Ezio reacted to Muzchap in 🇧🇪 Eden Hazard
Lol true - but only from the keyboard warriors...
True fans know that a player has ups/downs.
Our role is to appreciate the good times and support them in the bad times - I'm sure he will get the same fantastic support as Torres!
Really proud of our fans staying so loyal to him, at last their is a glimmer of hope he can shine like he should. With that in mind I have no worries for Eden

It seems to me that he can do whatever he want. Some people comment on him like they don´t want him to do good. I think that everyone at the games is supporting and cheering for him. Why are the keyboard warriors ripping him to shreds after every game if he didn´t score 2 goals and bags 3 assists and blame him on the hefty price tag. He doesn´t owe us anything. He didn´t put up "I am worth 50 million quid". It was Chelsea who got ripped off by Liverpool trying to sign their hero away from them. He gives everything for the team. If it is not happening for him it is bad enough because it´s not happening for the team playing then as well. So instead of making all this worse by creating this hype talk around like "he is shit, he owes us, he is the biggest flop in the history of mankind (drama-ridden overexegartion at it´s best. what does it even mean ? as if the humankind would care if a player is a flop)" we should support him even though it is strange to do that behind the computer/tv. At least try to be reasonable on a messageboard. But I guess I am just oldschool asking for patience or reason.

I disagree. The lad hasn't even played his 1st minutes for Chelsea and half people from here didn't watch him at Werder. Yes, if he struggles to establish himself then he will probably be coming on from the bench, but if he does well, I'm pretty sure RDM will give him more chances. It's really down to Marko and how well he does. Just because that he is not a big name, is having Kalou's 21 and we didn't spend a lot of money it doesn't mean that he will surely be a bench warmer.
Even Kalou had his chances throughout the years. Lots of times when he came on as a sub and did well, he would get more minutes afterwards which he usually failed to make the best of.

Ezio reacted to Ollie in 🇪🇸 Fernando Torres
He'll always get abused here, even if he scored 50 goals next season it'll be "he scored 5 against Sunderland, 4 against Southampton and 3 against Norwich which anyone can do"
He won the Golden boot in a huge tournament, he played probably not even the equivalent of 2 whole games yet he still got the golden boot ahead of so many great players and made a huge impact in the FINAL against a team like Italy. ffs if he played every game he might've got 6 goals and 3 assists. He was good in every match when he was there.
Loved his assist for Mata too, was a truly wonderful moment which i personally loved as a Chelsea fan.

I'd hate to weigh in to the Torres debate because it bores the life out of me. But Spain were stinking tonight. In fact, Torres was single handedly responsible for their best chance in the first half. He didn't have a particularly bad game tonight, the whole team just weren't firing. Truthfully, they were lucky to go through.

What is up with people these days?! One mistake and everyone is overreacting!
Footballers are human and they can make mistakes like all of us do. Get over it!!

Torres should've scored, yes, but the worst part about this is he'll get all the press when RVP and Balotelli have bottled much better chances.

Lmao i knew thisd thread will be hot again. You guys are pathetic, really, really sad. He was on the pitch for about 20 minutes has had a few opportunities to score, he got the opportunities because he made great runs and his movement was good. The first one, Buffon stayed up and didn't sell himself, was good goalkeeping. The occasion when he wanted to pass back, he didn't do much wrong but the movement from the other guy was shit and gave him only that pass to play. Was never gonna get through and the 3rd occasion Buffon came out, the chip was just very unlucky. If he had played the whole game, he woulda had more chances and probably scored. Can't believe this thread get all active because he missed a chance. Unbelievable. He did a lot in those 20 minutes.

The thing is Torres has never been spectacular with Spain, especially with Vicente Del Bosque and his playing style. Fernando Hierro has more goals with Spain then Torres, and he was a CB. lol
I wouldn't put much stock into his performance in the Euros. In fact few players have been able to replicate their success on the club level to international scene.

Ezio reacted to Kieran. in 🇪🇸 Fernando Torres
I said this about 10 or 20 pages back, but Torres was essential to our squad down the stretch last season. He did not contribute the way we had expected, but he really did make a massive impact in both CL and FA Cup play.
He had three goals and four assists in the Champions League. We all know that this is not enough, but it was significant. His goal at the Camp Nou could have saved our Champions League dreams; I'm sure most of us watching had a sickening feeling that Barcelona were going to score at the last moment. He relieved all of those fears with a cool finish, rounding poor Victor Valdes. His crucial assist against Benfica was also important, providing a crucial away goal with a great pass to a charging Salomon Kalou. We won the tie 3-1 on aggregate, needing a late Meireles screamer to settle it.
At risk for being a bit underwhelming, it is worth being mentioned that did win us the corner that lead to Didier Drogba's game-saving header in the Champions League Final. It was the ONLY corner Chelsea had all 88 minutes. He came on as a substitute and, whatever way he could in our system, made a massive impact. (I also personally think he had appeals for a penalty)
He showed intense determination when he showed his frustration (when not being picked in the first 5 penalty takers). It may be a bit disrespectful to RDM, but he is showing the fire he had in his Liverpool days.
Whether or not he's a "£50m player," he made a significant impact on our successful Champions League and FA Cup runs and I think Fernando Torres deserves some credit. I'm very pleased for him and I actually back him to succeed here next season. With Mata, Hazard and Hulk behind him pulling the strings, we may yet see our #9 be the success we dreamed of.

I remember right after one of the PL games (can't remember which one) that Steve Holland was interviewed by CTV. Steve mentioned that he'd been working with Torres on movement, etc. Very interesting to hear Torres mention Steve publicly and reiterate what Steve said in that interview.
While Torres is boycotting the English media, he should also boycott Guillem.

A great signing. I feel that they found some true blues in Rami, Luiz and Mata in the recent years. Awesome display of attitude and passion by the three, all through the season.
I still think we depend a tad too much on Mata. I want us to sign another CAM as that is the only position we dont seem to have options!

Excited for next year... We are getting players to play vertical and not horizontal... Should suit our #9 perfectly... Just keep the faith and just watch..
Because I'm sure if you had the pressure of when you mad the slightest wrong touch you would be snubbed, you wouldnt play well either.. At loserpool he could mess up and knew he had the COMPLETE backing of the team... He needs that...
Come on Chelsea!!! I'm sensing a treble next year

I always had the sensation that they don't have a good relationship off the pitch. But after hearing them both saying that they don't understand why they didn't play together, and watching them celebrate together on Saturday, I may have been totally wrong.

What in the world is this nonsense? I'm going to assume the implication here is that Torres said "I'll leave the club if Drogba doesn't". If so, please point me in the direction of this quote. Since I'm fairly certain it doesn't exist, I'd very much like to know how you extrapolated your comment from even the worst Torres quotes (the one's that had conveniently left out all the positives) before it was discovered that he is in fact not the bogey man he had been made out to be.

Fernando Torres on the Champions League Final and his season at Chelsea.
I caught up with Fernando Torres after the Champions League Final in Munich. I asked him about his thoughts on the game and his frustrating season at Stamford Bridge. I would appreciate that it if anybody uses any of of these quotes, they could please mention the source. Thanks.
This interview will also be published in Spanish in Diario AS.
Guillem - It´s been an incredible season considering that things haven´t gone exactly according to plan.
Fernando Torres - That´s what football is like, in the end what this season has taught me is that football is made from these moments, these special moments - a group of lucky people and sometimes you need a little bit of luck, and that is what the team has had.
G - Like for example, Drogba, who has scored 9 goals in 9 finals - to me that seems incredible.
FT - In the game against Napoli at home - it finished 3-1, I remember that goal-line clearance from Ashley Cole - if it had finished 4-1 we would have been out of the competition. We won that game, then went to the Nou Camp and it seemed to everyone that we were going to get beat 10-0. But with a bit of luck or hard work or whatever you want to call it....we got through to the final at Bayern Munich´s ground against Bayern Munich, in the 82nd minute we were 1-0 down, then we brought it level and it went to penalties. We went a goal behind at the start of the shoot-out and ended up winning. I think that is what this team has had, especially towards the end of the season, are some championship-winning moments - maybe we´ve been lucky, but maybe a bit of luck was what the team was lacking in Moscow.
G - And in the 82nd minute, you were a goal down, what was going through your head? Did you think that it was all over? Were you tired?
FT - No, no, we were thinking about winning. I think that what we needed today was to attack, I don´t think we did the right thing settling for 0-0 and they punished us with Muller´s goal. The thing that has made this team so great, that has made us beat Barcelona, Napoli, Benfica, has been the fact that we defended through attacking, and today we didn´t attack. We attacked during the last ten minutes and part of extra time which gave us chances, if not we´d have lost 1-0.
G - When you were brought on, you got involved, you ran for every ball.
FT - It´s contradictory because I feel like I´m at a peak moment in my career, with more desire and hunger than I´ve felt in a long time, but I´ve had to spend the final on the bench. It was a huge disappointment when I saw the line-up, perhaps the biggest disappointment in my life. I thought I would play in this game and I couldn´t imagine not doing so. But in the end I could participate and offer the team something. I´m really happy.
G - What have you learned this season?
FT - This season I have felt things that I never had before. I´ve felt like they treated me in a way that I didn´t expect, not in the way that was spoken of when they signed me. We´ve had a lot of talks and we´ll talk about my future at the end of the season because the role I´ve had this season is not for me, nor is it the one I expected to play when I came here. I´m not comfortable. A victory like this one against Munich does compensate, but I want them to tell me what is going to happen in the future. Football has been fair on us, on me. Now I do feel like football is worth it but I´ve been through a difficult time. The worst in my career. And I don´t want to go through it again.
G - And what does it depend on?
FT - I don´t know. There have been a lot of ups and downs, there´s been many times when I´ve felt lost, I wasn´t sure what to do. I felt like I didn´t know where I belonged. I´m eternally grateful to my family who have been by my side and also for the support of the owners who have stuck by me. And especially to the fans, if it hadn´t been for them this season I would have given up.
G - So, what would be the ideal situation for you next season?
FT - For someone to tell me what is going to happen and what sort of role I will have within the team, what my duties are, what they expect of me and then judge whether it is worth it.
G - Will we see you in Schruns, where the Spanish national team is heading this week?
FT - First London, where we´ll celebrate this win and then the next day Ibiza. I´ll be hoping to be on the list when it is announced on Monday. As I´ve said, I feel better than ever, hungrier than ever, but that´s what football is like - often, when you feel you´re at your best they don´t consider you.
G - In any case, you came to this club to win medals such as this one.
FT - Yeah, the European Championship, the World Cup, the Champions League...There´s a very important game for me, on an emotional level, against Atletico de Madrid in the European Supercup and I´m counting the days until then.

The interview in full. What is the big fuss about? Balague was obviously trying to drum up attention by selecting certain quotes and slapping them on twitter before posting the interview. He could have easily just posted the interview in full, but no, he wanted hits and attention. He certainly got that.

If the Guillem bastard hadnt cut parts of the interview out, and just simply put the full thing up to his website, no1 here would know anything about that interview. I'm 100% sure. Its just a normal interview, a player is talking about his feelings. You wouldnt care about his words if you have read the full one first.
