Mata needs rest in the worst way so I hope he plays sparingly in the next few matches. Use Malouda, Danny and Drogs and get 3 points.

Just finished watching the game and it was definitely not one of Chelsea's better games. We're through to the final four and have an immense task in front of us. I sure would like to see mata get some rest, he seems to be coasting and lacking in energy. Go Blues!!!

AVB has to shoulder his share of the blame but, FFS, the players have to carry their share as well. Some of this team, Lamps and Cole come to mind, seems to play like shite and not for the club who pays them so well.

I was afraid this was going to happen. The team never bought into the AVB way and it seemed like they just didn't care. If they start playing better now that will look like they tried to get AVB fired.

Chelsea can upset the apple cart by winning. I think we'll beat Napoli. Play well is all I ask.

Josh needs to play somewhere, whether at Chelsea or on loan, because that will benefit both player and club. I hope he can get a run in the CL and the league cup. His youth and potential is enormous and he needs to play.

DD hasn't been his usual self, but that might be due to his injury. We need the midfield to control the game and get it to the forwards. Mata gets two (maybe more)this week and QPHA won't tally anything. Clean sheet will have the back line feeling better about themselves. I hope Bosi gets a breather and Iva plays for him.

Drogs didn't have his best game but he did do some things well. Mata is a flat out player who will be fun to watch for years to come.

That was a tough game, Kalou's blunder aside, and didn't feel Chelsea played particularly great as a team. We are going to move on so let's not worry over this one. BTW, Frank played a very nice game and the goal was superb.

Frank seems to be rounding into form slowly and will be much better as the season wears on. I think he took awhile to adapt to the role AVB wants him to play but he looks better on the pitch. The team as a whole have gotten better each week as has Frank.

Unfair to compare them because they play differently on the pitch. Lukaku is just beginning his career at Chelsea and, I believe, it will be a long and successful one.

Lukaku could have helped, I think, during the group stage. Let's give AVB the benefit here, hoping he has a feel for the right players to include. I just hope Kalou doesn't see much action.
