  1. Why wouldn't they? He may have a shit personality (from what he lets you see on camera) but he's a bloody good keeper. He will probably command about £40m still which will mean for all intents and purposes Alisson will cost £20-30m which is pretty standard.
  2. We wouldn't gross spend wise, but if Tibo's funding most of it then it's a different ball game.
  3. It can't be considered heat of the moment when some are doing it over and over again. For example ive seen Chelsea be called a pathetic club on here before, that's unacceptable even in the heat of the moment and like i alluded too if i wanted to read stuff like that about us i'd visit a Spurs forum. There's a stark difference between pointing out a player/manager/board member is shit at their job and explaining why constructively and that.
  4. It's one thing to be concerned/critical and demonstrate it in a constructive manner, a lot of the comments on here however go well beyond that and i suspect that some actually get off on shitting all over the club.
  5. Jesus christ, you'd think this is a Spurs forum the way some of you are rubbishing everything about the club.
  6. Even if the worse comes to the fore on that score, Pedro is infinity times more suited to Sarriball than Willian.
  7. You think? Pep dropped Henry after a title winning season, i could see Mahrez taking Sterlings place pretty quickly.
  8. Im guessing the next in command which will be Joe Edwards. That's why we should have replaced Holland with a club based assistant which would cover us in situations like this.
  9. Not really, Mount will probably have a PL or German loan and force his way in AC style.
  10. By all accounts Mason is excellent mentally, forget the level for a second, sometimes it's just too obvious like it was with Bale and KDB when they started out. Mount's speed of thought and impact on games is galaxy's ahead of Musonda, McEachran etc, it's worth noting that Charly went on loan to a weaker league and epically flopped. The maturity and intelligence in Mason's game is down to him, not the Eredivisie.
  11. By the same token you can argue RLC season means little as how many players have come to us or another big club from mid table teams and flopped, one of which being the best player at the club Ruben was at last season. Mount is a far bigger prospect than RLC and ive seen more than enough of both to come to that conclusion.
  12. I actually agree with you in general and have voiced it numerous times, but Mount is the real deal and the best prospect we have had in a long long time.
  13. Fabregas actually covers a lot of ground, he's just not very tactful defensively.
  14. Ofcourse they need to be good defenders but you are really underestimating how crucial ball playing defenders are in the modern game. If you don't have them you get left behind no matter how good defensively your defenders are.
  15. CB build up is the most important part of Sarri's tactics, Cahill and especially Zouma playing significant minutes will kill us.
  16. Only two fit Sarri's mould and the latter two aren't even PL level players.
  17. Ultimately game time in L1 is better than no game time elsewhere. We can't force clubs to sign our kids and play them.
  18. Suppose it's something different for you instead of banging on about how rubbish we are and how amazing our rivals are all the time
  19. Another assumption, i take it you've done a count to back that up?
  20. Is there another thread all this Monday "banter" can go on? It's beyond annoying hoping to catch 2/3 pages of either updates or analysis of Sarri's coaching and all we have is that.
  21. It's a moot point comparing RLC to Drinkwater because one's an AM/winger/forward while the others a DM. If we are going to compare them two we might aswell compare Ampadu and Pedro aswell.
  22. While i accept we aren't exactly in a great place right now, this isn't the lowest we've been in 3 years let alone our lifetimes.
  23. If we start the season with the same midfielders i can see Sarri playing a two man midfield which would likely be Drinkwater and Kante, something which will restrict RLC more, barring Mason returning and hitting the group running we just don't currently have enough quality for a 3 man midfield. Yeah i agee with the point re Sarri's coaching it's the one big ray of hope im clinging onto, but that will likely mean he's a squad player until if or when Sarri works his magic and early noises suggest he won't accept that, although that said if Sarri outlines a serious plan for him he might reconsider. Is he being pushed ahead of Alli? If true i couldn't disagree more, Alli is streets ahead tactically in my opinion, his understanding of space is insane. Mount is 50/50, i genuinely believe he could stake a claim next season but alternatively if a footballing side like Fulham or to an extent Newcastle (love or hate Rafa but he's good at giving already good players a further push to the next level Alonso, Mascherano and Torres prime examples although they were a few years older) that would be equally tempting.
