I'm coming around on Luiz, as I still think he has a ways to go, but you can't deny the passion he brings to the pitch. I still believe Ivan is better but Luiz will get better. How long will it be before he plays?

My preference would be Brana, Cech and Mata. Prefer an outfield player to be captain but would make an exception for Petr.

I'm going with Mata because the energy and skill he brought to the pitch was fantastic. Ramires, Bosingwa and Terry all get mentions also.

Does anyone think AVB will pair Luiz with Terry any time soon, Idon't. Iva did have a bad game but has usually been a consistent performer.

Mata injected an energy that has been lacking. I can't wait to see what he's like when he gets really acclimated to the club.

Lamps can still help the club, he just needs someone that can draw out his strengths, like Modric possibly could. Mikel and Ramires are both fine players but their games don't mesh with Frank very well.

Mikel is a good player but is not the player essian is. If AVB can put in the right system I do think Mikel can flourish. I just want him to play to his strengths and if he does the club will be alright.

I would really like to see Yossi get a run to see what he can do. I think this team misses Essian and his steadiness a lot right now. It is a long season so let's be positive that things will be better soon.

I'm confused but didn't Chelsea win today? Sure, it wasn't the prettiest performance ever seen but it was a win. Give WBA credit for playing pretty well for most of the match. BTW, Lamps and Drogba weren't great today but I still believe in them.

I like Kalou, but he can be God awful at times, like today. Sturridge needs to get a shot when back. Torres looked good.

Chelseas is going to win 2-0. Drogba gets the opener and Torres gets the other in garbage time. I just wished I could see the game but no TV here as far as I know.

A change of scenery might be what Kaka needs to get back to the player he was. Is it the system at Real or has he just slipped in his play?

Joe Cole. He was always a favorite of mine and when he was healthy he was a contributor. Ballack always seemed to work hard and do the little things that don't always get recognized. Robben is a fantastic player and I miss him. Deco not so much.

For the record, I think Lampard was out for that long due to different injuries. I think you are right. Frank seemed to have to have other injuries than just the hernia and that contributed to his subpar season.

The more I read about AVB the more I like him.

I'm wondering what AvB can do to get Torres to be the player he was in Liverpool. Will he be able to make the defense better, will he get Lamps, Drogba et al. in better positions to score. I want to him to motivate the team and bring the guys together as a unit. If he accomplishes this then the chances for a title winning season will be greatly enhanced.

Please, please beat the fuking Devils. This isn't a bad draw but it won't be easy either. The Devils are a bunch of whiney rats and the Blues will take care of them this year. GO BLUES!!!
