Scholes is better than Lampard no doubt, but Lampard has still done so much for this club. All you are doing is pointing negatives out about him, in all honeslty we probably wouldn't of had most of our success under Roman if it were not for him. So show some respect.

The simple fact is that Mikel isn't the answer. He can be a squad player but the amount of chatter about him is fucking ridiculous compared to his actual level of talent and his importance to this club. Lampard isn't the answer, but neither is Mikel. They're both square pegs in round holes who can sort of fix at a stretch.
Mikel has had some good games, Lampard has had some good games but the arguments about both have got fuck all to do with this club and more to do with certain people needing to be right and feel validated.

Spot on, the fact Cech is making more mistakes in a short period of time is worrying. When an outfield player is displaying the same inconsistency you would expect him to have a spell on the bench, my belief is that he needs a sabbatical and Schwarzer given a chance. In the past Cech has had no competition and knows that he could get away with poor displays, I think he has become complacent like a few of our players of late, a spell on the sidelines won't do him any harm at all.
No point mentioning Courtois, despite already stating my thoughts about him being brought back, we cannot do anything now until next season but in Schwarzer we have a capable deputy.

Cech still makes a lot of fantastic stops but I also think he is making more errors than he did a few years ago .. No I 'm not going to dig out stats and old videos .

Not every talent shines in every game, so the strict approach your using is meaningless, it takes time. No matter what you think we still have the luxury of giving De Bruyne time, their is still a full season to be played.
If De Bruyne was playing utter dog shite and I mean Torres style, then I would consider what you said valid, but I don't think he's been anywhere near as bad as you've said. It's took him time to settle sure, but it was the exact same thing with Schurrle.

When Mikel has had a good run in form, which has been around 4-5 games he hasn't been able to carry it on. I only hope he does.
If he does manage to have a good season, then I think many of us should be saying sorry to the board including myself for yelling at them for not buying a deep lying playmaker or a CM. As perhaps keeping the same side was a good idea after all, instead of replacing a full team.
Lets face it I think anyone would of gotten rid of Mikel last season, but putting faith in him for another season was a big decision, and if it pays off then it's one of those things what can help us with more success in the future. Man Cities downfall is that they buy new players every season, had it been up to them they would have gotten rid of Mikel two seasons ago and already of had Joao Moutinho or someone in the side.

Kevin De Bruyne is one of the best technical players I've ever seen, besides Hazard. But De Bruyne has flair which is what Hazard lacks.
I hope we mold him into the calm game, someone like him would thrive a lot more at United where the play is more direct. De Bruyne is brilliant when he has space, but we can adapt him to be even better in the future. I think he should be getting more games.
Beginning of the season I liked watching him on the right side, he seemed to always come in handy there, not sure why he hasn't been playing more. Even if he isn't starting he should be playing a majority of our games even if it's for about 20-30 minutes.

He doesn't have to be back to be a good player. Rooney is a good player but he was more talented when he was 21-22.
