I know this is going to sound silly, but I hate when the interviewer/press people do this:
They prompt the new/young players by specifically mentioning Lampard and Terry but don't add it in their question. It doesn't sound sincere at all when you watch the actual interview. If the players wanted to specifically praise club legends like Lampard and Terry they'd do it, there's no point coercing them into doing so and acting like you haven't. I have seen it plenty of times when the interview is on the club channel and then the printed interview is very different.
It's like when Joe Cole mentioned this about Liverpool:
The club must be contractually obliged to big up Terry and Lampard at every available opportunity because otherwise it doesn't make sense.

TALKSPORT this morning;
Liverpool fan : "Why aren't Chelsea fans celebrating outside the ground!?"
Presenter: "Maybe they've got jobs?!"

I believe it's normal in some parts of Africa to address people who are important to you as "father". So it's out of respect. I'm not saying people don't find it weird, just that it might be a cultural thing.

Essien will almost definitely be a Chelsea player this coming season, as a RB and general Utility player. I think he is still very useful.

I just hope that people won't get too disappointed if we don't win anything in his first year here. All of us have great expectations but it must be hard for Jose to live up to these expectations right away.

Some people here are being so ridiculous and childish to use this "not-so-successful" season of Mourinho's as a leverage to belittle his ability and achievements.
Mourinho led Porto to win Champions League, Porto for god sake! PORTO!
Mourinho led Chelsea to win Premier League after freaking 50 years! Twice in a row!
Mourinho led an unbelievably average Inter to win Champions League!
Can anybody else do that? If you can't find another one then shut the hell up and be grateful he is coming home!
He is only human, not freaking God, of course he can fail, a football manager is not like a bloody FIFA player that controls a whole team's faith all alone by a controller! His so-called failure in Madrid takes away nothing from him. I don't know why he doesn't get along with Madrid's Mr.BIGs and I simply don't give a damn, maybe they are jealous of Mourinho's handsomeness? or maybe they are too much an ego to be replaced by someone actually better? As a Chelsea fan I don't care about what's going on in Madrid, I only know Mourinho was loved at Porto, was loved at Inter, and most importantly he was loved at Chelsea! Fans worship him and players respect him, what else you need ffs.
Everybody has the possibility to fail in any team, but for Chelsea, Mourinho is our best bet, argue with that!

Would it be fair to say that as of now, Mourinho needs Chelsea more than Chelsea needs Mourinho?
