  1. Exactly, we have been treated to some superb performances this season where the potential of this team is there for all to see, but we can't let experience go replace them with under 23's and expect any more than what we have got this season it's pure fantasy. I challenge someone to say (honestly) they felt better about the future of this club in 2010/2011 say when we lost to Wolves than what they do now.
  2. This season is not the worst in the Roman era, not even close compared to 10/11.
  3. He needs a couple of season's to adapt like @Kojo, said. Personally i think his ceiling is higher than both Mata and Hazard's, but he needs time and patience to get anywhere near there.
  4. Cahill and Luiz didn't even work in Munich, we were saved by the best goalkeeping performance i have ever seen. Terry and Luiz is our most solid partnership, closely followed by Luiz and Ivanovic.
  5. We need to take the game to City, the difference in our games between City and United is alarming. Why are we so scared of City compared to United? is it mental or something?
  6. Torres has a chance to do a Bosingwa and finish a torrid Chelsea career on a high by helping us win a couple of trophies.
  7. I was thinking that, would have made sense to keep Newton there, especially as he stayed at the club anyway.
  8. After spending the last few days catching up on matches when i was away and looking at some match reports from those games on here, i am a bit surprised to see some pessimism about our long term future. Results have been inconsistent this season, after letting experience go and signing all under 23's players in the summer, it is too be expected that the results will not be all there. One game we will perform below par at home to QPR then we will go to one of the hardest ground's in the country like The Brittania and smash Stoke all over the pitch. The best we could have hoped for this season was 3rd, with a couple of cups on the side, we have a big chance of doing just that now which will set us up nicely for next season and beyond. Make no mistake, the potential of this team is huge, our 8-0 win over Villa, 4-0 win over Stoke, the first half against Arsenal at home and the way we swarmed all over United in both FA Cup games are the prime examples of just how great this group can become. This is not 2010/2011, were we were stagnating with ageing players, we are a young team with inconsistencies and will only get better. You could say, well Arsenal said they had a great young team that never materialized and yes that is true but Arsenal used that line for 5-6 years, we will need to see genuine progression in the squad starting in the summer. But all we need is a bit more balance in the side, Khedira would be the perfect signing if the rum-ours he wants to follow Mourinho is true, not to mention the outstanding players we have out on loan. This season has been frustrating with inconsistent results and performance, but aslong as we get it right this summer and beyond we will be treated to an unbelievable team for many years to come.
  9. Got what i wanted out of tonights game, qualification and we have our trio fresh(ish) for Sunday.
  10. Thanks, i went Latin America for two and a half months.
  11. First half season 17 game goal drought. First full season 24 game goal drought. This season 2 months with one goal against a league one side. How their is still excuses running i will never know, he isn't back and he never will be. He might have burst's off semi good form every now and again (like he is right now) but he won't ever be good enough again, period.
  12. Don't worry, Madrid will beat Barca, they have done it twice already this year.
  13. We will win in Old Trafford, no doubt about it.
  14. I think term means about changing managers all the time, City want managerial stability (almost for the sake of it) which we should not complain about, Mancini their for the long term suits us down to the ground.
  15. A strong enough team for this. I want to win this competition. It may not be the Champions League but its a trophy and one i want to win.
  16. All Other Markets+1 bet PFA Player of the YearSingles only, G Bale4/9R Van Persie4/1Michu100/1L Suarez10/3J Mata100/1M Fellaini200/1100/1??? are they taking the piss?
  17. He has played 6 games against Arsenal or United since 2009 and scored 8 goals, even if you stick the four games against us in that period its 8 in 10 against three of the best English teams. if he can have such a high rate against that type of opposition, imagine what he would do to the QPR, Villa's and Sunderland's off this world.
  18. Messi would have no problem with the Premier League, if Mata is stocking up on goals and assist's like their's no tommorow can you imagine what Messi would do?
  19. I think Real will win this, their just in their element right now the 20 minutes off madness aside. Their would have walked la liga this year if it wasn't for that, they are better than Barca right now as their showing in the head to heads.
  20. It will be intreging to see how the next couple of years pan out for Courtois. He won't just walse in and take Cech's place, the reason Petr himself did that to Cudicini is because even then he was on another level to the Italian. The romantics will try and claim Carlo was on par but in reality wasn't even close.
  21. Its nothing disrespectful to his previous coaches and clubs.. I didn't see much of Hazard in France but i have seen a lot of his Chelsea games and he has really came into his own since Rafa's arrival.
  22. The media could probably make any player outside Ronaldo, Messi and Falcao look crap if they really wanted too. They gave Drogba a hard time in his first two season's, calling him a flop and waste of money and pow every one else does, where if you looked at everything (injuries, rotation, what he gave to the team overall) Drogba had a very good opening two season's. But because the media said he had a crap pair of season's, he was crap. Take Carvalho as another example, all the media had to do was mention his habit of making silly fouls every now and again, pretend he did it more often that he did and enhance that fact, all off a sudden we will get every single opposition fan and even a significant number of our own support saying he's crap. Unfortunently the media have too much power and until people stop basing their opinions on what they say, they will never stop.
  23. Been catching up on games ive missed over the last day or so and like him or hate him, Benitez has worked wonders with Hazard.
  24. If Mourinho returns. Luiz will be the best defender in the world.
