  1. I disagree, it means they don't have to rely on one striker for their goals. It's a step forward for them. They like us need a top winger more than anything however.
  2. He's a very good player, always rated him and I don't know what's worse, him playing for Spurs or him playing for Liverpool. It's a good signing for Liverpool and it will bring them closer to us and United.
  3. What are you on warnie and can you send me some? Shauny is not a fucking freeloader, the lad puts effort in and you can tell he wants to play. Cudicini is a back-up goalie, he knows he's not going to get many games but wants to stay and fight for his place, you can admire that, and to be fair he's already a club legend and has earned that time. Pizarro though is a different proposition as he has never really shown he's capable and perhaps this article above is right. Can't say I blame him though. The club's fault for offering him so much money in the first place.
  4. Yeah but the sugar is keeping you awake
  5. I'm not into Batman films either but it was awesome
  6. Hey your real life is far more important than here, and don't worry, no-one is insulted by your absence, but it's good to see you back.
  7. Alcohol makes me sleepy... Maybe you should lay off the alcopops
  8. I hope he retires whenever he's no longer good enough to play for us.
  9. Both wingers seem to have done alright in pre-season so far. I wouldn't be too upset if we kept them both, but if we do bring in Robinho one of them has to go and I'd prefer it to be Shauny just because he's been here longer and not proven himself whereas I'm willing to give Malouda the benefit of the doubt over last season.
  10. Well, yeah, Mourinho and Abramovich did make us a big club.
  11. I hate biting my nails, they're too thick, makes my teeth hurt. And anyway, few players dirtier than your nails.
  12. I'm sure he will to be honest. There's no reason for him to be involved this heavily if he's not going to be.
  13. Well 7-0, can't argue with that. Let's get 10-0 against Malaysia and then get some results against some real teams in Moscow. Edit: Also, anyone got any links to the goals?
  14. And Mikel and Essien will do that to a certain extent, but not in the way Makelele did. They are different players which is my point, and we can't rely on Mikel or Essien to be Makelele.
  15. Fantastic film, and I agree, Heath Ledger as The Joker was seriously impressive. Possibly some of the best acting I have ever seen, so convincing.
  16. I was about to have a good laugh at our fantastic ex-manager Grant being offered such a lowly job. As for Anthony, well, clearly this would be a good move for him. Any league club would be a good move for him. Except maybe Luton because then he'd get relegated.
  17. I'd settle for any trophy, yes even Carling Cup, however we can and should win at least 2. League has to be priority as always, Champions League second, FA Cup third and Carling Cup fourth.
  18. And why is that? I said nobody. Simple reason being that I don't think either Essien or Mikel are suited to replace Makelele. They are different types of players and as such we will have to play differently. We still need defensive minded midfielders, but we don't have a Makelele, Mikel and Essien are different and will play slightly different roles. You have said yourself before that Mikel is wasted in a Makelele role, but he would be the player to take it up if we DID force someone to take it up. However in the Guangzhou game it was clear that we weren't employing a Makelele role at all, rather using our midfield differently. I prefer that, I prefer a change, I think it will do us good.
  19. I love how conservatism = backwardness It's certainly how I've always seen it...
