That's the plan.
-
Awkward considering Terry currently isn't much better than Cahill.
-
Jokes on us because Conte is resting him for Saturday. He'll probably be the first name on the teamsheet, next to Ivanovic of course.
-
I haven't disliked a player this much in years. Such an overrated fraud with a high opinion of himself - genuinely looking forward to the day he fucks off.
-
Chelsea fan who wants to see Hazard fulfil his talent but understands it won't be at Chelsea. Hope that answers it.
-
Perfectly put. It's almost as if the club decided that it's too ambitious to want more and are happy to settle for mediocrity.
-
What would be the best destination for Hazard? Funnily enough I think it's City but I doubt that move would ever happen. He must be so envious of De Bruyne right now. Bayern Munich?
-
1-2 good games in this set up is an achievement. Kudos to Hazard for being able to pull it off What club achievements? We can finish 10th without wasting the talents of a top player in the process.

Don't know why you guys are talking about the second goal when it was their first goal that could have been saved.
-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Expect this clown to continue to get games and one half decent performance against a rubbish team will be used as justification of his role in the team. It's the Oscar way. The fact that Conte has fallen for this fraud really has set the alarm bells ringing. He's not the manager I hoped he was which is a real shame.
-
It's a shame for us that football is not played on paper. Maybe our so-called bigger names would have won but they got exposed for what they are: frauds.
-
He was, absolutely. Using your 3 subs with just 6 minutes to go despite losing for almost the ENTIRE game is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen a supposedly top coach ever do. Trust me I'm not being hypercritical at all. You said in one of your earlier posts: "Liverpool's starting XI today was not even close of being stronger than ours." Again, that's something I disagree with. Several of our players wouldn't make Liverpool's team. You think Cahill, Ivanovic, Oscar, Matic would? Hell, I would take Mane over Willian personally.
-
Yes, I believe so. And trust me, that's not to protect Conte - there are some worrying signs about his management but I refuse to blame him for having non-footballers make up 70% of his squad.
-
We will have to agree to disagree because in my mind those are 3 of the biggest culprits right there. Those 3 players should have been moved on the summer but here they are, still in the first 11. Matic is a prime example: he is a slow, one-footed donkey that lacks even basic spatial awareness. How can we ever play well with somebody like that in a key part of the field? It's impossible.
-
I wouldn't want to waste my prime years.
-
What would you class as positive direction? We could play awful football for most of the year and still finish higher than we did last season. Positive signs for me would be a progressive, modern style of play being implemented, some dead-wood being banished and players like Aina getting a chance. How likely are those things to happen? I'm not gonna hold my breath.
-
Honestly, if I was Hazard I would ask my agent to get me the fuck out of Chelsea asap.
-
We didn't invite pressure. What happened (and what tends to happen when we play good teams that do things like pressing well) is we got exposed for what we are: a shit footballing team that cannot build play under pressure or even keep the ball beyond 4 passes. So we end up camped inside our own half with no outlet. This has been the Chelsea way for several years. We only play well against shit teams that don't press and show us too much respect. What needs to be addressed more than anything is the fact we have so much fucking dead weight all over the place - players that wouldn't make the bench at top clubs are first choice here. It's a joke. Conte may or may not be a good manager but we'll never know because of the group of players.
-
Honestly, Conte may or may not be a top manager. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt (and I will) but I'd be lying if I said there weren't some worrying signs. But what isn't in doubt is that we have an awful of shit footballers and that arguably more than half the squad is dead-weight. And we will continue to be an also-ran for the foreseeable future because of those reasons. Tonight we lost to the first good team we have played this season. We couldn't get near them in the first half and we only came back into the game because their level dropped. A large part of the second half was what I would call 'fake pressure' - they let us have the ball and we had no idea how to create any meaningful chances. Tonight's game was eerily similar to what we saw last season and why would it be any different? The team is largely the same - there haven't been nearly enough changes to have a clean break from the rubbish of the 15-16 season. Hate to sound so downbeat but I'm just sick and tired of watching us get outplayed by every half decent team we play and resorting to shit on a stick football. Surely at some point enough is enough?
-
Typical Oscar performance: run around like a headless chicken and contribute absolutely nothing. Outplayed by every single Liverpool midfielder? Would he make their team? Of course not. But Conte's a fan so heyho. Have to watch this joke for another year.
-
His time at Atletico coincided with them having an unbelievable defensive set-up. Courtois was better protected than any other goalkeeper in Europe. He was solid in the first year at Chelsea - I wouldn't say brilliant but to each their own. But what world class keeper do you know that hardly ever makes a telling contribution? A penalty save here? A crucial stop there when we're under the cosh? He hardly ever does these things. That's what separates the good from the truly world class. He's no better than Begovic. As for Cech, he had his head caved and in my opinion, was better than Courtois is now during those 'bad years'.
-
One of the best young keepers? Sure. But world class? Nah. And this supposed rough patch has been going on for quite some time now. At some point we have to accept that some players aren't just out of form but are actually performing at their real level.
-
Tbf Guardiola is starting with a much stronger group. Man City have better footballers (ability on the ball mainly) in pretty much every single position. You make a combined XI and who makes the teams? Kante and Hazard and that's about it.
-
4 days off is more than enough recovery time and we should be happy considering we play Leicester on the following Tuesday. As for this game, yeah I'm not looking forward to it. We are awful when teams press us and Liverpool have speed in Mane and Sturridge that is going to cause massive problems.
