  1. It's going to take more than a few games in two and a half years to convince me, what about Old Trafford when every time he touched the ball led to a United counter attack?
  2. @, Also the law of average's were going to draw us with them at some point, we have only had them in cup's twice in the last 9 years, and one of them was a final.
  3. ffs, either way i fancy our chances, especially with Jose record against them. That's assuming they even go through now.
  4. Suarez is a top player, but i actually reckon Liverpool's system works better without him.
  5. It's the same with Courtois, people think we should loan him to a mid table PL side to "adapt" to the league He is wanted by top clubs in the world and some want to loan him to the likes of Fulham because he isn't "PL proven"
  6. He was, but Oscar is now, deal with it.
  7. He was brought to score goals against high caliber opposition nearly every time he has faced them, so far he was scored once each against Barcelona (when all their players were almost in our penalty area), Arsenal, Man.Utd and Bayern. When you invest that highly in a player you expect goals against those teams pretty regularly.
  8. This lad couldn't get a game at Yeovil and his having a dig at the club, oh dear.
  9. Hummels and Luiz won't work, their too similar, Luiz and Subotic would be the perfect defensive partnership.
  10. I just cannot understand this agenda against him in this country, i really can't. All through the second half the commentators kept talking about his reckless side and how he may be suited better out of defense at every fucking opportunity, it's not just them all of them do it, their paid to have an opinion but their all fucking sheep at the end of the day. Atleast 4 times they brought up the fact he was at fault for the Everton goal, yes he was, but so were other players, yet it's just Luiz. He's not perfect, ofcourse not, but it's just a tiresome cycle, he does an action that he could have done better in, within seconds its "well, its always been said that he would be more suited to midfield" and not one pundit or commentator has really earned their money by standing up and explaining why that's all a load of bollox, not even Gary Neville. Mat Hummels for example last season made some silly blunders (check Ronaldo's goal in Dortmund) but his name wasn't mentioned once in any form of critique. I have seen defenders make shocking mistake's that Luiz has never done, yet nothing a little 2 second mention that he should have done better than it's over. Take the game against Arsenal at The Emirates last season prime example, Luiz and Terry both back off Gervinho, yet who does Souness nail at half time? the second half Luiz and Ivan had a mix up, the commentator's words "mix up there by Ivanovic and especially Luiz", then when he got subbed in that second half because of an knock, the commentator was trying to make out he was faking it to hide embarrassment it's cringeworthy. Ofcourse the fact that Arsenal started peppering our goal as soon as he was subbed off was conveniently ignored. I remember in the confederation's cup, Lawrenson out of the blue brought up Luiz when he was suppose to be previewing Spain vs Uraguay Another time on MOTD (think it was after Wolves away under AVB) Hansen picked out Bosingwa and analysed how he is a liability (fair enough, that was long overdue) and backed his point up with on screen footage, but just before that he couldn't resist a little one liner against Luiz. The same way they over-reacted when Luiz fouled Ba and should have been sent off, yes because he's the first ever defender in the history of football to take a man down when he's through on goal isn't he? not. I can accept constructive criticism off our players, but with DL it's gone way beyond at, it's fucking assassination. I might even be able to shut up when they do that if they give him his credit when he has a good game, but even when he does, they still try and pick out odd moments to make it look otherwise. It's getting beyond even creepy now, they can't still be upset because he kicked the fuck out Rooney two and a half years ago, surely?
  11. Glad to see he has finally accepted that he is going to have to fight for his place. It's like it always should have been, quite frankly.
  12. This has to be the position we sort out next summer, maybe even a short term solution in January. Arsenal supposedly are going to step up their interest in Gundogan, if he goes to Arsenal and we don't as much as show an interest i will cry, he is one of those take teams to the next level players, he is that good.
  13. Still not convinced it will be a title challenging one tho, they had Cesc, Nasri, Song, Arshavin (before he turned sour) and RVP and never got close.
  14. That's true, but i think that's more to do with the midfield than defense, we need to find a way to get through their midfield and get at their back line. Because Dawson is like their Cahill (good squad player), Vertonghen isn't that good defensively, Kaboul is returning from a long term injury, Rose is suspect defensively and as for Walker? best not go there.
  15. How i honestly see it? Mata will win games and cup's, Oscar will win titles. Im off to take shelter
  16. The highlighted bit is spot on. I do think however it's a bit early to judge our football this time round under Mou tho, i remember when Benitez came in their was concerns he would resort to his ultra cautious Liverpool style and stifle our flair players and as it turned out we were the opposite to that. Rafa's Liverpool were compact and tough to beat or even score past at times (when LFC were tactically spot under the Spaniard they were tough to create chances against let alone score past, as we found out on more than one occasion). Yet his Chelsea were the complete opposite, Although having said that if he had Schurrle available to him i don't think we would have seen the Mazacar all to often under Benitez either.
  17. That's simply not true. Chelsea fans have supported him like no other, still he gets the loudest cheer in the stadium ahead of club legend's, Lampard's goal vs Sunderland was greeted with groans by the MH faithful when they found out it was him and not Torres that scored (from the MHL it looked like Torres scored off the crossbar at the time, got undying support through 14 months were he gave us 5 goals and a 24 game goal drought. He got cheered through shit match after shit match while Sturridge and Kalou were getting dogs abuse despite looking like Pele in comparison to Nando. Look at how Eto'o is getting doubted after 3 games, then go back to after Torres played 3 for us, the comparison in support is so different it's stupid. Not a dig at you, i think your a good member, but Torres has had it easy from the supporters in general, especially in match days, if his abuse is bad like you suggest, then i would hate to think the word of Drogba's at the start of his Chelsea career (and he was 10 times better than Torres ever has been with us). Also he admitted to not caring about results last year, now imagine if any other player said that? they would have probably needed extra security on match days. No one hates him, but you can't say he hasn't deserved his critics at Chelsea, surely?
  18. Wouldn't bother styles, there could be a video recording of Jose talking to Baker telling him about his plans for the lad and there will still be some trying completely ignoring that video or pretending it's fake, then continuing with the same tired myth's.
  19. If Ramires out, then this game might boil down to how well Oscar is playing. Just think after this weekend we would have already played three of last season's top six away from home, the worst that could happen is we could 5 points off the top, and given that would be to serial North London bottlers, it ain't exactly a disaster.
  20. Thankgod im not the only one that notices that. Despite Torres's ok performance tonight, it has to be Eto'o for Spurs still.
  21. A pub team? they are a team of full time professional's in the 3rd tier of English football (the same division Oxlade Chamberlain was plying his trade not long ago), going to those places aren't easy, do i need to remind you about Brentford last season? or what happened to Arsenal when they played Bradford.
  22. Courtois has established himself as arguably the best keeper in La Liga. We can't loan him to Arsenal or Spurs for obvious reason's, and loaning him to Fulham, West Ham or those types just isn't practical when top clubs in Europe will happily sign him with their eyes closed. If he was owned by Athletico, there would be a mad (probably goalkeeping record breaking) auction for his signature this summer, just imagine (in that situation) if we said, "we want to sign you, but your going to have to go on loan to Fulham to prove you can hack it in the prem". See what i mean? next year it's decision time, he is just not going to accept a mid table loan or a rotation role when Barcelona and Real Madrid want him and will make him number 1 straight away. This isn't aimed at you, but we really have to start thinking realistically with this situation now. If we wanted to send him on loan to a midtable PL side, we should have done it straight away in 2011 then sent him to Leti.
  23. Maybe we should use United's blueprint, the one where Paul Pogba, Federico Macheda and Ravel Morrision are regular's in their team. Oh wait.
