  1. Lampard has specifically said he still sees himself playing at the top level for another 2 or 3 seasons. He will not be a Scholes or Giggs like player playing the odd game here or there. He wants to be a first team player on first team wages for the next 2 or 3 years. Drogba wasn't shown the same respect despite being a fans favourite. The club will no doubt change the manager again in the summer. Why should they tie up a soon to be 35 year old on a lucrative multi-year deal when it's possible the next manager comes and in says 'sorry but you're not part of my plans'? He should show a little class and stop speaking after every game about how much he wants to stay and making all these passive-aggressive comments towards the club. Just get on with it see what happens in the summer. Why didn't he speak to the press after QPR? Where were all the quotes about him wanting to stay and how much he loves the fans that night?
  2. Lampard is really playing his 'fans favourite' card very strongly to get himself a new contract. It's working better than he ever imagined
  3. Maybe our next manager wants Isco bought in.
  4. Torres couldn't justify an unpaid internship right now let alone 8m a year. But we're stuck with him because that contract has many more years to run. Tough break. Our midfield needs sorting for the long-term and throwing 8m at a 35 year old isn't the best answer. We have a clear issue with our central midfield play. Time waits for no man.
  5. I can't see how they could justify giving a 35 year old nearly 8m.
  6. Think it's better if he gets his record and moves on.
  7. Interview with ITV after the game http://www.itv.com/sport/football/article/2013-01-05/demba-ba-delighted-with-two-goal-chelsea-debut-video/ Interviewer "Did you dream about scoring two goals on your debut?" Demba "No but I had a weird dream by the way but I won't tell you what it is." HAHA
  8. http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/130105/ba-explains-chelsea-move-and-thanks-newcastle-fans-188667? Demba Ba pushes the defenders back, more space for the guile players = more goals and more chances Something Torres never quite understood. He wanted to stand still and receive eye of the needle passes between dozens of bodies. We finally have an intelligent striker.
  9. Haha. We're all adults here nobody should be upset about this. Anyway Lampard is the bestest ever give him 10 more years. I'm sorry guys.
  10. I think I've upset so many I'm just trolling now haha
  11. Lampard has a selfish streak and has done for years. I tell you what there has been plenty of times when he has ignored a better placed teammate to smack one from 25 yards. At least Ba showed a little class today and let him have it instead of asking for it. I doubt some of you were into football back in these days but watch this

  13. Right because Drogba would definitely have missed. No chance he would have scored that. Lampard is the only player who would have scored that penalty. Drogba was an excellent penalty taker if you hadn't noticed. Remember Munich? What if Portsmouth equalised after Lampard missed the penalty in the FA Cup Final and then when on to win the game? See I can play this game too.
  14. After refusing to let him take the first one.
  15. To deny a teammate a hattrick on his debut is about selfish as it gets. Disgraceful even in my honest opinion. I don't give a shit about his goal record if it comes to the detriment of team morale and eventually team performances. This guy is supposed to be a leader, he gets credit for being one of the most experienced players but that right there showed a level of selfishness that would get someone like Sturridge physically assaulted.
  16. I know this will upset some of you but I think it was an absolute disgrace that Lampard didn't let Ba take that penalty. Our new striker on a hattrick on his debut and he didn't let him take it. That for me goes down as one of the most selfish things I've ever seen in the game. When he eventually leaves in the summer I'll remember things like that and I won't shed a tear.

  18. Hazard was only able to make that pass because Ba made the run. Torres would have stood still and then complained about not receiving a pass that had to somehow magically come through two defenders. Hazard got an assist he wouldn't have got before and Chelsea score a goal that simply wouldn't have been before. One player making all this difference.
  19. Made Torres look like the clown he is.
  20. DEMBAAAAAAAA! We can now have 11 players on the pitch!
  21. Zenden isn't even allowed to sit on the bench. What does he actually contribute? Clearly Rafa just giving one of his ex-players a free wage because he was a good pupil. It's all about who you know I suppose.
