Depend what you mean by ready. Ready to be a member of our squad and fighting for his place? absolutely. Ready for a #1 forward role he didn't even have at West Brom? no too sure about that one.
-
Think outside the box, he wasn't going to play every game with us, he will at Everton, name me one realistic loan he could have got better than that?
-
i quoted the bit i felt the need to respond too. But either way it's funny how you were never around when Kalou was getting the shit.
-
I don't want to start this after a good win so this will be my only comment on the matter, but he gets it good compared to what Kalou, Mikel and Malouda had/still have.
-
Like i said in the Jose thread, he done something at half time because the first half was poor, but the second was superb. Defense was good apart from that chance for Bent, Cech was there when we needed him, Ramires few poor passes but his athleticism is a huge asset for us, Hazard better and Oscar? wow, Mata has got a fight on his hand. As for the forwards, Eto'o did well, get's involved in the play and had the shot saved by Stockdale which Oscar put in and Torres is looking like something that resembles a player again, i don't want to jinx because he has built up to let down so many times but maybe, just maybe he can be a good squad player this season. Great goal for Mikel too, finally got a PL goal. 3 points, thankyou very much!!
-
The first half was like what we witnessed the last few season's, but Jose done something at half time to change that and the second half we were superb. That's the difference between Jose and other manager's, under any one else the 2nd half would have been just as bad and the game would have ended 0-0. After WHL next week we would have played 3 of last season's top 6 away already, if we can escape from next weekend 3-4 points off the top, then we are in an great position.
-
Even in the last two games, i have seen a lot more from Eto'o than what Torres usually "gives" us.
-
Regarding Azpilicueta he didn't get a start outside of the Carling Cup until November last season and turned out to be one of our best players. It's too early to draw conclusions.
-
Two and a half years in Torres case.
-
Chelsea FC > any individual.
-
We moan when their's no competition, we moan when their is. Their is 5 spaces for the 6 AM's in the 18, against Bayern KDB missed out, on Wednesday Schurrle did and today Mata does. just be glad our squad is strong enough to be able to do this.
-
That is why KDB is not going to play regularly until he can shows he good enough and forces his way in. I said on the deadline day i don't think the club planned to loan him out, it was only when a top 6 club who have a manager with a good youth record came in he considered it.
-
We simply cannot use Lukaku's stats at West Brom to say if he will do well here or not. Forsell got 17 goals on loan at Birmingham, just to put a bit of perspective on things.
-
I was on about Ivanovic being excellent as a right back under Ancelotti, not Bosingwa. I thought Bos was crap even under Scolari when he was getting more plaudits than there is crocodiles in the nile.
-
That's part of the challenge, if he wants to eventually make it with Chelsea, then getting in the team ahead of one of those two should be the mere start of his career path.
-
Maybe in his interim spell, but things were hardly rosy when he got the job full time.
-
He was top class at right back under Ancelotti, probably the best in the whole league. It baffles me how its rarely acknowledged.
-
How exactly? the trio may look nice on the eye, but there is far too much imbalance when those play together.
-
Maybe last season, but finishing 6th in 2012 went much deeper than just not having a forward and a DM.
-
With David Moyes as manager, i would say almost certainly.
-
Actually Bertrand wasn't very good in the Champions League final, it wasn't just him tho, the whole team bar Cech were awful, Bayern had a beyond stupid number of chances, that doesn't happen if your outfield players are playing well. Yes they showed great character and determination that night, but when all said and done, Cech saved us from a royal hammering.
-
Sunderland and Newcastle created shit loads of chances against them at home, so at the very least we should do the same regardless off who plays. If we doesn't their is something seriously wrong and that not even i will be be able to put a positive spin on. I think in time Willian is going to become an asset in the match winning regard.
-
Maybe not so much these days, but Ivanovic was brilliant as a right back under Ancelotti. Drogba, Malouda and Lampard (rightly) get showered with plaudits for that season, but Ivanovic at right back instead of Bosingwa was also a big factor to us winning it too.
-
Probably something on the lines off anyone can do it in that Brazil team when their playing in their home country, completely neglecting the fact that being the host's hikes the pressure up ten fold. It happens all over football (comments without thinking outside the box) another example Pep getting it easy at Barca, again not mentioning the fact the season before he took over the team finished 3rd, 20 points behind the Champions (even 10 behind Villareal) and a group full of ego's. That's not the worse, there's the myth's about Jose, but ill be here all night if i started breaking those down.

Get him to curl his hair and kick the shit out Rooney, that will do the trick.
