I know this is going to sound silly, but I hate when the interviewer/press people do this:
They prompt the new/young players by specifically mentioning Lampard and Terry but don't add it in their question. It doesn't sound sincere at all when you watch the actual interview. If the players wanted to specifically praise club legends like Lampard and Terry they'd do it, there's no point coercing them into doing so and acting like you haven't. I have seen it plenty of times when the interview is on the club channel and then the printed interview is very different.
It's like when Joe Cole mentioned this about Liverpool:
The club must be contractually obliged to big up Terry and Lampard at every available opportunity because otherwise it doesn't make sense.

Fair play to Torres scoring 22 goals this season! He has looked like in the last month or so that he has got that pace and acceleration back that he had at Liverpool! And he shows it again last night!

I don't care how many games its taken him to score over 20 goals at the end of the day you still have to put the ball in the back of the net! Playing 60 plus games doesn't mean you will automatically score over 20 goals, it doesn't matter who the opposition is you still got to put the ball in the back of the net and Torres has done that!
I want him to stay next season as he keeps improving every year, he has adapted now to this team! He has some of his pace back now, all he is missing is that swagger and confidence he once had and who better to give him that than Jose? As long As Jose wants him here then I can see Torres improving again next season! I doubt he will be first choice so he will have to fight for a place in the team next season but I think he is up for that! If Jose can just put his arm around him and give him his confidence back then I think we will start to see what we paid for a lot more next season rather than glimpses like we saw last night! He still seems like he has too much on his mind at times he can't seem to make his mind up quick enough when he gets the ball he is not sure whether to pass, shoot or dribble past a defender, in the end he takes too long and loses it or give a bad pass hopefully Jose can make him more decisive in the final third, but I guess that comes down to lack of confidence as well! You can see he has improved though under Rafa when the ball is given to him at his feet his first touch doesn't bounce off him as much and he usually lays it straight off to a team-mate which is what I want to see from him when he has his back to goal, and as I have said he looks a lot quicker lately his pace and acceleration have improved and he is looking more dangerous because of it! If Jose wants to work with him and improve him I really think Torres can be a very very good player for us next season!

Ripped Luisao a new one last night, best player on the field for me.

Fair play to Torres last night. Was poor in the first half, just like the rest of the team, but came to life in the second half and was shocked to see he actually got the better of Luisao and Garay, especially for his goal which was very well done, considering how meekly he always looked against similar physical and strong defenders in the Premier League.

Credit where credit is due. Really good off-ball movement putting the defenders under pressure and closing down to them, scored a nice goal (the way he got past Luisao was something I didn't expect from him, tbh) and HE DIDN'T DRIFT TO THE FLANKS (which is one of those things that have pissed me of most about him ever since he joined us, among a lot of other stuff obviously) and kept his position up front.

Probably our best player in our Europa League campaign. Congrats Fernando.

Deserved to score in the final, main reason we got there, so congrats to him.

What a goal, reminded me of Barca last season, kept his cool when it mattered.

1 more game left this season. Finish with a win, wrap up third, announce Jose and the new deal for frank and this season has ended rather well considering how doom and gloom things were a couple of months ago.

How any of you can not put Torres as the motm is absolutely & categorically beyond me, he never had a prayer with the formation we played, yet he worked his absolute nuts off for 95 minutes. As with Benitez let's give credit when & where its due, he has taken so much stick from most on here including me at times so come on people let's all eat some 'humble pie' for Fernando!
