good at going forward then he gets put up field and flops completely. Luiz will be no different,
  17. Agree, although i have a feeling he will be brought off the bench in that one and given his full debut in Monaco.
  18. With Reading on Tuesday then Newcastle Saturday, we will need to rotate a bit.
  19. Wasn't the best game but for sure he was better than JT.
  20. A good performance against Wigan next week will do his confidence no harm. For some reason i have images on him doing a Crespo last minute
  21. There may be hope yet, if Torres fails to shine and Roman can't get a WC forward in January, what's to say he doesn't press the panic button and tries to get Didier back on loan? stranger things have happened
