  1. If Sturridge killed the flow off our game, i wouldn't even want to think of the word Torres does for our play.
  2. Every one will support him in games, doesn't mean we have to blind faith in him, i play for a team were we have a player who can barely control a ball, we support and encourage him but we don't pretend he isn't the worst player in our team by a mile. He can be hard working when he wants to be, but he isn't consistent at it, many, many matches he is invisible, he is mentally weak aswell, he crumbled at Anfield to the chorus of boos, now compare that to the way Ashley Cole gets off on the abuse he gets at The Emirates? When i go to SB i keep a close eye on him, and while he has his moments, all it takes is one moment where he doesn't get a pass to feat, slips over or loses the ball far to easily and he goes into hiding, it happens all to often. Plus his over-all attitude is shocking, while the rest of the team were celebrating being a European champion, he was sulking to the media that he didn't start ahead of Didier Drogba and seeked assurances he would be the main man next season? i mean seriously, after the 18 months he just had, he should have been on his knees to the board begging not to go the same way as Malouda. Then there was his tunnel strop at Loftus Road followed by what (for me) was the straw that broke the camels back, the he didn't care comment. Have i not also mentioned he used the service excuse himself? now you can imagine that coming from his most blinkered fan, but the man himself? If he accepted he hasn't been good enough and did everything he can to change that (like Sheva did) i would have nothing but admiration for him, but he seems to want everything on a plate, i find it hard enough seeing a great player with an ego, let alone a crap one.
  3. Hard working Torres? you mean the one that shrugs his shoulders and barely moves? Id take someone that actually scores goals any day.
  4. He's the one we should give carling cup games and the odd app from the bench this season, in my opinion.
  5. You can't be serious? i would love Torres to all off a sudden replicate his Liverpool form, (something resembling of a footballer even would do), but it's quite clear it will never happen.
  6. Doubt it, would have been interesting to see what Jose would have done with him having said that.
  7. Sturridge and Ba are both better than Torres, that's not saying the pair are great it's showing how crap Torres is if anything. When both those forward's got a consistent run of games last season at their clubs before (in Ba's case) and after (in Danny's case) Chelsea they were both scoring goals for fun, Torres hasnt' done that for a long time.
  8. Even tho i can't stand Barcelona i love Neymar, he is unbelievable, the fact he has doubters astonishes me, he is going to be making people eat some serious humble pie this coming season and beyond. He will be as good as Ronaldo and Messi (bold statement, but in 2007 Copa America i said Messi could be as good as Maradona, 2 years later that was the general opinion). He is gold.
  9. I missed out on meeting him at the London legends cup 2 years ago, got to Craven Cottage and was told that two minutes ago Jimmy and Zola were outside talking and taking autograph's, i felt sick, still do. To make it worse it was a Tottenham fan that broke the news to me.
  10. Imagine, just imagine if we sign Rooney and Unted use that money (and obviously a little bit more) to get Ronaldo back
  11. We do, but it got locked.
  12. Eto'o could also play on the right of the 3 like he did for Inter. Rooney last season whined about getting dropped and having to drop deep for Van Persie, so he's hardly likely to ever accept having to play second fiddle to Lukaku in any way shape or form at any point.
  13. I really hate hearing how Cech hasn't been the same since his head injury it actually winds me up. He had a blip for round about 2009 but ever since 2010 he has been on the top of his game (bar a couple of months under AVB), he single handedly won us the CL in Munich, one of the worst performances in the clubs history turned into one of the best results in the clubs history thanks to this guy.
  14. I dominated a game (possession and chances wise) i lost 3-0 in my previous tenure on this game, if your team can't finish their chances then you get what you deserve.
  15. That's what they said about Falcao
  16. A lot are thinking it's Torres vs Lukaku for starting most games, if we don't get a forward i think it will be more Lukaku vs Ba.
  17. 48 in 48 the season before last Could be worth a shot if the price is right, i suppose.
  18. Not to mention that he is probably the reason the reason we hesitated with other big money moves (ie Cavani), its actually unbelievable, he has fucked us on so many levels.
  19. Im still haunted by losing out on Aguero, the lads fucking amazing and was practically whoring himself to us.
  20. wtf? Are you trying to imply i played any part in you getting banned? that's insane, i was about to write saying you didn't deserve to but then i saw Steve's thread saying you asked to get banned.
  21. I was one of the main one's defending him when we were about to sign him, when he was getting dismissed as "only a Bolton player" i was saying from the start he will be a decent squad player then when it went too far the other way (new captain, like JT in his prime) i bite my tongue for months, it wasn't until someone said he was much better than Luiz (roughly last December) i took the bait. He's never going to be more than a squad player, i don't see the shame in admitting that.
  22. As in get's snapped up by a big club a bit late into his career and shine.
  23. I actually think if a top club got Rickie Lambert, he could do a Diego Milito. Even at Bristol Rovers i knew there was something really special about him.
  24. He already is, there's a reason Barca are prepared to break the bank for him.
  25. Kojo he isn't a scapegoat, we have a right to question his defending for Miller's goal, it was woeful, if Luiz did that this forum would crash. With Cahill it's always one extreme or the other, anti Cahill's call him only a Bolton player, pro Cahill's react by calling him the next JT any time he makes a last ditch challenge or has a half decent game, anti Cahill's react next time he has he has a bad game, rinse and repeat. He's not the perfect defender, which is why he is not first choice, a good squad player, i really hope Mourinho can sort out his tendency to back off and let opponents have free shots. He also has a tendancy to get sold dummies easily (Miller tonight, Gomez in Munich, Gibbs vs Arsenal at home), he has got good passion however i like how he celebrates close shaves (to conceding a goal) like we just scored.
