  1. Aside from last season, he has been.
  2. Ronaldo's goal record is out of this world, but technically he really isn't that great, soke of the simple passes and combinations he cocks up are embarrassing.
  3. Give the other ten players set roles and let him roam freely around the pitch.
  4. Put behind a decent defense and he gets three clean sheets in a row, funny that.
  5. It would cause many people to have meltdowns that would put Britney in the shade, but I hope it happens. I read that, as it stands, we are at risk of losing Zouma (well being unable to play him ala Alex) if this goes through, of course that's not the only reason I wanted to remain but just putting it out there.
  6. So by the end of the year Boris Johnson could be England's Priminister and Donald Trump could be President of the US. While we are at it, let's make Joey Essex the head of the UN and Tim Sherwood FIFA president
  7. Just as the PL was set to be a top dog for decades this happens. If Brexit was put in place five years ago we couldn't have signed Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen and Charley Musonda, three players I'm hoping have a great impact with us.
  8. If it happens in couple of years we cross that Bridge when we come to it, right now he will help fix a serious problem position for us.
  9. He wants to leave but doesn't want the Roma fans to hate him, that much is blatantly obvious.
  10. It's pretty simple really. Mourinho did very well to adapt the tactics to make sure we don't suffer with results, very astute peice of management that won i us the title. Hazard however was carrying us, as was Courtois, I can't recall many wins in that second half of 14/15 that wasn't owed to a big moment by one, if not both, of them. To try and downplay the contributions of either (and Tibo) is just comical beyond reality, take one of them three out and City would have caught us it's as simple as that.
  11. Martin o Neil was the one manager Jose didn't beat in his first spell here, now Conte's having trouble with him
  12. So Conte is treating the game as a serious match despite the group already being won. Im guessing Buffon hasn't asked about the bonuses this time
  13. I thought Sunderland played really well in the second half of the season and were unlucky not to be out of relegation shit well before second last game, they were outplaying almost everyone but kept drawing, Big Sam has got them playing as a team, something they haven't really done since the first season of Bruce. They won't be in relegation trouble next season, Allardyce is actually a genius at that level, he has even got Van Aanholt defending properly
  14. Mikel, Cahill, Ivanovic the main culprits. And because when we have seriously needed to have a good.window, we have done, 2012, 2014 two main examples, although I will give, we do tend to rest on our laurels after a league win, which I don't like.
  15. No I think the depth and the first team has got major holes, some of the players starting i think won't fit into Conte's plans even as squad player's, both aspects need sorting. I'm sure there is enough people behind the scenes to deal with all the nessesery transfers.
  16. If hes going to be a starter, absolutely not. Utility player? Unfortunately we can't sign Neymar to be Hazard's back up so that's when other aspects come into play. He knows and suits Conte's style and management demands, won't complain about lack of minutes, he's not the best of players but we have had Jarosik, Del Horno, Turnbull, Bosignwa, Maniche, Smertin, Zhrikov, Cuadrado and Salah in title winning squads at Chelsea, is he any worse than them? That's before I mention the on paper average players Fergie used for squad roles, did I forget to mention John O Shea is one of the most decorated players in PL history ?
  17. If he was going to be a starter then 100% I agree would be horrendous, however look at Fergie with say Cleverly, hes been a complete joke under other manager's but under Fergie he worked, maybe Giaccherini is one of them for Conte. I mean is he really any worse than Jarosik? who Jose signed as a squad player in our title winning season. A utility player who knows Conte and his management inside out, could be worse.
  18. The Talk Chelsea transfer system Are they world class? If no, slate the board as clueless, demand Emenalo be sacked and scream the club ain't got a clue. If yes carry on. Are they under 30? If no, slate the board as clueless, demand Emenalo be sacked and say the club don't have a clue and are short-sighted. If yes carry on Do they cost over £25m? If no, slate the board for penny pinching, say they only care about profits, squeeze fuck off Emenalo in there somewhere too. If yes, then all is good, for now................
  19. That would be painful, but luckily our next manager isn't an editor at the Express.
  20. You are one of my favroite posters on here but posts like that annoy me, this thread was quiet as shit when he went 10 games without a goal at the end of the season, 2 goals against Ireland and this happens. As for today, he looks brutal against teams committing men forward leaving themselves exposed for a counter, but the problem is, in the premier league not many teams will play that way against Chelsea and every time I've seen Lukaku face a parked bus or an astute defence he's been absolute wack. For me he's like a striker version of Ramires in the sense that has world class attributes that in certain circumstances can be a massive help, but has too many flaws to his game, meaning for one time he amazes you, he will frustrate you a further 7 times. I hope he makes a good career for himself, but I genuinely hope we stay clear of him, £65m for Lukaku is a brutally depressing thought.
  21. Doesn't it go down to head to head? In that case you have secured top spot bar a Republic win. I only say that because people have said Ukraine are out despite being only three points behind Northern Ireland, so I kind off assumed head to heads is what it's going on.
  22. By my maths unless Republic win vs Belgium, you will have top slot secured. Given the average age of the squad and the key players on yellows I reckon Conte should rest the entire lineup vs Republic if top spot is secured.
  23. If we want quality back up's we are going to have too, no safe number 2 will sit on the bench for any real period, Cudicini was a anonomaly and he even got fed up in the end. Or we could settle for a Turnbull and have the same #2 for years,
  24. I would have prefered United to have had an harder start. Mourinho teams can't chase deficits for shit, but almost always successful when they build a lead at the start.
