Benitez: United and Chelsea had unfair advantage
Elliott replied to Badboy's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
That CANNOT be real. Seriously, that's a joke Badboy, right? Right? RIGHT? Source please! -
Sky Sports I would have thought? Or maybe it is Setanta? It'll say on the Chelsea FC website in the fixtures list.
-
Oh right, no it's a newspaper report about Jose calling Wenger a voyeur
-
Best penalty he's ever taken last night!
-
Apparently my local up in here in Loughborough is gonna be closed because it's a bank holiday Quite simple really, must win game.
-
1 and 2 are dirty Liverpool tackles, what more needs to be said? 5 is Gerrard as a kid, he was an Everton fan. 6, don't you remember that? Surely you remember that? Or are you that new a Chelsea fan? Well, looks like Rafa messed up. This comment on Drogba was clearly mind games, but all it did was fire Didier up and he scored two goals in the process!
-
That is another good question, would Jose won last night? Perhaps he would have, but I feel he would have been too negative. Maybe he would gotten our defence working better, which means it would have been okay, but honestly I feel there would be no difference to our defence with Jose in charge and maybe we'd have lost the game... If we can win the Champions League without a good manager... well perhaps we are looking at a Benitez scenario!

After our triumphant victory over Liverpool, a serious question has to be asked. Grant has done what Mourinho just could not - beat Liverpool in the Champions League. Is it luck? Is it tactical nous? Or is it a one off? Or was Benitez just José's bogey team? We had plenty of luck in the first leg with Riise's own goal, but in the second - we got no luck, good nor bad. We won on pure merit, all the refereeing decisions were correct (yes, including Essien's goal that was disallowed). For me, the reason we won tonight, was because we attacked Liverpool. We created chances and we scored goals, something Mourinho didn't seem too keen to do. It worked against most teams, but against Liverpool, it played into their hands. This was Grant's decision, Grant's move, well we can assume so. So well done Grant! Never thought I'd be saying that after the Carling Cup Final but he seems to have learned some lessons. He'll never be Jose, but tonight, he has proved himself better in one area - vs Benitez.

Words do not express my ecstatic joy. A great performance on a classic European night, dug deep and found the goods. WELL DONE Chelsea!
-
Exactly the team I thought he'd pick. Suppose we will have to panic and put Essien in midfield at some point
-
To be honest, given the way they conducted themselves last night, I don't think United will drop any more points.
-
WHAT WERE FUCKING HELL, TELL ME MORE FB ? ? ?? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Some scalliwag smacked a Chelsea fan with a brick round the head, feller goes to hospital, discharges himself and was then found dead later.
-
Given that Chelsea fans have sung about their fans dying in Hillsborough that would be a tad bit hypocritical.
-
I will always remember this, fucking brilliant. Well done to that man with the decks!
-
Despite what Chelsea want, I won't be buying any more kits than usual. I generally go for one per year, before that meant a home kit and then an away kit, but now it'll just be a home kit every summer. Whatever.

Duff was a great player for us, but unfortunately injuries got the better of him and I felt we offloaded him at the right time.
-
On another forum I said "cue Liverscum fans singing about Lampard's mum" and this liverscum fan started complaining that I shouldn't criticise us for doing it before we do it - pretty much admitting that they were going to do it. Wankers.
-
Mind games, interesting.

Rio attempts to kick wall, misses and kicks Chelsea steward
Elliott replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
People complain about sensationalist journalism, and then do it themselves. Rio kicked a wall and slightly touched a woman in the process. She did not take it full pelt, he didn't miss the wall, blah blah. It's stupid by him, and I hope it ruins his chance at England captaincy, but people will just probably come out with "he's passionate" bullshit. -
Suppose that's that then.
-
A scouser is a Liverpudlian, ie someone from Liverpool who has a dirty accent and dirty habits.
-
Hahaha oh yeah, that was fucking brilliant. I can just imagine the sight it would have been in the background on the post-match bit by Sky. Most satisfying win since the last time we beat them, at Wembley 11 months ago. Our first half performance was one of our finest, whatever Grant said at half time obviously deflated the players because they came out slow paced and slow witted, but they rallied after the equaliser and Ballack tucked that penalty away with aplomb. All that pressure, league was over if he missed, and he coolly tucks it away. Legend! Still very much in United's hands, but they could well slip up against the Hammers and we just have to make sure we win our last (four) games to turn this season from disappointing to surprisingly amazing.

Interesting. It could be a crock of horseshit, or it could be true. Take it with a pinch of salt, but still, interesting.

Reports are that Lampard will not play as the club has given him compassionate leave.
