  1. The Carling Cup is a chance for players who have overlooked so far to force their way into the team. Romeu got a run Premier League starts due to performances in the Carling Cup two years ago, this is a chance for a few players here to do the same.
  2. But, but, but Torres was Premier League proven
  3. All this bleating on the media about Mata not playing is actually demonstrating a massive lack of respect to this lad. Atleast with not playing Mata as much we have a capable replacement. Imagine if we were overlooking Kagawa for Welbeck and Young?
  4. I luckily have a big night planned with mates who either don't like football or don't follow it as much, so i have my escape route sorted just incase.
  5. The members who wanted Moyes at Chelsea? show yourself's
  6. This shows the PL is there for the taking despite us not being "all there" yet. United, well the evidence is there today and City despite today haven't been great all season. This term i think the early 80's or maybe even late 70's points might be enough for the title.
  7. Atleast we are playing a top class player in Mata's place when he doesn't play. Moyes is playing Young, Valencia, Welbeck, Fellaini and Cleverly higher than Nani and Kagawa in the pecking order. That's like us in 11/12 benching Mata and persisting with Kalou, Anelka and Malouda, imagine this forum if that happened? In Gollum i trust.
  8. What Mourinho said in public and what he says behind closed doors are 2 completely different things. He is probably telling our players we are winning it at Anfield
  9. and to think, Aguero was practically offering his signature to us on the plate, but we choose PL proven Torres
  10. On the negative side this is another week of City getting overhyped beyond all extremes.
  11. To expand on the Pogba point, he is the reason i can never take it seriously when our youth policy get's slated and then United's is used as an example of how it should be done.
  12. Paul Pogba would have solved so many problems with this United team. Say what you want about our youth policy but we have never fucked up on the scale United did letting him go.
  13. Guess we will get a better idea on Tuesday.
  14. I find it unbelievable this media propaganda against Luiz, and worse people are still falling for it. He has some flaws to the game but luckily he isn't as bad as they make out. I mean, imagine, just imagine if he gave away a cheap corner that led to a goal like Liverpool did today? Imagine if he threw away a game by slipping like Terry did against Arsenal? Imagine if it was him and not Ivanovic that thrown that tie against Swansea? Imagine if he made a mistake like that Italian defender did against Mexico in the CC where he lost the ball in the area then gave away a pen. Just imagine.
  15. This again. What would you prefer to backward/sideway passes? giving the ball away in dangerous areas.
  16. ------------------Schwarzer--------------------- Azpi--------Luiz----------Kalas------Bertrand ----------Essien----------MVG------------------ Willian-------------KDB--------------------Mata --------------------- Ba---------------------------
  17. So his loan gets confirmed and on the same day Watford win 5-1. Shit timing or what?
  18. I agree he deserves a place in the squad and he would have done ok this season, but we couldn't offer him the week in week out games (yet) that Martinez and Everton can.
  19. The difference between Lukaku and the strikers that have stayed is Lukaku needs nurturing, we need to think what's best for his career in the long haul and when a loan to Everton with a manager with a good youth record came up, then it was obvious that was the best short term solution for him. Eto, Torres and Ba hit their peak a long while ago, they are on the way down so in the grande scheme of things it doesn't matter how good or bad they do this season, the complete opposite is with Lukaku.
  20. Depend what you mean by ready. Ready to be a member of our squad and fighting for his place? absolutely. Ready for a #1 forward role he didn't even have at West Brom? no too sure about that one.
  21. Think outside the box, he wasn't going to play every game with us, he will at Everton, name me one realistic loan he could have got better than that?
  22. i quoted the bit i felt the need to respond too. But either way it's funny how you were never around when Kalou was getting the shit.
  23. I don't want to start this after a good win so this will be my only comment on the matter, but he gets it good compared to what Kalou, Mikel and Malouda had/still have.
  24. Like i said in the Jose thread, he done something at half time because the first half was poor, but the second was superb. Defense was good apart from that chance for Bent, Cech was there when we needed him, Ramires few poor passes but his athleticism is a huge asset for us, Hazard better and Oscar? wow, Mata has got a fight on his hand. As for the forwards, Eto'o did well, get's involved in the play and had the shot saved by Stockdale which Oscar put in and Torres is looking like something that resembles a player again, i don't want to jinx because he has built up to let down so many times but maybe, just maybe he can be a good squad player this season. Great goal for Mikel too, finally got a PL goal. 3 points, thankyou very much!!
  25. The first half was like what we witnessed the last few season's, but Jose done something at half time to change that and the second half we were superb. That's the difference between Jose and other manager's, under any one else the 2nd half would have been just as bad and the game would have ended 0-0. After WHL next week we would have played 3 of last season's top 6 away already, if we can escape from next weekend 3-4 points off the top, then we are in an great position.
