It won't be his default style but I think/hope he will if need be, he's not Wenger or Brendan.

For me not too great but not too bad is best for us, I don't want expectations or headlines made of Conte on the back of this tournament good or bad. Solid quarter final appearance where they go out by a goal or on pens will suit me nicely.

Although I'm not advocating this particular debate carrying on, I don't see the problem with things occasionally going off topic, many decent debate has started that way. Eventually things always go back in natural order which is all that matters.

This is 2016, he could still have had the London life and played anywhere in Western Europe, many professionals do that.

His presence at Juve has always been a contrarian thing for me,” the agent told Gazzetta dello Sport.“He’s always vowed ‘I’ll never leave Juve’. You know those people who join a cult and soon become the leader? That’s Pavel here [at Juve].“So much so, that when I had an argument with [then Juventus President Jean-Claude] Blanc, I had an offer from Inter, [Massimo] Moratti had arranged a dinner, and there was also Mourinho who said ‘Come to us and win the treble’.“He spoke with some of the Agnellis, some said ‘go’, and others said ‘if you go, it will break my heart’. He decided not to go.“Then he called me, saying ‘if there’s a God Inter won’t win the treble’.” - Mino Rioala (Nedveds agent) on the approach from Inter after Juventus released him.

Cesc was confirmed before the world cup, Bosingwa before Euro 08, Paulo before Euro 04, Hazard Euro 12 etc... You can make signings any time, you just can't register them to play unless it's in the transfer window, but as their is no games between now and July 1st, the window is open by all intents and purposes.
-
How the hell do you know that?
-
I thought Ricky was a liability that season and its no coincidence him out and Alex in produced better defense. Fair playto him for still playing now tho.

You do realise Emenalos main job is the youth side of things not transfers? Oh and just incase you didn't know, since Emenalo joined the club we have got to 7 youth cup finals winning 5 and 2 Uefa youth league finals winning both. Im sorry but this vendetta you and a few others have against Emenalo is borderline creepy.

Having an opinion is fine, going over the same record again and again and again isn't, not only that I can't recall you ever posting about something else, if you did maybe you wouldn't get such negative reactions from people. If we say for argument sake sign Kante, Rajda and Kouliably this summer, would you come on here hold you're hands up an say you were wrong?
-
I think Kante, Mahrez and possibly Fuchs are the two players who will carry on playing at a top level, the rest will fall off a cliff sooner rather than later. I actually think Leicester will have another really good season next season (not title but I do believe top four challenge tbh but just missing out), season after, when CL is likely gone again is when they will fall back down.

Ramires offered atleticism which in some circumstances really helped, but tactically he was clueless, although I appreciate the service he gave us I was delighted we got £25m for him because as soon as he loses the pace he will be totally out of his depth in high level football, and with the move to China I think he has realised that for himself. If we play a 4-3-3 then the other two in the three can worry about goals and assists.
-
While that's true to an extent, we were having serious problems against just about anyone last season in midfield, even rubbish teams were cutting us open in the middle like knife through butter, Kante will go a long way to solving that issue. Kante is basically what we were hoping Mikel would be.

Well by the looks of it, the main priority is the centre defense and centre midfield this summer, so if Conte doesn't rate Ivan, is a highly experienced defender coming in for a season or two the worst thing in the world? We benefitted from Eto'o in 2014 despite him being past his best. No, but we can't always get our first choices which means looking at the next plans, and I don't think Rudiger is a bad option. His thread actually bares similar resemblance to Alderwierlds when we were linked with him last summer, now imagine how many defensive horrors we would have been spared season just gone had we had him? I'm not saying the board are perfect, far from it, however some of the stuff I read here (not aiming at you btw) reminds me of when I use to pick up my little brother from primary school and he said "I don't like him he didn't let me play with his new toy"
-
I seem to notice a lot of people are currently doing their best impression of the Real Madrid mentality. If they aren't a big name (Pogba), or a biggish name (Radja), they are "another Papy" or "proof the board are cunts". From my angle it looks like some of you are looking for any even minor excuse to keep up this beyond wierd vendetta against Emenalo/the board.
-
I thought they might have been, our transfer history since then has been quite limited and what I mean by limited is that it didn't look like Roman dipped into his own pocket, 2011 calendar year possibly but that's it.
-
Im thankful for the double and respect him as a man, but I wouldn't ever want him back, his league record considering the clubs he has managed is dreadful.
-
Its unbeliavably vital to get back in the top four next season, this season it being our first out of CL for 14 years mixed with Conte's arrival shouldn't hinder us too much in the transfer market, fail again and it will become a problem. We can't afford to be anything other than short sighted in that respect.
-
Before or after fair enough. During (the game) I hope theirs only one manager getting his name sung and that's the Italian trying to win us the three points.
-
@Styles is this you? From the BBC page And it's Torres!! The Atletico Madrid striker has finally found a team-mate with a pass. It's only taken him an hour.
-
What I've just highlighted, believe me when I say this because i mean it, if we were 6th or even 10th i would be banging this tune as much as you are, probably more but we weren't, we were 16th, one point above relegation, it's one thing being in that position August, September, but at Christmas, when has a big club been that bad? Not even Roy Hogsdon season at Liverpool was that horrific. The players didn't cover themselves in glory but blaming it on them is an easy cop out, their was many factors that went wrong last season with Jose, even if he won the a lot of the players back round there was still so many more stuff that needed fixing.
-
While I don't deny he has always had some sort of attraction to the United job, their isn't one shred of evidence he actually wanted that over a return here. WHS confirmed in I think late January/early February the deal for him to come back was done and Rafa has since confirmed he knew Jose was returning to Chelsea when he had that meltdown after the Boro game, which was late February/early March, which alone shows up that Diego Torres to be a liar. Also he didn't mean the three years here, he meant the last three years for United.
-
Some players it's just too obvious they will become a top class player and he falls in that category.
-
His (Jose's) track record got him longer, any other manager would have been gone after Saints. He (De Gea) does but making great saves playing behind a shit defense does not mean you're a world class keeper, Carlo Cudicini and Shay Given excelled playing behind average defenses when theirs loads of saves to be made, but they didn't have the required concentration levels to play behind a top defense where there will be only needed once or twice a match, and because of that they lost their places to Cech and Hart respectively. When United have a great defense again or he goes Real, that's when we will find out just how good he is, for many "for the camera" keepers, this is the point they get found out.
-
De Gea is a good keeper but ridiculously overrated, he makes a lot of mistakes for a top keeper even when hes playing well, he neaely cost them the cup last week. Martial is their best player by some distance, it's painful watching him play play for United, now I know how other fans felt when we had a young Eden. Also it wasn't a mistake to sack him no matter how well he does at United, I'm one of his biggest fans but ultimately one point of relegation after 16 games is totally unacceptable, his second spell was broken beyond repair.
